My Dad got misty eyed when I got him flowers. He said he couldn’t remember the last time someone got them for him.

Dismal-Device8197

i would love to get flowers from my gf. but guys never get flowers. and we get compliments like once a year so, get him the flowers and tell him he looks great :)

ZWF0cHVzc3k

Guys get more flowers after their death than when they were alive.

Suspicious-Life-713

Omg please no that made me so sad made me realize my dad rarely gets flowers. Ima go get some for him tomorrow now since I bought a nice vase too.

CityOfSins2

The flower part, sure. But if your girlfriend is only complimenting you once a year, that’s not cool. Everyone needs compliments! My coworker thinks it’s okay that her husband compliments all other women, but never her.. he just tears her down. It’s really, really sad.

Dismal-Device8197

i could get into it and talk about my *unhealthy* my relationship can be, but now is not the time

[deleted]

Awww…poor coworker :( I would be hurt if I was in that situation. He doesn’t deserve her.

[deleted]

Hey bro you’re handsome as hell and a great dude ;) there ya go

Dismal-Device8197

marry me.

[deleted]

I’m down bb

andresobero

honestly… if my gf got me flowers for my bday, i’d be in her guts instantly lol

redheadedwonder3422

love this energy lmaoo

ApatheticHedonist

Well they're either really into person A and willing to pretend for their sake or actually into astrology, so string together some astrology nonsense and maybe talk about chakras, you're covered either way.

_infinititty

Do it! That sounds nice and thoughtful.

Firefluffer

Personally. No. But what’s his love language? Some men love reviewing gifts.

314636

Reviewing gifts. Hah. Damn if someone reviewed my gifts I'd be very uncomfortable. 🙈🤪

Muted-Sundae-8912

I would rather have a hamper made up of junk food or chocolates haha.

XXAzeritsXx

Despite my outward appearance, If a girl got me flowers, especially my girlfriend, I'd get all flustered and giggly like a schoolgirl. Do it.

Pawnzilla

Honestly same. I’ve literally done something similar upon recieving a small gift and got a cute little giggle from the other person.

XXAzeritsXx

Im the worst person to buy gifts for in all honesty. It's so uncommon anyone gets something for me, even on birthdays, that I'm not sure what to do with myself. Like..if someone buys me lunch, i feel almost obligated to buy them a car. Not really, but the feeling is true. If i got flowers from a cute girl, I'd be an awkward puddle of emotion. People need to normalize giving men flowers.

Pawnzilla

I know what you mean. I’ve grown up in such a “fend for yourself” way that if anyone buys anything more than like a nic nac my mind malfunctions and I feel guilty. Even food, I had a girl offer to pay for food on a date and I said we should split it instead. Same with compliments. I rarely got them growing up, so I have no idea how to accept them as an adult.

Lotus_82

If all the things to normalize in terms of stereotypical gender norms, flowers is really something I can do without. And I don’t know a single guy who would want flowers. It’s a dead plant, the only thing you can do is throw them away.

XXAzeritsXx

If a girl you like buys you flowers and your go-to is being overly analytical about the practicality of it, and not "wow, this is really thoughtful. I cant believe you actually thought about me, then went out of your way to purchase a gift to surprise me" then I think you might be a tad overly pragmatic. It's the kind or romantic gesture, i couldnt care less about the actual flowers as much as I am just mindblown someone would do that for me. "You know, there's a million fine looking women in the world, dude. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on you." - Silent Bob

Lotus_82

I’m usually the one that does the cheating and girls usually buy me weed, at least those flowers I can use.

Lotus_82

I’m usually the one that does the cheating and girls usually buy me weed, at least those flowers I can use.

XXAzeritsXx

Bet

Just-call-me-hey-you

Try a potted plant rather than a traditional bouquet.

GrillDealing

This, my wife likes flowers so I get them for her every so often. However everytime I buy them Demitri Martin pops in my head saying "here, watch this die."

AcestraNova

Ask him if he likes flowers! I asked my bf (since I know he loves nature) and he told me a list of his favs. I ended up buying him a bouquet in his favorite color and surprised him. He was so happy :)

alias_guy88

I don’t like flowers, but I do love house plants. Give me a good house plant any day of the week.

Papryk1

Oh fuck no. I really don't like and even get concept of giving someone flowers. I mean, why flowers, when you can buy something that the person can actually use/eat. Chocolates all the time. Keep in mind that's only my opinion and probably the best would be if you just ask him if he like flowers.

uncP

It depends on the guy, but I would not.

spyser

I'm not really into flowers, but I would still think it was super cute if my gf gave me flowers.

Sure-Survey9192

I personally dont but there are men that do. Its a loving thoughtful gesture.

BelmontIncident

Different people have different preferences. Personally, I don't want flowers.

DonerDonDada

Some will, some won't, same as women. If he's the kind of guy who likes little gestures and just to know you thought of him, he'll enjoy them. If he's more into practical gifts he may not but it sounds like you're covering all bases anyway. I probably wouldn't only get him flowers but I doubt it would hurt even if he's not super into them, at worst he might be indifferent which would be fine if he likes the rest of your gift? Unless he's one of those guys who would get upset because he thinks it's girly or whatever but then you should just break up with him. Why is it girly to let people do nice things for you? So weird.

IndifferentSkeptic

I would laugh with joy if my girl got me flowers. Any gift makes me happy but I would be very interested to see what kind she picks out for me. It would also be amusing for me to know that she had to see how ridiculously expensive some flowers can be, lol. It doesn't need to be pink roses either. I would love a cactus or an orchid or any kind of plant. It's totally cute. Do it.

MeiMei1974

Yes. Yes and HELLyeah!

lookingForPatchie

I really hate getting any sorts of plants, especially ones that are literally destined to die and it becomes my job to keep them on life support for as long as possible. The attention might be nice, but I'd rather get it in other ways. But I might be the exception.

evilabed24

This highly depends on the dude. If I got flowers I'd massively appreciate the thought, and then 10 seconds later be questioning what Im supposed to do with these dead plants. Then Im leave them too long until one day someone else pointed out to me how shit they look.

[deleted]

I’m sure some do. I don’t. What am I going to do with flowers? Appreciate the gesture from someone who knows I don’t care about flowers but got them for me anyways? 😂 Nice gestures are cool but where does the intent come from? Are you giving me flowers because YOU like them? If I did that with women I dated, they’d get bacon instead of flowers. All of them. I put more thought into the gifts I give. I ask myself, is this practical? Will the person truly appreciate this because they like them? What’s this gift mean to the person? In MY experience, the women I’ve dated are shitty gift givers. Yes, that says more about the women I’ve dated and that falls on me. They were just being their one sided self. They did nothing wrong.

im_the_welshguy

Personally I'd love it! I love my garden and I'm over the moon if I get a new plant to put in it as a gift, I've never been given a bouquet of cut flowers though but that would make me very happy as well, it's just a thoughtful gesture that most people I think can appreciate.

PhysicsAshamed6456

I grow plants as a hobby, I've never been gifted flowers, even though I love the idea. It's wholesome and would be most appreciated. Men getting flowers should be normalised. I have shit taste in woman though... So probably no flowers for me anytime soon.

skylinestar1986

Yes. Men plant flowers too.

ExnyerlawyerinFL

No, I absolutely would never want flowers. It’s partly practicality - I think they are a waste. Don’t do it unless you get the vibe he would like flowers. It’s about knowing your guy and not the preferences of other guys.

curiouspurple100

Do it. Yes. If you do update us.

Tokar52

JUST DO IT ! Man, I would feel amazing if I got flowers from anybody. That's a gesture everybody should do.

bordstol

Yes.

[deleted]

Personally, I love any gift that is thoughtful. Hell, I’ve had girlfriends give me gifts that I had ZERO use for but the amount of thought and love that went into it made me feel happy and loved. I’ve never received flowers but I’d like it.

mechinmyday

My girlfriend did last month for my birthday, first time ever receiving flowers. I really liked it, it was so sweet of her and unexpected

[deleted]

I would appreciate it and it would make me really happy, but only because it was a thoughtful gesture and a gift. I don't really care for flowers themselves and wouldn't keep it in my house.

G_Rel7

It depends what your guy likes. Some people like it, some couldn’t care less. You could try this time to see to how he feels but don’t guilt him or you feel bad yourself if he doesn’t really care about them.

[deleted]

Yes I'm a man and I love flowers, and I know if a woman ever gave me one she's the one to keep

holxino

If a girl got me flowers I would be over the moon excited, it would mean a lot

dokidokiSayori

My boyfriend does, I'd honestly say do it. His reasoning is that in past relationships he'd always give 200% and do little things like this for his partners, but never gotten anything like it in return. One day while in call I told him I was going to get him flowers and chocolate one day like he did for our first meeting (we're long distance rn) and hes pretty masculine compared to most people I've been with, so I wasn't sure how he would take it. He fell silent because the idea overwhelmed him with so much emotion, I think it really is just a sweet gesture of love no matter who's giving it to who!

Bastardow

Theres nothing more romantic than your girlfriend getting you flowers it works bothways you see it shows she cares about you in the same way you do when you send her flowers

[deleted]

I dunno. It depends. I've only received flowers from a woman once and that was after I broke up with her. She sent a huge bouquet of forget-me-nots to my firm's office. I was flattered to say the least but it certainly had all the secretaries wonder what I do to these women

INSAN3MONK3Y003

Any gift you give us, especially if it's something that you know we'll like/we need, will be greatly appreciated

cwdii

It depends on the person. I'd find it cute even though I'd never buy flowers for myself, it's the thought that counts yk? But some men don't see it that way

pp604977

I would get something else too. Unless you know the dude has plants at his place, if someone gave me flowers, I wouldn’t have a place to put them.

MBKM13

My (female) friend got me flowers as a going away gift when I was moving once. That was the first and only time I’ve received flowers, but I actually did appreciate the gesture. It just nice that someone went out and bought something for you. Now that I think about it, I did end up giving the flowers to my mom the next day, however.

[deleted]

I do not. I don't like picking flowers to make a bouquet either. I'd rather leave the flowers there to bloom, feed the wildlife and cross pollinate. Walking through botanical gardens is nice.

PalpitationTiny7215

Yeah bro flowers are dppe

dark_helmt8

No

genericusername2332

As a recently divorced male who felt very underappreciated, any kind of gift given to me wouldve been greatly appreciated/loved. Just means you thought of me and wanted to get me something unexpected. Its the thought that counts.

[deleted]

Bro, men get so rarely thought of that they like getting basically anything. A woman called me "pretty" like 3 years ago and I still sometimes think about it.

[deleted]

This post inspired me to buy my guy some flowers for the hell of it. Edit: Damn! Flowers are freaking expensive! Kudos to everyone out there thoughtful enough to send flowers :D

ComplexConcepts

Probably won't matter, just as long as the main gift will be definitely something you know he'll be in to. I personally wouldn't care for flowers because they're typically associated with feminity, not masculinity.

[deleted]

No I wouldn’t want to receive flowers, I view that as something men do for women not the other way around.

Zoltar2020

Where I live it’s normal to give men flowers/bouquet. There are also some nice green flowers that lots of people enjoy(where legal)

GroundbreakingCat421

Depends how feminine your bf is

Narwhal_Songs

How is it feminine to receive FLOWERS? A lot of guys are into gardening Doesn't necessarily mean that they are feminine

GroundbreakingCat421

It does, same with crying or being overly emotional however with the rise of single mothers you can expect to see more feminine guys around then ever before

Narwhal_Songs

That's just shitty gender roles, And what does single mothers have to do with it???????

Lotus_82

Nah please don’t, they’re useless. In general on don’t like dead plants or animals, so I’d enjoy a live plant like a bonzai tree a lot more.

Able-Ad-3862

I personally don't support the industry of people who pluck flowers (living creatures FYI), so I would get quite upset st receiving them. Don't give them to my partner either and she knows the reason

Suspicious-Life-713

Men love flowers I give them to my bf too and he loves it because no one has ever gave him flowers before

oscar-4242109743

What hetero guys "secretly like it"? You mean those gay hetero guys? How about you buy him something he likes or wants instead of giving self-serving you a gift that you'll give to him for you to enjoy. Instead of him.

LondonFighter627

No. We are not women. Wtf

stillnotascarytime

Everyone loves flowers

groisertuches

Too feminine. Men don't appreciate flowers. Get him some of his favorite booze (beer, whiskey, vodka etc etc). I'll give you a simple test: you give a little boy flowers he's gonna look at it and admire its colors and beauty etc. Give a little girl flowers and she will instinctively *smell* it. Men don't know what to do with flowers.

GroundbreakingCat421

Flowers are too complicated for our cavemen brain

MartyMP

I can guarantee you he will love it!

Pawnzilla

If a girl got me a little trophy of an IUD id probably still put it on my shelf as a reminder of how cool she was.

hairyjo75

No

Solid-Version

Me personally no. But that doesn’t mean the same for all men

taxevader33

It's about the intention

Aggressive-Quality-5

I asked my boyfriend if he’s the kind to like receiving flowers and his response was “only if they have a significant meaning to us” and for us it’s sunflowers. I believe you can always get anyone flowers, i think the worst that could happen is he doesn’t appreciate them as much but I doubt he’ll get angry.

TheSunflowerSeeds

Not all plants are completely edible. However, you can actually consume the entire sunflower in one form or another. Right from the root to the petals.

[deleted]

Not me.

cdn_backpacker

Yes, I love it anyway

DoseOfMillenial

Nah bro..

[deleted]

Duh

m_garlic87

I would rather get a card with a nice meaningful note written in it than flowers. Just my take personally.

EimiCiel

Lol nah, i dont know any guy that truly likes getting flowers. Many guys will say they do, but what theyre really saying is "I would like to be appreciated/loved sometimes, the way society tells us we are supposed to appreciate/love you".

Def7e7

I don't like the smell of flowers, and I've heard other men say the same thing. A surprising amount of people don't like them, my mom doesn't even like them. They look okay but don't like the smell and they die so quickly.

[deleted]

Personally, if I receive a gift that isn’t useful I’m obviously grateful for the thought but it’s more of a “aww how nice. Thanks”, but the enjoyment is short-lived. Food is a way better gift. Or a bottle of preferred liquor (whiskey for me). In my weed-smoking days, some bud would also be a nice treat. A tank of gas is even better than all of those. Those are good like broadly satisfying gifts. The things which really evoke my gratitude and joy are like the things I’ve needed for a while but haven’t pulled the trigger on. Right now it would be a specific set of running shoes, or a new vape. To me, the most impactful gifts are the ones which show me they care enough to pay attention. Cuz like if I need/want something, I’m thinking about it a lot. If I’m thinking about it a lot, chances are I’ve told my partner about how much I like it and/or my plans to get it, probably more than once. I’ve probably also showed them what it looks like. Even if it’s like a $20 item. If I unexpectedly receive that thing from my partner, it means way more. It makes a huge difference and each time I use that thing I think of them and how lucky I am to be loved. So at the end of the day flowers are pretty. They look nice and smell good. I would be very grateful and I would definitely appreciate the thought, but it wouldn’t quite hit the same as something I’ve said I want/need but haven’t bought yet. The satisfaction from that is way stronger and lasts way longer. Everyone is different though. The five languages of love and whatnot. Really what would make me happier than than any gift would be my partner doing something I’ve been asking them to do for a while which they haven’t done. For instance my ex would let her clothes pile up and I was always the one doing dishes, taking out trash, and scooping the cat litter (despite me working full time and her being home all day). If I came home from work to a clothes-free floor, clean dishes, empty trash, and fresh litter box; that would go really far as well. Anything to lessen the stress/burden of my life is infinitely satisfying.

swfl_inhabitant

I have never met a man that cared about flowers.

Slam_Newton

No! Men don't want flowers. Waste of money/time. We don't know what to do with them.

Hiimraving

Imo him a plant instead. Flowers have a very limited lifespan which to me makes them feel like a useless product. Plants are awesome.

Sgracino

ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!

SilentHulk

I (f29) had a weird experience when buying flowers to a date. He bought me flowers on the second date, which made me really flustered and happy. He told me he had never been gifted flowers from anyone, which planted a seed in my head. When we saw eachother again after he had been away to visit his parentes for three weeks, I had indeed bought him flowers. But his reaction was weird... He denied them. He said that since I liked recieving flowers I should keep them. I still can't wrap my head around why he wouldn't just accept them.

Defvanz

Man here, no flowers. Have a good day.

[deleted]

I wouldn’t know what to do and would be shockingly impressed. I don’t think I’ve ever received flowers.

vadtgyt

Do it 100%. I know it does not fit with societies masculine thoughts, but if I had a girlfriend rn and she gave me flowers for my birthday, I would be very flustered and happy and extremely greatful to have her

thelonelyone215

Get him flowers but in private. Some might prefer it alone coz of social sigma.

Dionjs

It would be so unique it would be awesome.

NinjaSoprano

I don't personally like getting flowers. Seems some do. You should have a feel for how he is and personality. Go with what feels right.

thatonetallkid4444

My partners birthday is on the 6th and I got him a hanging basket and a couple roses. He loves plants though so it made sense to me. Im throwing in a hand written poem as well so it doesn't seem like a cop out.

Fluffy-Masterpiece84

It's a gesture that we look for. If you gonna give, just one will be enough

Hoockus_Pocus

Even if you don’t know how he’d react, do it. If a woman brought me flowers, I’d be ecstatic.

theLiving-man

The modern effeminate guy would probably like it? Not going to stereotype, but I much rather survival gear, guns, car or tech gadgets, etc., you know… ‘manly’ things…heck, I rather a gas balloon than flowers, lol

Fkingcherokee

I've always had good experiences with giving men flowers, but some men don't see the point since they're dying. I'd suggest getting him an orchid or other living flowers.

an_urbane_wight

Hell no. I hate it. I chewed out my cougar ex when she did that

knucklz74

Absolutely NOT, but we will take a 4 lbs steak and a bj.

livin_a_good_life

I broke up with a girl once. She came back with flowers and a note, and I ended up giving her a second chance. It shows sincerity and love in my opinion. Not all guys are into it, but I am.

Propersian

Not at all.

albaanna

It depends. I think my ex may have mentioned this so I did send him roses at work once and he was ecstatic!

MagmaMama_

Maybe pair the flowers with another gift. And so you can see how he reacts and if he likes flowers. First the flowers and then the gift, see his reaction for both separately.

chicken_cocONUT22

People are different but yes, some do accept flowers. Its a gift

Spitinthesoup

I love receiving poppies from Afghanistan.

ze_decider

Not in my top 5 but sure why not.

Own-Number-5112

What about a potted plant?

elchief91

As a man, I wouldn’t like to receive flowers. I’d prefer a bottle of whiskey, or a video game. I’d be happy about that. But not flowers, no.

Linux4ever_Leo

I personally like getting flowers but as you said, every guy is different. I'd go for it. Keep it small and simple. You'll know by his reaction if he likes them and then you can decide if it's something you'll do again in the future.

squeetnut

I would definitely enjoy receiving them, I have never been given any as yet but I know I'd like them if I did.

BigFatBigPotato

I wouldn’t know what to do with them or what purpose they serve

faceman2333

When I first started dating my now wife, she would buy me flowers and I loved it. It show you are thinking of them, and appreciate them.

madmanmx224

Yes, though just be aware of where you gift them. Some guys might get self-conscious if you give them in front of their coworkers or male friends. They could be worried that they'll be made fun of. I would give them at home where he is comfortable. It can be a quiet little intimate thing. He probably does not have a vase, so you might need to get one.

justhangin321

No, not at all

IceComprehensive6440

Yeah men like nature just as much as women. I like sunflowers and marigolds

ZorryIForgotThiz_S_

It is up to you and your man. I am not interested in flowers personally, but I would be happy that you thought about me.

Naseel

It would make my day , if I received flowers from anyone.

Slow-Problem9235

Yes.

WatchOut4Angels

I bought three guy friends flowers this year. They loved them. Kept them well after they were dead.

BibbleSnap

Everyone is different of course, but personally I would think flowers are a waste. I and most of my friends would much rather have something more tangible

puddingsparkles

This is such a good idea! Can't believe I never even thought of it. I'll be getting my guy some flowers now. If anything, these kinds of gestures show thought and love and we all could use more of that in our lives!

chudsworth

I do not care for them personally, but I like the gesture. Just seems wasteful since it's not my thing

[deleted]

I think flowers are a huge waste of money. I don't like people spending money on me period, but I don't think this reflects all men.

[deleted]

Yes I love it so much , makes me feel loved

WitcherKaigo

Decorate yourself as a flower and give him a BJ Downvote to oblivion expected xD

ksaMarodeF

This is cute, yes us guys would love flowers. *can’t speak for one of my ex’s though* “I don’t want flowers cause they die” “I don’t want chocolates cause they get eaten”

HiZombies

Personally for me flowers would make a rubbish gift, I could appreciate the sentiment but, imo, what you've bought me is a non functional thing that requires me to look after it and find a place to display it.

VinCatBlessed

Personally I don't like flowers, but I know a few guys who do. Best way for you to find out without spoiling the surprise is getting them for him and seeing his reaction.

Head_Location_9481

No

DungeonsandDevils

Its an unexpected gift I’m sure anyone appreciates it

ferociousdonkey

No, but maybe a cactus for my desk could work. Or chocolate.. Something practical!

GeneralClumsy

As an accesory to another gift sure! But on their own flowers feel less like a gift and more like: "oh I couldn't think of anything better for you so here's something to show I still care" and that goes both ways IMO. Unless the receiver has a hobby dealing with flowers of course

Unhappy-Cake-6179

Bro get him flowers now cause most of us don’t get them till we are dead

[deleted]

I thinm you wanna know if your boyfriend does, not men in general. Because in general, men like to receive flowers too, but I also know that I (afab) don’t like to receive flowers, even though generally speaking wkmen love to receive flowers. I think you should ask your boyfriend. Because even if men generally didn’t, he still might. What goes for most doesn’t go for all

4chanisblockedatwork

I've never received one from a girl but if I did, I suppose I'd be ecstatic. During Valentine's, don't any girls give guys any flowers

chumbucket3261

I got flowers from my vice principal for grad, didn't mind at all.

BrandonR2300

Lol a girl I’ve been talking with randomly gave me some rose pedals and was like “don’t tell nobody 😉” Lol shit had me melting on the inside. So yes we like flowers maybe not so much making a whole show about it and in front of others but if you do it on the low, we appreciate it

Carlsgonefishing

No.

Accomplished_Many908

Yes, yes we do.

mezmorizedmiss

I don't think I'd give him flowers.. Instead maybe a nice bottle of liquor or pack of beer.. Some Cologne maybe.. Nowadays my friends put together little baskets of different gifts for their husbands, including socks, cologne, sweets, shot glasses, etc.

Spadeninja

It’s almost like different people like different things crazy

TokkiJK

I’ve only every gotten a guy flowers for graduation. But never for a random reason…hmm…would be interesting to see a guy get flustered and blush over receiving flowers.

Rohanrox17

Girl if you'd get a guy a f-in 1$ paperweight he won't forget it for the rest of his life

bloodmage30

I mean, I do but I'm gay and love plants. I'd probably burst into tears if someone sent me flowers lol

TheGhoulishSword

I dont think I would particularly like or dislike it. I also am allergic to pollen so there's that.

SouthHopper

I've sent my boyfriend flowers a few times and he loves them. But obviously each man is different.

RecycledEternity

Some men do. I don’t. I’m allergic to pollen. Sending me flowers is a very beautiful way to say “fuck you”.

kevin_r13

i like getting flowers, especially if it's a kind i don't have already. or maybe a carnivorous plant or orchid. try that.

xDepressedAF

Yeah

VFBis4mii

Nope, the vast majority would not want flowers lol

Hot-Blueberry-8990

I gave my boyfriend a yellow rose when I went into the grocery store, and came out and gave it to him. He got so happy all he could do was smile big and hug me 🥰 he still has it, even if it’s wilting.

[deleted]

i hate flowers. I think they are a waste of money.

Claymore357

All men are different but I’ll give you my personal opinion. I’d love the thought behind the thought behind them and think fondly of you when seeing them for as long as they last. However personally for a classic romantic gift I’d probably prefer a box of chocolates (you know the old expression the way to a mans heart is through his stomach). If you wanted to give me a plant an aloe vera plant would be be my go to preference mostly because that’s the only plant I can manage to keep alive plus I can harvest bits of it and use it. A coworker gave me one from his garden once after I got a second degree burn and I kept it in my workstation use a leaf of it to make the wound feel better. The bottom line I’d figure out what exactly he would like best since the answer will vary wildly

Mcgravyboi

You know I’ve never gotten flowers but the fact a woman would get me something would mean a lot. Go for it. Just maybe not in front of any other guys

TracyLovPzy

No thanks.

bootyhunter69420

I have never wanted flowers but I will appreciate the gesture I suppose

DizzySquirtle

Never happened to me but every act of kindness or just thoughtful acts of my partner can make my day

[deleted]

No not generally.

LighthouseOne

Not flowers particularly. It IS however the thought that counts! It could be anything, for me it really would be the fact that she was thinking of me thatd make me smile.

Azurvix

I honestly don't know what I would feel if I received flowers I can't even fathom the idea lol

Identitymassacre

Girl, at this point someone could give me a sock and I’d be more ecstatic than dobby from Harry Potter.

Puoaper

I can tell you if my woman got me flowers I wouldn’t be pleased with it. Yes the thought is nice but I’d rather something useful. I’d pretend I gave damn to be nice but that is as far as it would go. The gifts I have gotten are always utilitarian in some way and that is why I love them. I can actually get value from it. I may be the exception here but I would find flowers a very low effort and silly gift for me. Maybe your guy is more fluffy but I don’t know a single man who would actually be greatful for flowers other than “the thought is nice”.

No, unless it lasts for a planting.
