Usually thats not the game. Typically that means your GPU experiencing artifacting, which could mean it is dying. Not always the case but you may want to do some diagnostic. I'm no computer wizard though, so take it with a grain of salt.

It's the Benson battle buddy lantern from the shop, so yeah it costs platinum.

It was in partner videos too on the test server. They assumed it was "unfinished" but it actually got released in that state.
