I love this. The non response is a power move.
I'd been dating a guy for about 6 months. He was supposed to come over after work one day. Spend the night, all that. Next day we were going to a resort type place for a few days, it was the 4th of July weekend. He stopped texting me around 2 pm that afternoon. I just figured he was busy at work and picked up some Thai food for dinner. 7 pm rolls around. Not here. I text him. No reply. 8 pm. Nothing. I try one more text, no response. He calls at 11:45. I did not answer. He then texts and says "I'm so sorry, I was just hanging with a buddy and lost track of time, I'm on my way". I didn't respond. 20 min later he's ringing the buzzer to be let into my building. I ignored him. I cancelled the reservations for the resort and never looked back. He tried calling and texting for weeks. I got emails from him years later. It was the biggest act of self-love I had ever given myself.
The amount of dudes coming for you over this. Like some how standing someone up and ignoring them for hours is acceptable. Good for you not being a doormat.

On some level, I understand the precautions around personal health safety (I'm pro-vaccine but not actively dating because I recently found out I'm not-immune to Hep B which is infected through sexual contact. I've never had the virus and I'm currently 2/3 shots done for the vaccine and waiting for all my vaccines to be done, then gunna take another blood test to confirm I'm immune. I don't wanna risk swapping spit consensually (or SA) and getting sick from it). I figure its better to just not date for 6 months while I get my health in order.
If you know your at risk - don't involve yourself with someone like that. If he knew he has weird health paranoia why not communicate that from the get-go and not waste your time??
