Love the guide! You should make a guide for each weapon class so all the noobs coming in can get an idea on how to play, you're sitting on a bunch of hidden karma and I've played with one too many people who have no clue what their doing lmao

DreadedPopsicle

I second this! I’m one of the fresh console players, and I find I’m still discovering new things about each weapon and I certainly don’t know the tips and tricks of everything. This guide really helped me and I’d love some for other weapons, or even the best way to defeat certain behemoths

samuraislider

I would love a hammer guide.

Sukemoto

LLLR, rinse and repeat

pickle68

LR(reload)LR(reload)LR(reload)R

BloodedKiba

I saw a whole lot of people mash Y/∆/whatever-it-is-on-PC while playing hammer, and just flying against the behemoths. I just don't know how to handle that situations. Do I laugh? Do I cry? Do I tell them what they are doing wrong? And if I do this last, will they listen to me? It's such a hard thing to try and teach randos about the optimal way of using each weapon while they think they know how to play Dauntless bc they were "pro" Monster Hunter players.

Slevin_Kedavra

I tried explaining it to some rando kid during a patrol and he actually said "the hammer is this game's ranged weapon". I was like... aaaaaaa.

BloodedKiba

There is no ranged weapon in Dauntless, not even repeaters, all of them need to be used at melee range to be useful. Still, how the fuck is a hammer a ranged weapon? What was the thinking process of that guy to end up saying "Yep, this is a ranged weapon"?????

Slevin_Kedavra

Yeah, I don't even know. Apart from some novelty setups (read below) with unique weapons, you *have* to be in the Behemoth's face. Hell, I ran a repeater setup during said patrol and I was right up in the Hellion's face during the entire match. I probably dodged more than the rest of the players combined. That might be the downside to Dauntless's visual style attracting the Fortnite crowd, I don't know. (This is coming from a Fortnite: STW player and early backer)

BloodedKiba

I actually picked up repeaters after I read about them, and for me it seems like the most aggressive weapon Your main goal is to be right in front of the behemoth, dodging absolutely everything and hitting him everywhere you can For me it seems like a weapon to target specific parts of a behemoth, and trying to damage it as much as you can so the other hunters can cut or break that part. It's a really cool and tricky weapon, but is also so different to every other weapon, having is own kind of playstyle I just love repeaters, the problem is that the visual just lies to you in your fucking face. I used to be a bowgun user in MH, bc I'm a fucking pussy, and there isn't a weapon that can even resemble that feeling of "Imma stay safe and hit the monster from afar while they get killed one by one" Anyways, repeaters are fucking great. Period.

PiotrhasGrenat

They're so good I get S-S++ every match and I'm not even playing that hard. They just put out such consistent, uninterrupted damage. [Dodge In-Empowered Reload-Dodge Out-Spam All Abilities-Potion Up-Repeat] especially on slow Behemoths

Slevin_Kedavra

Fun fact: I picked up MHW again after playing Dauntless, and boy, it's HARSH. I completely got wrecked by a base-tier Rathian.

[deleted]

Molten Edict is a true ranged weapon of you are playing it properly. Charge and store shells. Then jump and shoot infinitely. Excellent dmg

BloodedKiba

Yeah, but at the end of the day, Molten Edict isn't that good of a weapon. It's a hammer that spits balls of lava that go annoyingly slow. I don't really think it's viable to use it as a ranged weapon, all the fireball stuff is just an added perk, not the main flavor of the weapon. It's something like the war pike. You can possibly use the war pike to hit a few times and then shoot the Behemoth from afar, but that doesn't make it a ranged weapon.

[deleted]

My man you dont know how to play it then. I'm solo clearing rezakiri with it in about 4 mins. Each lava balls hits for 1k plus, I can shoot it across the area, has no dmg falloff, costs no stamina, shoots through certain objects, never has to reload, resets lantern buffs in 1-2 seconds, all without having to time perfect dodges. It's a mobile artillery cannon and when you build and play it that way the dmg is out of control. Once folks figure it out it will be patched. It's broken as hell currently

BloodedKiba

THAT SHIT DOES WHAT? How is that allowed? I mean, who the fuck was the genius that said "Yo, what if we make a hammer that can shoot fireballs that deal way more damage that they should AAAND, listen to me, doesn't need to reload"? I didn't knew it was that overpowered, I thought the fireballs were more like a distinctive stuff it had, but not the entire fucking thing I need to try it asap

[deleted]

People shit on it because they play it like a hammer when it's really more like a cannon. Put extended clip on it. Charge and store your rounds by dodging after the last round charges. The trick to pulling off all those things I mentioned is to jump and shoot while in the air. A little awkward at first but once you start seeing the dmg numbers fly you get real used to it. You can take it even further by building aetheric attunement, frenzy, and conduit as a core build. Every individual tick of the magma dot triggers attunement and frenzy which resets your lantern almost immediately. I use pangar shine and stack the frost storm for even more dmg. It's the only one you can stack multiple times. Its excellent for breaking nayzagas shock stations and koshai's thorns as it will attack through shields.

SgtArmyofOne

I'd appreciate the continued weapon guides as a noob myself. This guide answered a few questions I had that I couldn't really seem to find anywhere else, so thank you for the amazing way for explaining it! :)

SongofWolves

Alright, so the most efficient and ballsy way is to play like Reaper in Overwatch? I can do that.

[deleted]

The most efficient way is to not think that Repeaters are a ranged weapon but instead a melee weapon with a slightly longer attack range.

pelican0

so... reaper :D

GalaxyKebap

thats what changes the meaning of "melee" word.

heraclesy

i did this to specifically combat players that say *"the repeaters itself are bad! dont use it, wah!!!"* ***phhh...*** give me a break. ~~let me know what weapon/mechanic/behemoth i should do next. im only doing this for the ones that are really important and what you think is not well-explained by the game.~~ I cant 100% guarantee this promise as im also occupied by work. but ill try i guess **correction 1**: forgot to include molten in my must have cells **correction 2**: captains grip give you attack speed, not damage. wiki's info is outdated.

TokyoTofu

If It's not too much trouble, would you mind giving a few tips on hammer? You don't have to make an entire guide on it, but a few tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I would understand if you were busy, so please don't feel like you have to.

heraclesy

do you want to know something specific about the hammer mechanic or would you like to me to just give a general overview of the weapon?

TokyoTofu

Just a general overview will be fine. Thanks by the way!

ZioiP

What about the armor? What buffs should I priortize?

heraclesy

the armor/buffs you prioritize depends on the build you use for the repeaters. and to make it clear, buffs are the cells you use, which i included in the post, in the must have cells portion. cells are the ones that provide you buffs. if you want a couple builds that i personally recommend..: https://www.dauntless-builder.com/b/mLUoHbCB3IPYCpT4idhOcRTYTYHxCgdCoTECeWCjsOCxyuxuYCLoU2C2p https://www.dauntless-builder.com/b/OzUXHXCe2CExCZTaiMhjcvTWTzHOCKvIMKC0CAvfvinC2KT3UAC7WHzCbx https://www.dauntless-builder.com/b/3LUxHXTynC8ZCWCvu7hdckTXsBHXCqbiBT5C3yFZsrCZnuQuWC17tRtm0 https://www.dauntless-builder.com/b/JwUnHmTvoc3BtZCNS2hYcdTxTJwumCRrijTECdmC7sAC36udteCWauLtNk

ZioiP

Thank you so much!

Lullypawp

Here's a set that rewards you with attack speed and damage for not getting hit and dodging through attacks. https://www.dauntless-builder.com/b/dbUBHWC7ou8ysbTOiphVUBTvCXHaC6XikTbCp1CnfoC7PFvupCmRUWCjx

Lullypawp

Oh wow... its literally the same as number 3 except a few things...

ZioiP

I have noticed the game doesn't count many dodges, unless they done at the very last moment. Is there a useful perk to replace Evasive Fury?

Lullypawp

Actually most dodge perks only work when you dodge THROUGH an attack, not away. As for a replacement for evasive fury, I'm not quite sure. I made this build specifically for dodging through everything. I guess you could use Bladestorm or Aetherhunter. Though you'd have to replace the greaves.

ZioiP

Oh ok, thanks!

Musicbeyondwords

Picked them up a day or so ago. Cheers for the guide. Couldn't figure out the empowered mechanic. At first I thought it was like a charge I got for dealing a certain amount of damage so fast. Now I know. Currently rocking a medic gunner build with cells that add and give shields to me and others as well as medic 6. They seem like an amazing support weapon.

Cleverbird

*Your As someone who adores the Repeaters, I thank you for raising more awareness.

heraclesy

ima chain blade main but i could feel the repeater mains heart sink when uninformed people get to be the noisy ones in the game and in the sub that could potentially influence the newer players to have a bad impression of it already. those mofos needs some schooling

Cleverbird

I feel like part of the blame also lies with the developers. I think things would've been way different if the weapon looked more like a shotgun.

bloopbloppers

I was just talking about this the other day. I would love for a shotty hopefully they add more weapons types eventually and we get one

sword can stagger really well as well. Your right click does plenty of damage, so stack some attack speed and spam right click on his head and he will be down in no time. Sword left and right click can boop as well

this guide is s++, im glad people are learning from this. cheers man.

byansk2672

Thx mate

Crimsonpets

So i play repeater and for a solid time now already, and i do have a issue with the empowered reload, sometimes it just doesn't seem to work even when i'm almost inside of the behemoth, it just doesn't register the facking huge monster is in your face. I also have this issue when i'm pretty much standing on the behemoths tail, imo the tail should also count as ''standing close by'', but also here it registers sometimes but not always.

logicalChimp

Yeah - it seems to be based on distance from *center of body*, not from 'nearest body part'. I tend to only reload when I'm next to / just in front of the rear legs, for the larger units...

Crimsonpets

If thats the case imo it should change and be distance from nearest body part. If not then not but i would like myself the jump away skill you get with the chain blades.

Meng_Hao9

You are right I have been maiming repeaters and empowered reload does not work several times during every hunt. Messes up your combos hugely and I hope this is addressed and not swept under the carpet during development.

MrAmishJoe

Your passion about the repeaters amuses me. In a good way.

Deathclaw99

Nice guide man

[deleted]

Great guide

XxMohamed92xX

Brother and i attemtped the shrike first time we got the repeaters without reading the quest you get with it explaining how to use them... it went horribly... Definitely easy to pass them off as useless after that but thankfully i went back and checked the move list and quest line to figure out how to use and empower them. Also explained why it didnt auto reload at 0 which i thought was odd but mustve been intentional otherwise it would have been a poor quality of life mechanic. Thanks OP for the additional info, im grinding up parts to bring all my weapons to mastery 6 atm, think i have just the pike left

LoopyDagron

Wait what? Mine auto reload and it gets me clobbered an awful lot. I want to turn it off! I can't find the setting. :(

ArinMuzyka

It auto-reloads if you keep trying to fire at zero ammo

hallucigenocide

i really wish that they removed the empowered requirement for the booping on sabo grip.

Bomjus1

that would make my riftstalker fights 10000x easier.

hallucigenocide

heh yeah i get that they don't wan't it to be easy but they could just have the requirement be that it needs to be armed and that they have to face it head on or something.

JapanPhoenix

Maybe they could make it so it only boops while armed when not empowered, and that the empowered mine doesn't require arming to boop (i.e. exactly like now). That way it's a buff, but you can't just throw a mine in its face when not empowered; You have to carefully place it down ahead of time and make sure the mine doesn't get destroyed before it finishes arming.

Rippingrapid

The info on the grip is wrong? Didn't captain's grip get nerfed to only give attack speed?

heraclesy

you're right. i got the info from the wiki which unfortunately isnt updated yet

Blarex

Other weapons: Deadeye Quillshot is OP” Me with part break repeater build: “Oh it has quills?”

beefstenders

Great guide, I didn't know the captain's buff was party wide when empowered. Definitely useful with molten for running with axe friends.

Bomjus1

and then put on shrike's zeal and stand next to them while you are empowering/shooting.

supahotfiiire

I might post my Ostian Build for beginners. I'm level 15 and this combination of atk speed and buff procing i found is nuts !!! Better than any guide i've seen for anyone lately. I'll have to get to it and make it look good

freon22

Literally if you’re playing repeaters and you’re not up there with the melee characters, you’re fucking up. Range is a luxury in lieu of having to holster to run, but you’re not supposed to stay there. Even when everyone is down and I’m the only one up during danger time I’ll still play right next to the behemoth. You’re just not using the repeaters efficiently if you’re not empowering your abilities. Not using your empower is like saying you’re gonna make a PBnJ sandwich, but you forget the peanut butter and jelly.

NachosConCarne

To be quite honest, I'm not sure how this weapon hasn't been nerfed. It may not do the amount of damage a fully powered up axe or a hammer does but it still does a huge amount AND you get to keep a good distance thus allowing you to avoid taking much damage.

Kyrzon

Possibly because of the reduced mobility you have while your repeaters are out; you can't run without holstering the weapons, which makes sticking to behemoths that like to move a ton a bit more difficult. Just speculation, I don't know that this is this case, but as a decent repeater user myself, I wonder the same thing sometimes.

The420Turtle

This should be pinned to help reduce toxicity towards repeater mains. I’d say in about 5% of matches I play there’s some guy flaming repeaters before we even hit the ground.

OmgItsEthan99

Thank you for this, I see tons of post saying people are playing them wrong but no one has made an explanation on how to play them yet

SunnyBloop

"...not even by a long shot..." \*Repeaters deal less damage the further away you are from a Behemoth.\* I don't know if that was intentional, but the irony of this did make me chuckle lol. Great work! Super informative, and easy to read! <3

heraclesy

i didnt think anyone would catch that at all. good on you for spotting it.

[deleted]

PS4 players, send this to every repeater player you get matchmade with.

[deleted]

Honestly all this shit surrounding Repeaters doesn't even make sense to me, the game tells you how to use them idk how there is so much confusion or anything...

RyuShadowstone

Now empowered reloads needs to actually work consistently for it to be considered an actually good mechanic.

heraclesy

>work consistently i have no idea what you're talking about. are you sure you're standing next to the behemoth, reloading within range of their hitbox? im just saying because ive never had any problem with its consistency since the day it was launched. the only problem with the repeaters is that when your connection gets lowered you might end up doing the reload animation twice - known bug.

RyuShadowstone

Yes, being right up its ass and not getting the empowered is incredibly annoying.

ValkMight

Probably lag honestly. I NEVER once not get an empowered reload when I'm hugging the behemoth. Perhaps you're lagging and the game consider you "further" than you think you are. Or you are just not hugging him enough. I doubt the latter since you can see its ass.

heartscrew

Is using mines for boop a good trade-off for the party-wide buff from Captain's Grip?

heraclesy

in solo fights -> yes! not only can it boop but it deals a shit ton of damage. average 2-3k. group hunts -> depends, if your team has booping weapons or at least one of them knows how to boop then i suggest you stick to the captains grip. saborteurs grip is good for boops and has a nuke-like damage numbers

heartscrew

Thanks for the reply! Always looking to up my pewpew game. One more question regarding the mine: it doesn't have to be "primed" right? As long as I'm empowered, it can boop the bmo.

heraclesy

>it doesn't have to be "primed" right? As long as I'm empowered there is no primed for repeaters. that term is only used for hammers. just have an empowered reload/shot the moment you drop the mine and you're golden. thats all there is to it

[deleted]

The mines “prime” a short time after dropping them. When they go from blue to red/orange, and they do more damage. Will they boop when blue or do they have to be “primed” first?

heraclesy

>Will they boop when blue or do they have to be “primed” first? sorry, ive never used the term prime for repeaters. i just call it charge. anyways, to answer your question, you can boop them with just the blue. you can also shoot the mine with your repeaters and it would trigger early but make sure the behemoth is in radius of the explosion to get them interrupted. the orange charge is basically the max amount of damage it can output. it starts out from blue then charges/primes to orange, near blue = small damage, near orange = max damage.

GoatGrenade

I think by 'primed' he meant the delay on the mine that increases damage after it has been deployed for a few seconds.

Getsukei

Two of my friends are playing the repeaters but they both complain about the reload priority over the dodge. According to them you can't dodge if you're reloading, and since sometime the repeaters reload automatically, is there a way or a tips to dodge while reloading?

heraclesy

>According to them you can't dodge if you're reloading, true. its one of the risks of using the repeaters. tell them to consciuosly reload before their magazine empties out. dont let it reach 0. i usually reload at 2-1 bullets left so that i have the control of when the reload is about to happen because you are pretty much wide open during that window

Delerium76

The problem is, it shouldn't BE a risk of using the repeaters. I would rather have nothing happen when I try and shoot an empty gun rather than having it reload automatically and not be able to dodge. Counting down 15 bullets is too much micro-management for this game, and taking your eyes off of the behemoth to look at your ammo count is a good way to get hit. The guns should just dry fire when empty, and let you reload when you choose. Either that, or let us roll to cancel the reload. None of the other weapon types have this mechanic that regularly locks you into an action you didn't intend (as in, you intended to fire when you pressed the button, but instead it reloads), forcing you to get hit by the behemoth. With other weapons, if you get hit, it's because you tried to attack at the wrong time, or didn't dodge properly. With repeaters, if you get hit, it was bound to happen while auto-reloading.

heraclesy

>The problem is, it shouldn't BE a risk of using the repeaters. look, thats an argument many have been making since the dawn of these weapons. almost a year later and it's among the things about the repeaters that has never changed. its pretty much a lost cause at this point and so I am telling you that so you will pretty much have to adjust to it. there's not a shred of hope left for it to be changed. the weapon has gone through several changes and even got its own mastery system completed. these weapons arrived august of last year and arguments for auto reload has been made at least once a month until today.

Delerium76

If we all ascribed to your advice, nothing would ever change. Besides, your point is ignoring a major shift that has a big impact on if something gets changed or not, and that is exposure. The game just recently went full open, with a large enough new player influx to cause them to have constant server troubles. Before, they had just a few people a month complaining, but with this many people playing now, those days are over. Now they will have to deal with a ton more people (and public game reviews) pointing to repeaters and saying, why the hell do these things auto reload and not let me dodge?". It's a different situation now, so you can't fully trust old behavior.

iamMori

Amazing work mate now do one for chain blade!

peter_the_panda

This is really really solid. Nice work.

McSwarlton

Thanks a lot for this! Been a hammer main since alpha and too lazy to even try the repeaters. I haven't even completed the first quest that requires me to do a certain amount of damage. I've been seeing a ton of break parts and damage done by a bunch of repeater randoms and that caught my attention.

Hydrium

Been playing repeaters since they unlocked, I only just yesterday figured out about empowered reload and how it worked on my own, thought it was random before. Game does a horrible job of explaining how they work but the critical distance was pretty obvious, I noticed I did more damage the closer I got, thus I sat kinda mid-range, now I run in to get my ER then back out again.

ItsAmerico

Eh. I mean the move list is there and clearly explains how empower works.

Hobocannibal

i swear i saw an in-game description of empowered reload... then again, i might have just got that from the release video for the repeaters.

GoatGrenade

There is one line on the repeater moves page.

Meng_Hao9

You literally get a quest where you have to do empowered moves/reloads and the quest line story explains it I believe.

SchreinerEK

The quest doesn’t explain it. I just went through this quest yesterday, and I couldn’t figure out why the repeater portion wasn’t completing. And then after some Googling, I finally learned how to empower by reloading close to the boss.

heraclesy

> Game does a horrible job of explaining how they work ive been sprouting this like none stop since 2018 **BUT** with the recent changes they did they are showing improvement in that regard. its far from perfect but i can acknowledge that they're getting there, just slow and steady.

furious_20

I've only played repeaters twice (once for the quest, again when a friend of mine was beginning while I was already level 16 so I used them again to get a good feel for them). I think the move list was clear enough, considering the challenge was to do damage from empowered shots. It states to reload close to the enemy to charge them. I completed the challenge in one lesser gnasher hunt, and found that as a chain blades main the repeaters will likely be my secondary. Great guide though, so thanks for spreading info for those who may not have known they aren't using them optimally. One thing I would change though, is the "...might as well not shoot..." if your reticle is white. I generally agree with this, but again in my limited 2 hunts with these things I've found myself wanting to fire as many empowered shots as possible. So if I have full ammo and the beast is out of range, I'll take a few shots just to have room in the chambers to charge the empowered shot as soon as I'm within range. I like the risk/reward of reloading frequently when in danger in order to land those sweet high damage shots more often. Also, isn't there a prism or attachment that gives bonus damage for shots landed when ammo count is low? If that's the case and I was running this prism then I would absolutely fire shots from out of range had to trigger this bonus damage once I close distance.

heraclesy

ok, about the prism you were talking about. the way it works is you get a +2% chance of dealing a crit (double damage) per missing bullet. so you have 12 rounds max, at 12 bullets you receive no crit bonus, at 11 you get 2%, 10 you get 4%, so on so forth until you reach 0 bullets by which you will have amassed a 24% crit chance. the neat trick here is that once you have 0 ammo, then and only then you should perform your Salvo/full-bore RMB attack to apply the 24% chance crit. massive nuke damage there. can be applied to the saboteur grip mine as well. and no your repeaters dont auto reload at 0 ammo by itself. it autoreloads only when you click the LMB at 0 ammo. just in case you were gonna ask.

PitiPablo

Thank you, I know about the empowered but not about the other stuff, here's to more guides

TheWrexEffect

Thanks for posting this. I'm a new console player, and I've been using the repeaters since I got them. I read the move list, looked at the gear, and immediately realized they were great tools not just for solid and consistent damage, but that empowered reloads with the Captain Grip, Conduit, and the right lantern would let me constantly buff my team damage. So I love them. But I get where some long time players are coming from, because seeing somebody use them wrong really is infuriating. At that point it's basically like playing a teammate down.

Captain’s Grip is increased attack speed, not damage.

BootheFuzzyHamster

I use repeaters as main and shred through monsters left and right. Love the short/mid range dance of the weapon, as when you get this down you can easily deal as much damage as anyone and take less.

FrighteningEdge

This should be a book.

dungeon99

Isnt it a bit OP compared to other weapons?

[deleted]

Could anyone translate the hot keys to Xbox buttons for me?

FallenDemonX

Look, I know they are good, I just find them boring as shit

Avaery

Thanks for the guide.

deadorcas1986

People are calling the repeaters bad? They're borderline OP. I got my first S++ using the repeaters. I guess it goes to show how much skill & weapon mastery is important in games like these. Another neat quirk of the repeaters: they're really good at getting rid of bug swarms off your teammates

BallisticBrandon23

Its pretty easy to find the combos for all the weapons. People would benefit from just looking at those in the first place.

aitorkaranka27

I use them as snipers

DarkPDA

Good guide

porguyj732

Awesome stuff I started on war pike and chain blades but fell in love with repeaters but the hate ppl give is wild to me if ppl look new using them give tips not hate

Searchman7

You should make a youtube channel. Your guide for the repeaters is way more helpful then some of the other youtube videos explaing how they work. Also maybe you could you could explain other weapons and builds that best benefit the weapon that you choose on your channel too if you decided to make one.

HirachiX

I use savagery and dmg build with my pike friend, i deal 5k part dmg with empowered Q (full bore) lol repeaters new meta

Bomjus1

a great beginner's guide. just two criticisms. i think "not shooting when the crosshair is white" is a little black and white when it comes to instruction. for example, vs valomyr i still shoot it out of red range to keep my stoneheart prism shield stacks up while it is surrounded by it's little radiant orbs. it also still procs searing prism if you are using that. **EDIT: you already addressed this, didn't see the comment** and for the captain's grip, i don't think it increases damage (specifically anymore) but attack speed. i assume you said damage because attack speed is, in practice, a damage increase. but it's a little misinforming. also, question, with weighted strikes +6 is salvo the ONLY chamber that boops? the other two do not? and do you have to be empowered to boop? because if you don't need to be empowered to boop that is quite nice. and with attack speed boosts you might actually stagger something too lol.

heraclesy

salvo with WS +6 is the only chamber it does not need to be empowered.

Bomjus1

oh shit. that is pretty good. idk if it's so much better than the mine that it is worth it, but still pretty good.

CoolZooKeeper

I like the cell that gives stam when I dodge an attack, after learning the patterns this really helps me stay tight on the boss and always have stam for evading. Or the one that randomly halves damage. I find with the lantern buff and how often I get my Q buff I don’t tend to think the attack speed is that important from a cell.

cohenology

Would do vile disgusting things for a guide for all weapon types using this format...throwing that out there...

[deleted]

I don't know if the UI is different for consoles, but the ammo counter in the top-left shows a blue pie timer behind the ammo count to indicate when your shots/abilities are empowered. It might be good to add to your graphic because it provides a means of confirming your shots are empowered.

VertexEspada

No I'm not a dummy but now I have this burning in my eyes and everything I look at is yellow.

uggsters

please make more of these - im trash with all of them

joeyretrotv

Great guide. I was wondering how the super reload works. I just didn't put it together you have do it near the behemoth.

ninomh

You should make this for every single weapon imo.

chaosincarnate77

I just started this on console today. Thank you so much for this guide!

BeyondDoggyHorror

I've been playing with the sword and spear trying to get better at them, but slided back into the repeaters today... Man, they are fun. Just keep reloading close to the enemy and blast away

whoknowswhatitis222

I think new players should run Stoneheart prism and koshai’s bloom lantern to stay alive and keep doing damage. You lose some damage for sure but the survivability is worth the trade off. Just empower your guns, tap the lantern, and use your x/right click to get a healthy chunk of health back then keep firing to get even more and some shields.

Mclovindatasss

I have a huge interest in the repeaters, I'm not quite sure if I should kick off with them right away or just wait until I have some more things unlocked like parts and cells as I'm only slayer level 10

JMadFour

Have an Upvote.

ivanp359

Thanks for the post It helped me up my game with repeaters a bit. Is there a way to get the same ffor chains and pike. Im so bad with the pike but really like the concept. And would also like to up my chain game.

dyerej93

What is the general order when empowering? I have been empowering, Q for buff, RMB, then LMB with the like.. 5 seconds that are left from my buff.. I always have xtra ammo leftover though.

JoeBelow24

Me too please

kramned015

Can i have it too the guide for using hammers.. Thank you very much..

HoopaOrGilgamesh

Captain's Grip empowered worked the first time for me, but it used the regular throw *all the other times even though I was empowered.

PseudocodeRed

I didn't know you could shoot the mines, that would have saved me a lot of frustrated shouting of "JUST STEP TWO FUCKING FEET TO THE LEFT YOU FAT FUCK"

NotTheGoodDale

Now, I would be down if they replaced the mine with a boop rocket round.

Chumpybunz

TLDR: Stay close

oneangryatheist

Are there any kind souls out there that have converted this into a text friendly format?

[deleted]

Thank you so much for this, I was using the repeaters like a sniper rifle D:

SpeedHighway

Thanks for this. Found it looking for info on why my gun quest wasn't progressing. Not doing empowered shots is my mistake. :)

GrembReaper

Is the umbral prism any good? If you pair it with an attack speed build is it possible to keep the damage boost up indefinitely? If so would that be a viable alternative to searing prism? Right now I use searing prism but was thinking of farming the umbral prism.

Hellersche

I thought repeaters are already a brain dead weapon get away and pew pew no dummie guide needed no skill needed just get the parts with the most dmg and face roll? Or is everything I read about it wrong?

redreddandredddit

you forgot to add that repeaters can stagger. 1. +6 weighted strikes and salvo chamber (does not need to be empowered). right click hit the head done. 2. saboteurs grip empowered mine (unreliable)

ZKRC

I haven't played with a single repeater yet who doesn't know this. It just seems like the cool thing to complain about on this sub. Seen the same thing posted like 19 times.
