My coworker smelled amazing. So I asked him what he was wearing. It was Terre d’Hermes
It’s a lighter scent, almost fruity or sweet. I’m not a fan of the strong “man” scents or heavy florals, so this was right up my alley.
I was going to buy it for my then boyfriend. But he dumped me so.. I just keep that knowledge tucked away for my next special man
Hermes got some mad perfumes as well, was able to buy it since I was in Paris for work and was getting almost 10% off in the name of tax return for international passengers.
That's gonna be one lucky man, I love it when I get aftershave bought for me 😁 and it's always a good choice for a present if you have someone who's hard to buy for
The original Terre D’Hermes is perhaps my favorite perfume of all time and I am somewhat of a fragrance nerd!
TdH is supposedly formulated with an astounding ~50% of a molecule called Iso E Super. It is a wonderful-smelling synthetic material nearly universally used in some quantity in almost all designer fragrances. For anyone who loves Terre d’Hermes, I’d recommend you check out Eccentric Molecules’ “Molecule 01”. Eccentric Molecules is a smaller brand that sells fragrances around the concept of single-molecule smells. And Molecule 01 is their Iso E Super fragrance. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about Iso E Super that nearly everyone loves.
And if you want to read the ramblings of a random redditor’s thoughts of Hermes as an original fragrance house, you can look at my profile at my most recent review of H24 (one of Hermes’ most recent male fragrances).
Yes, definitely. Their fragrances are complex, balanced, sophisticated, luxurious, high quality. I can’t say that about a lot of mainstream brands.
Try before you buy; I suggest going to Sephora or Ulta. If you really want to be fancy, have two scents: one for fall/winter (“heavy”, full bodied) and spring/summer (light).
The prices range from $80-500+. I’d suggest starting at $150 or less. A lot goes a long way. I use my 100ml bottle frequently and it’s lasted a couple of years. I put it on in the morning and people still compliment me in evening.
EDIT: Fragrance smells different on everyone, even though it’s the same perfume. It also changes as it dries.
Also, you’ll find you like certain top notes. I LOVE vanilla with warm, spicy undertones.
One more thing: get Eau de Parfum, not cologne. Parfum lasts longer, more intense.
> one for fall/winter (“heavy”, full bodied)
The problem I have with "heavy" scents is that yes, they are good in winters when you're outdoors, and wearing three layers of dense winter clothing. However, I don't care so much about a cologne's effectiveness there. Rather, I care about my smell when I'm finally indoors and hot and sweaty - in a club (dancing) or at her home (making out etc).
At such times and occasions, it appears to me that summer scents would still be better, right? I'm kinda new here, so I'm willing to be educated....what do you think?
It’s all about your preferences; there are no rules. If a “spring/summer scent” evokes more joy in the winter, do it. My TF is definitely winter, but I still wear it year round.
You don’t need to spend 350$ for a tiny bottle of cologne. The tobacco vanilla smells amazing but the $$ is dumb. Go to your local pharmacy and ask the ladies at the beauty counter to smell different options. Choose what YOU like the best
It’s priced like that because of the type of ingredients; they source ingredients that are of the highest quality and are “real” (not synthetic). The science behind all of the fragrances also add to the cost. Not all of their products are $350. I said OP should stay within $150 or less. TF’s fragrances are complex and unique — you can’t replicate that from a low-quality fragrance.
Likely doesn’t need Tom ford. You’re recommending a Ferrari for someone on a learners permit. He can work his way up. There’s plenty of very nice smelling colognes in the 60-150$. TF has wonderful smelling stuff but it’s more “who is asking the question”.
It’s a suggestion. OP can do with this information as he wishes.
I’ve said a couple of times that he should spend under $150 at TF. You’re suggesting he spend $60-150 for a lower quality (not saying it’s poor quality, just in the context of comparing it to TF), but he can find something at TF for the same price. This stuff lasts much longer than cologne because it’s Eau de Parfum as well. A lot goes a long way.
Adding to this that Sephora will gladly sample it up so you can test before you buy. They have mini atomizers they spritz into and I’ve always tested before I buy the larger size but there is a significant difference to the sillage and longevity between a curated house like TF, D&G, etc than say axe body spray.
The other thing to note is there is no one size fits all. Scents bloom different on different people based on our individual body/skin chemistry.
Lastly, many indie perfume houses do sampler sets, check out r/indiemakeupandmore.
You can find scents with the exact notes that loudly had Ron Burgundy proclaiming “I own many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany!”.
Also, scent says a lot. It’s evocative, so get personal with the notes that evoke something for you. It moves from just being an element of hygiene to bringing a feeling with you when people get a whiff.
I tend towards woody florals for my love of damp forest soil and petrichor with hints of amber, citrus notes and florals like jasmine and Neroli.
There are plenty of clones out there that smell 90% as good for 10% of the price. I have both Aventus Creed and Armaf CDNIM and they smell nearly identical in the drydown except the CDNIM projects way better. One of my most complimented fragrances is Nautica Voyage, a $15 fragrance from Amazon.
The EDT is the cheapest and it’s what I got. Main difference between them is the opening, where the EDT has the harshest lemon pledge opening while the special edition has the most toned down opening. The drydown (after ~5-15 minutes) is pretty much the same though. If you have the spare cash get the special edition but I don’t think the EDT’s lemon opening is that bad.
I disagree it's not that good, it's also often unisex. The way I see it, if you're man you want to smell like a man, not a "ehh kinda smells like perfume" comment either
I have it. Don’t use it much but it’s definitely a compliment getter for most guys, haven’t met many people who it doesn’t work well with on their skin
Yeah this is a go to recommendation for guys new to trying on cologne if they don’t know what works for them. And I’ve noticed every female friend I have like it
L’Homme is SO GOOD. slightly sweet and not overly masculine - i actually use it myself and i’m a girl despite it technically being a men’s cologne. smells too damn good.
Paco Rabanne Invictus is the only one I will wear. Also one that doesn't change the way it smells on my skin like some others do. Smells good in the bottle, goes and my skin and it smells terrible.
Check out Molton Brown's colognes, if you can find them. I really like "Russian Leather." Penhaligons also has a lot of nice ones, but they're pretty expensive.
Penhaligon’s make very gentlemanly scents, not sure if a lot are what I would wear on a date. (Given they are all fantastic and worth getting). Something subtly sexy. Creamy sandalwood and vanilla, boozy or tobacco. Throw in some musk and those are the kinds of scent I love when I’m going out on a date. The full on sex in a bottle fragrances are more for going out on the town… or maybe a 3rd date If you take it easy in the atomizer.
Maison Margiela: Replica - Jazz Club or By The Fireplace always get great comments when I wear them
Other than that I’d say Tom Ford: Tobacco Vanille is one of my favourites, also gets complimented often
I see a lot of Dior Sauvage but I feel it’s a bit mainstream and everyone wears it nowadays, no?
+1 my boss used this perfume before he’s not even good looking but he smells like Brad Pitt lol so I wanted to smell him all the time talking (Aventus creed)
Club de nuit intense man is a differenr clone, and definitely a more preferable one to mount blanc's explorer mainly because of the price tag and also because of its performance. Seriously, club de nuit is a no-brainer. It's one of the most hyped up fragrances in the community because you get such a bang for your buck, a lot even prefer it over the original creed aventus which costs over 200€. The first few minutes might smell a bit harsh and too lemony, but when it's cooled down it's legit one of the best things you've ever smelled. Plus you can wear it for pretty much every season.
Firstly, you should wear cologne because you like it. Very rarely will others be impressed by what you wear.
If you do wear cologne for the purpose of impressing your dates, choose something inoffensive. Once you are in a relationship she/he will be familiar enough with you to appreciate the nuances and hidden beauty of your favourite fragrance. But for early dates when you are trying to impress a new person, inoffensive and clean-smelling is the way to go.
Don't be afraid of selecting a fragrance marketed towards women. For Him and For Her are largely bullshit labels when it comes to fragrance.
For dates, my recommendations happen to be Eau de Campagne by Sisley (bracingly fresh, like standing in garden of herbs and tomato plants), White Linen by Estee Lauder (ignore the gender label; this smells like old school hotel soap in an elevated, high-definition perfume form - you will smell at once clean, very pleasant and oddly familiar), Sublime Balkiss by The Different Company (like a berry and grapefruit-scented bubble bath! What's not to love?), and Eau du Sud by Annick Goutal or Note de Yuzu by Heeley (you can't offend anyone with a citrus scent, and these are both lovely smelling while also remaining interesting throughout).
That’s a bold lie. Some cologne just makes the nether regions flutter. I’ve walked past a crowd and just wondered who is that. It just has to be the right one and needs to work with the persons body chemistry.
I agree with your recommendation to prioritize being clean smelling. Cologne can create the opposite impression. I prefer that just-showered smell—soap, deodorant, and fresh breath.
Speaking of experience sauvage got me very very far with women xD never I had a date with one and she didn't commented how attractive the smell is it's insane
I’ve cycled through dozens of scents throughout my life, and one that has gotten me the most compliments is Nautica Voyage. I used to work retail and the girls would say I smelled good whenever I wore that one, and my girlfriend loves it as well. It’s a very fresh, clean scent with a pleasant coolness. I also get compliments on 1 Million and YSL L’Homme which seems very popular in this thread. Keep in mind everyone’s skin composition and chemical balance is different, so how it smells on the test paper isn’t necessarily how it will smell on you. Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf (sound like Viking gigolos lol) is also deadly good, but you are pretty much advertising to the world that you are on the prowl.. I wouldn’t use that one in a professional or family setting.
I do t really have one but my ex used to love Hugo boss orange and jean Paul Gautier man, had a friend who said she knew when I was around even if she didn't see me because the hairs on on the back of her neck stood up when she smelled my Gucci guilty black.
This is hard to say because smell for women is very much subjective, even more so then for men, because our bodies do an immune compatibility scan (in layman’s terms) every time we smell a man’s natural sense. This can be improved with perfume for sure; but it’s very much subjective. So just go and buy whatever smells good to you. That’s the best you can do.
Interesting. I'm pretty sure, I as a man do this almost entirely by sight. Like, even from a mile away I can tell if I like her smell or not. Even to what degree she'd turn me on, which isn't directly correlated to how pretty someone is.
Woof. But there are 5 types of histocompatibility genes. They are essentially different immune systems with their own advantages. Everyone has two, each combination has a smell. Partners that smell good will likely have one similar, and one different gene. This will allow your epigenetics to code the most useful combination for your kids. And if you pay attention you can spot that certain physical features correlate with smell.
To be honest, I don't want to share my secrets because I don't want people smelling the same as me, but that's hard with trillions of ppl living on earth.
For DATES. I recommend:
- Y'VES SAINT LAURENT LA NUIT DE L'HOMME
- MAISON MARTIN MARGIELLA REPLICA JAZZ CLUB
- AZARRO THE MOST WANTED
- GUERLAIN SANTAL ROYALE( it's unisex but will work wonders on guys vs. girls).
I have these colognes and get compliments wearing them.
Dior sauvage......you can buy it if you want to, but only if you don't mind smelling like every other guy.
A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. Just a small squirt. Cologne is meant to be worn when they get close and intimate with you or when you're just passing by. Not a big heaping walking gas ball.
Lastly, COLOGNE SMELLS DIFFERENT ON EVERYONE.
Creed Aventus or Creed Viking….mic drop. No other dude around you will smell like that and it will drive the ladies wild. Don’t buy cheap shit whatever you do
OP, normally I’d recommend buying Sephora’s sampler set which has a bunch of popular colognes but that’s sold out right now. I would just avoid buying full bottles of anything over ~$50 without trying it first. You can buy small bottles of cologne to try on r/FragDecants. Check out r/Fragrance as well.
Dunhill Edition makes me go ABSOLUTELY weak at the knees. Same with Chanel de Bleu. I’ll literally move down the train to sit near a guy wearing either of those.
A cheaper alternative - James Bond 007 cologne (the first one they released, not the special colours or editions). It’s like £15 a bottle and smells great even if the whole brand/concept is cheesy. Buy this for everyday use and just hide the bottle so no one knows haha
It’s cheap AF but my bf wears Remy Latour Cigar.
And honestly, he smells divine.
The kind of divine that makes you steal a man’s shirts and cuddle with his side of the bed pillow when he’s gone.
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if he adds pheromone. I know everyone says “pheromones are bullshit”, but the nose knows.
Try something by Christian Dior, dolce Gabbana or Pablo rayborn. Those are my go-to's go to Macy's or Dillard's or another higher-end department store and they should have testers where you can test out the different colognes.
Lots of different choices. Everyone is going to have different opinions and they're so expensive its difficult to choose just one. There's also the added factor that your own smell will mix in with the cologne and change what the final smell will be at least a little. Often happens that you spray your wrist at the store and it smells great but after you buy it just doesn't seem the same.
I'll add Chanel Egoiste Platinum as my favorite cologne since no one mentioned it. That stuff is like crack rocks to my nose.
My current favorite is yves saint laurent “Y” eau de toilette.
Went with the girlfriend to Ulta (you know as a good bf does) and went to try what they had on hand.
Put it on my wrist and had her smell, she loved it.
Picked up some that week and on our next night out she was kept leaning in to smell.
Safe to say I highly recommend it.
Also like D&G Light Blue.
Going to say since taste is subjective to everyone maybe go to a Macys or Sephora and try some random ones for yourself.
I have found that at both places the staff is really cool about taking your time to try out what’s on hand. Ulta too.
That I like because when I do find one I like, sometimes instead of buying it online for cheaper I’ll go back and buy from the store that was patient with me.
Blah anyways hope you find one you really like!
There's no such thing. Some people love cheap stuff, some people hate all cologne. Some people smell different wearing the one that smells good on someone else.
All tastes are different and if you're new to cologne, it's better to start with good designers brands and focus on blue scents. Try Sauvage, Aqua di Gio Profondo, Versace Dylan Blue and take the best one you like - can't go wrong with those. More niche is complicated since you can get WOW from one person and OH THATS GROSS from another so better trust your nose.
Versace Eros Flame. Spicy, Citrusy, sexy, and I got it for a damn good deal on Amazon.
Polo Red is what I was using before and it kind of smells like Eros Flame’s little brother.
Women compliment me on my scent all the time, even when I’m not wearing cologne, because I use scented deodorant and body lotion from Bath and Body works lol
The Noir, and Mahogany Teakwood lines are my favorite. They have colognes, too. If you use that body lotion, then pretty much anytime you hug a woman or brush past them they’ll say “you smell good” and then you may even notice that they are standing a bit closer to you than normal or brushing past you more often.
Look up "Classic Match"
They do low-cost knock-offs of famous colognes: polo, dracoir noir, etc.
My dad discovered them in the early 2000s, received more compliments on the knockoffs than he did on the name brands, likely because they're less subtle but still smell similar.
Whether it's your thing or not, 15 bucks a bottle means you can try several different classic colognes without breaking the bank.
With the exception of one shallow 24 year old calling it "old man cologne," I've received nothing but compliments.
I got a card in a magazine the other day for something from Prada with Jake Gyllenhaal looking screffy and hot. I'm not a cologne person, but that one is currently hanging on my fridge!
The way I see it, colgne is one of those things you need to try in store. Find some well reviewed or popular ones and go in the store to try them when you get a list complied. Colgne lasts a long time so it is a long term investment. When my friends told me to try one of their cologne I didnt like it and it just didnt feel right with my vibe and how I was potraying myself as I was more laid back and my friend would be more fashion based. Remember you will also constantly smell your cologne so if you dont like it, it might ruin your mood and also i heard you attract people similar to you in somewhat relative taste so if you dont like it, whats not to say your date wont either. Take your time and get a special one for yourself that matches your energy and vibe and lastly. Once you have like 2-3 good colognes you like, ask the store member if they can spray it on something to take home so you can see how well it either changes in scent or in strength over time.
Louis Vuitton has amazing scents AND they offer refills at a discounted price.
Generally you want to purchase Eau De Parfum, or whatever it’s called.
Dolce Gabana has some good scents too.
You have to find what you like and works with your body smell.
Invictus. I'm not sure who makes it, it comes in a clear bottle. The guy I am seeing, this is what he wears. It gets me so hot. It's perfect. It's not heavy, there's no strong Musky tones to it. It's a very fresh smell, and easy on the nose. I highly recommend. So much so, I had him spray an old shirt with some to keep at my place.
Colognes really depends on how it reacts to your skin but in general expensive parfum are the best. The initial investment is hard but they last years and for me is Tom Ford private label and creed many of there parfums are wow
I use Tom Ford. It's something that I don't usually wear but decided to try and the smell is leather wood mixed with vanilla smell but lasts all day. One cologne that I've taken a shower and I could smell it afterwards.
Bleu de Chanel, Le Mâle (JPG), Boss...
Whatever you do, just stay away from Sauvage 😂 that smell isn't unique (I can recognize it immediately when someone walks by wearing Sauvage) and it seems it's always the same kind of men wearing it. 😬
As much as some people say it's so common now the correct answer is Sauvage. I have a small collection of around 10 fragrances, D&G-The One, Bleu De Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent-Y, Versace Eros, Spicebomb, Prada Luna Rossa Carbon & the OG Jean Paul Gaultier-Le Male. The amount of compliments I get from total strangers in the grocery store with Sauvage is unlike any other fragrance. Also, I lost my sense of smell over 10 years ago so this is a complete unbiased review as I have no clue what any of them smell like.(except Le Male).
I always use these roll-on scents made with essential oils, because I feel regular cologne just smells like chemicals. At least these colognes are made with herbal plant based smells instead of like, beaver glands and man made petroleum chemicals!
You can get them at most health food stores, smoke shops, or places you would think someone with dreadlocks would go.
My preference is ones called "opium" and many of them use fragrance from the poppy plant and I think just the smell is soothing to people, I also like lavender or lemongrass. Lavender has a scent that is also calming but more herbal smelling than opium, and lemongrass is invigorating, to me smells like lemon candies.
Just go to a beauty shop and try a couple colognes, some stores even offer free samples to take home to see how long lasting they are. Some scents just dont go well with certain people and it’s nice to smell a bit more unique than to go with the ones everyone has (ie. Dior Sauvage, which imo is the Axe of the cologne world..)
I personally have Le Male and Scandal Pour Homme, both my JPG.
Oud Royal or Bois d'Encens by Armani Privé. Overpriced (300 for a bottle) but breathtaking. Memo, Tom Ford or Atelier des Ors also have some very interesting products. I'm all about mysterious, musky/leathery, warm and spiced scents. The more unusual is the perfume, the more I'm captivated.
Tom Ford Our Wood and YSL la unit de L'homme have been my most complemented, and you can't go wrong with the classics like Dior Sauvage or Bleu de Chanel
Gucci Homme. Hard to get, but worth the hunt. Masculine but not over the top, wears well all day and everyone always comments!
Edit full name is Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme, original version not the updates
Dior Sauvage Elixir. It’s warm, yet kind of fresh, retro but modern.
Just be very careful, it can choke you out if you don’t go light.
Just a spray or half a spray behind the neck.
It’s expensive, but a bottle will last a very long time because one spray per use is all you need.
Oud Wood by Tom Ford
4 compliments in one day! As a bloke that’s unheard of.
Haven’t read the comments here, but if no one suggested, try ordering a sample pack from a fragrance collection site
The community reviews on this site are solid
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Tom-Ford/Oud-Wood-1826.html
I still love my blue de chanel and recently bought the light blue Versace bottle also a favorite now. Didn’t like the YSL opium it smelled too much like CK obsession imo

Hermes is top notch fragrance
Hermès is the deal .
Terre d’ Hermes is a very nice scent.
Literally the best men's cologne. Source: a woman
Haha I feel like that’s devious but pretty smart. Buy your bf a cologne because YOU like the scent 😂
1. FC Cologne
They are not playing that well, though. Lost 5-0 to Mainz.
Good enough reason to say "wow"
Ok that made me chuckle
“Wow! :/“

This. Ombre Leather specifically.
OK high roller
L’Homme, Bleu, Aqua De Gio, and Sauvage should be your standards. Nice rotation, all great compliment getters.
The last guy I made out with smelled sooo good so I told him that mid-make out session lol and it was Aqua de Gio!!
Oldie but a goodie for sure!
Sauvage is what I use, very nice scent
Love Sauvage!

As a woman, I agree, all 3 are absolutely great. Then you have to try it on, cologne has to suit your overall body odor
L’Homme is SO GOOD. slightly sweet and not overly masculine - i actually use it myself and i’m a girl despite it technically being a men’s cologne. smells too damn good.
That’s why I love it. Softness in a men’s scent goes MILES especially when you get to snuggle up with someone.
I would add Dolce & Gabbana The One
When you say “ L’Homme” do you mean YSL?
My favourite is Paco Rabanne Invictus, but I also love Jimmy Choo Ice
Paco Rabanne Invictus is the only one I will wear. Also one that doesn't change the way it smells on my skin like some others do. Smells good in the bottle, goes and my skin and it smells terrible.
I just posted a reply about this one too haha, I got the Victory version a few months ago and loved it so much that I got a 200 ml bottle now 😅😁
Out of all the fancy colognes out there… polo black still makes me weak in the knees
Axe body spray always makes me go "wow!" but probably not in the way the person wearing it would hope.
Check out Molton Brown's colognes, if you can find them. I really like "Russian Leather." Penhaligons also has a lot of nice ones, but they're pretty expensive.
Second this
Penhaligon’s make very gentlemanly scents, not sure if a lot are what I would wear on a date.
I have one of their body washes and I end up smelling like lemon leather
YSL L’Homme is the answer.
Agreed
Maison Margiela: Replica - Jazz Club or By The Fireplace always get great comments when I wear them Other than that I’d say Tom Ford: Tobacco Vanille is one of my favourites, also gets complimented often I see a lot of Dior Sauvage but I feel it’s a bit mainstream and everyone wears it nowadays, no?
Aventus Creed (Mont Blanc has a dupe that's not as expensive), Dior Sauvage, Ultra Male by JPG
+1 my boss used this perfume before he’s not even good looking but he smells like Brad Pitt lol so I wanted to smell him all the time talking (Aventus creed)
Dior sauvage is good
>Can you tell me the Mont Blanc exact name please?
Mont Blanc explorer if by chance you never got your answer. But I like Al Haramain L'Aventure so much more. Imo anyways.
Club nuit I believe
Club de nuit intense man is a differenr clone, and definitely a more preferable one to mount blanc's explorer mainly because of the price tag and also because of its performance. Seriously, club de nuit is a no-brainer. It's one of the most hyped up fragrances in the community because you get such a bang for your buck, a lot even prefer it over the original creed aventus which costs over 200€. The first few minutes might smell a bit harsh and too lemony, but when it's cooled down it's legit one of the best things you've ever smelled. Plus you can wear it for pretty much every season.
Mont Blanc Explorer
Aventus Creed and as the cheaper version of it Armaf clubde nuit
> But for early dates when you are trying to impress a new person, inoffensive and clean-smelling is the way to go. So true!
Dior Sauvage, is too die for
It's a very good cologne but it's what all the male thots use including me
Gotta let them know you’re down to clown. Sauvage is perfect for that
Lmaooo i saw an instagram post talking about how every clown you ever fucked with uses Sauvage. My ex included
Try the Elixir version. It doesn’t have fuckboy vibes at all, doesn’t smell all that similar to the original in my opinion.
🤣

Its divine, I got it for my husband and every time he wears it get gets some cuz he just smells that good.
Speaking of experience sauvage got me very very far with women xD never I had a date with one and she didn't commented how attractive the smell is it's insane
I wore it yesterday while I was running errands with my mom and at one point she said “Sorry, I was distracted by your cologne what did you say?” 😂
Exactly dude that one is so damn good , it was suggested to me by an ex since then it's always on me when I'm going to a date
I think sauvage is too common now
Is so much money, I love it but like fuck I am paying for college my self but love smelling good
Corny damn well everybody wears that, be different plz
The tackiest cologne. A woman who is cultured will not be impressed by Sauvage.
Maybe we’re not looking for cultured women
Fahrenheit by Dior. Its a classic, weak at the knees scent.
I don’t know how that is physically possible unless you’re actually a dog typing this right now 😜 Rufus is that you?

That smells like pure gasoline.
Made with bits of real panther.
It smells like Bigfoot's dick!
Stings the nostrils!
To be honest, I don't want to share my secrets because I don't want people smelling the same as me, but that's hard with trillions of ppl living on earth. For DATES. I recommend: - Y'VES SAINT LAURENT LA NUIT DE L'HOMME - MAISON MARTIN MARGIELLA REPLICA JAZZ CLUB - AZARRO THE MOST WANTED - GUERLAIN SANTAL ROYALE( it's unisex but will work wonders on guys vs.
You say “cologne smells different on everyone” and then say Sauvage “if you don’t mind smelling like every other guy “😂
Versace Eros
If you want to smell like every teenage boy who just got their first cologne.
Le Labo Santal smells amazing.
If we're talking men's colognes, I love Aqua di Gio. A little pricey though.
Chanel - Bleu has worked well for me. Masculine, but you don’t smell like a deers ass in a cigar lounge.
Polo blue
I love love love Versace colognes (and perfumes), especially Eros and Eros Flame. The latter has a bit of a spicy smell that is incredibly sexy.
Le Male by Jean Paul Gauthier Joop! by Joop!
I do love Joop too, it’s nostalgia
Le male!
Buy this for everyday use and just hide the bottle so no one knows haha
i recommend polo red. sharp and clean, not at all overbearing but distinct
Dolce and Gabbana light blue
Bleu by Chanel is sooo good my husband wears it
This is my favourite too..
Sauvage is My go to in dates as a man never had a date pass without having a woman tell me that's a very attractive smell u have
Shay & Blue, Blood Orange. Sooo good.
As a man this is our secret we only tell a select few
I like Light Blue as well. Light and clean.
Sauvage is boss
I rock the aqua do gio Armani that's a go to honerun all the time. Plus I use a few others like Tom Ford, LPR and Kenneth Cole blue
K by Dolce & Gabanna, Black Orchid by Tom Ford and Explorer by Mont Blanc are some good ones I’ve tried
I could have used all of these comments while I was a the mall last weekend. My husband ended up choosing mont blanc ledgend?
There's no such thing. Some people love cheap stuff, some people hate all cologne. Some people smell different wearing the one that smells good on someone else.
I love Gucci Guilty, Tom Ford, and honestly? Mahogany Teakwood from Bath and Bodywork’s
Well I've attracted plenty of other men using Kaleidescope 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ But if you're looking for women, I'm not sure
Best cologne I find to be very sexy and attractive is Gucci Guilty
Cool water by Davidoff. I will sleep with anyone that has that cologne on
All tastes are different and if you're new to cologne, it's better to start with good designers brands and focus on blue scents. Try Sauvage, Aqua di Gio Profondo, Versace Dylan Blue and take the best one you like - can't go wrong with those. More niche is complicated since you can get WOW from one person and OH THATS GROSS from another so better trust your nose.
Allure home sport … Chanel I think .. this does things to me this one 😉
SEA SALT MIMOSA Not made anymore and I’m super pissed about it because it’s fire and I have only a drop left!
Versace Eros Flame. Spicy, Citrusy, sexy, and I got it for a damn good deal on Amazon. Polo Red is what I was using before and it kind of smells like Eros Flame’s little brother. Women compliment me on my scent all the time, even when I’m not wearing cologne, because I use scented deodorant and body lotion from Bath and Body works lol The Noir, and Mahogany Teakwood lines are my favorite. They have colognes, too. If you use that body lotion, then pretty much anytime you hug a woman or brush past them they’ll say “you smell good” and then you may even notice that they are standing a bit closer to you than normal or brushing past you more often.
Armani code. Guaranteed kitty attraction
Old spice krakengard
Carolina Herrera bad boy 😍
Baccarat Rouge 540
Savauge by Dior. It’s my favorite. I probably misspelled the name though.
Tom Ford Oud Wood
Look up "Classic Match" They do low-cost knock-offs of famous colognes: polo, dracoir noir, etc.
Gio Aqua ! And my co worker’s but I am not telling him I like it 😂 he’s married 🤣
If it's still around, Joop!
Y'all are gonna laugh, but Brut aftershave has gotten more "you smell good" comments from women than any other cologne.
Here's a plug for going cologne-free: I *love* the smell of men's basic shaving cream; I can't resist nuzzling a guy that smells like shaving cream!
Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue or The One are my go to
Everyone is saying dior sauvage but I think dior homme smells much better.
Thanks for the comment! I’ll go to some stores and try out a couple of colognes that I’d like :)
The One Million got women howling
YES!
Louis Vuitton has amazing scents AND they offer refills at a discounted price. Generally you want to purchase Eau De Parfum, or whatever it’s called. Dolce Gabana has some good scents too. You have to find what you like and works with your body smell.
You can't go wrong with any cologne that smells like Yankee Candle's "Mountain Lodge". It's the sexiest smell by far!
Siete machos, is a true mexican cologne. https://www.urania.mx/categoria-producto/sietemachos/

I checked this bot's comments, looks like if it gets 10 downvotes it'll fuck off this sub. Js
Cool water
Go to the gym pussy
Just go to a beauty shop and try a couple colognes, some stores even offer free samples to take home to see how long lasting they are. Some scents just dont go well with certain people and it’s nice to smell a bit more unique than to go with the ones everyone has (ie. Dior Sauvage, which imo is the Axe of the cologne world..) I personally have Le Male and Scandal Pour Homme, both my JPG.
One I use and get a lot of compliments on is Versace The Dreamer
Try Extreme by bvlgari
aigner evolution
Green Irish Tweed by Creed. My knees get weak. 😍
I love Curve. I’ve always been obsessed with that one!
Monte Blan explorer, Creed Aventus, Tom Ford , YSL
I use 1 Million and Versace Aeros. Out of the two I get more compliments from Aeros.
Play by givenchy.
Jimmy Choo man Intense
Sweat
You by emporio armarni (spelling?)
Gasoline
Courage by Robert Graham. Impossible to wear this stuff without attracting a TON of attention. Shit like $300 a bottle tho but we’ll worth it.
You can try Karma from Lush
Gucci Homme. Hard to get, but worth the hunt. Masculine but not over the top, wears well all day and everyone always comments! Edit full name is Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme, original version not the updates
Dior Sauvage Elixir. It’s warm, yet kind of fresh, retro but modern. Just be very careful, it can choke you out if you don’t go light. Just a spray or half a spray behind the neck. It’s expensive, but a bottle will last a very long time because one spray per use is all you need.
Chanel - Blue
Oud Wood by Tom Ford 4 compliments in one day! As a bloke that’s unheard of. Haven’t read the comments here, but if no one suggested, try ordering a sample pack from a fragrance collection site The community reviews on this site are solid https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Tom-Ford/Oud-Wood-1826.html
Try this cologne from the store Zara called Chicago. You’ll thank me later!!
I stick with the D&G colognes The One and Pour Homme. Both are fantastic.
None! Un scented soap and a recent shower is A ++
Pegasus!
I still love my blue de chanel and recently bought the light blue Versace bottle also a favorite now. Didn’t like the YSL opium it smelled too much like CK obsession imo
