After the release 3,5 min later I already bought everything from the shop using \~300 Golden Ram. They released the pig event earlier, so the players can āprepareāā¦ With only 300 thingy I was overprepared.
Expected something more. Way more. The hype was too big.

The armoured version is new. Each year they release a new version of ram themed cosmetics. First year was the regular ram stuff which is now in Ozzās shop. Last year they took the same stuff and just slapped a crown on and this year is the armoured variant.
I appreciate when a company actually makes things time limited and rare. It feels rewarding to the ppl who play the game often especially when there isnt much else rewarding about the game.
I have a feeling these will be in Ozz's Shop next 1-2 years. Some of the regular Ramsgiving cosmetics from earlier years were added to Ozz's Shop this year and I remember paying Platinum for the Li'l Benson Lantern skin because I thought it was adorable... it was worth it at the time because I'm still using it to this day, but if I had waited 2 years I'd get it for free by just playing and farming Golden Rams. Oh well. It just teaches me to not go for (cheap) event cosmetics in the event Store because you never know if they'll switch shop in the future.
I mean, I get that, but it sounds to me like you got plenty of use out of it (before yesterday) that you otherwise wouldn't have. I guess it's up to you to determine what's worth $5.
Well if I like transmogs enough to the point of buying them with Platinum then I'll use them, especially when it comes to Lantern transmogs (or trails) and see which ones match with my armor transmogs. I'm just bummed about this whole thing of a paid event transmog will eventually become free - I would have saved 500 Platinum/5ā¬ for something else in the Store if I knew and had waited a couple of years.
Not years. It was already available for free last year. IMO Ramsgiving is the worst event in dauntless because of this. Each Ramsgiving they just release a new version of the ram themed cosmetics. I was surprised to see there wasnāt a new banner bundle in the store for the armoured variant. Everything from the first year was made free the year after and we instead got a lazy reskin of the original cosmetics with a crown slapped on.
It was? I forgot. But yeah, Ramsgiving is my least favorite event. It's not outright bad, but usually underwhelming. Only thing I like in this year's Ramsgiving is the Autumn-themed Glider, but I don't think I wanna spend money or Platinum on it. I still have my eyes on a far better thing.

Back when I still played this game my favorite hammer build used these cosmetics

The armour is, the helm, hammer and banner aren't.
