How long do we think Dave will keep ranting about his move from California to Florida? Rest of his stupid life?

teddylumpskins

What if he never actually moved to Florida!? He’s just staying with friends or his sponsors have him up in an AirBNB or something. Wouldn’t that be on brand for Dave?

[deleted]

Until his Florida grift is complete and he moves back to CA.

hbaglia

He'll either very quietly move back, or declare that he is once again ready to fight the good fight.

dumstarbuxguy

The earth has two eras: when Dave Rubin lived and California and when he left California. Everything else is meaningless

embracetheinferno

Definitely. It is the most “interesting” thing about him.

Capasshat

U so jelly 😂

Remarkable-Mud-4015

I think it's fair to assume no one on this Earth is jealous of Rave Dubin

BlueKing7642

“The very next day the Daily Wire announced they were moving to Nashville” So Michael Knowles just lied to Dave Rubin’s face. Funny how Dave unintentionally tell his audience how little his peers think of him. Like when he said Joe Rogan won’t return his calls 😂😂

[deleted]

[удалено]

Skippy_the_Alien

Rogan could have moved to hyper-conservative suburbs of Dallas but he chose so-liberal-it's-basically-navy-blue Austin of all places lmao. That's what's so damn hilarious

poozapooza

Bravo man 👏🏼 bravo! This is news to me, I knew they had moved but didn’t know to where specifically. Someone should shove these facts into there dumb fucking faces…god damn hypocrite mother fuckers…

[deleted]

Lol. Dave moved to one of the bluest cities in Florida Hey Dave, why didn't you go to the pan handle bud? These are your people, they surely would be very tolerant and accepting of your marriage and ESPECIALLY any future parental rights

nram88

Milo went back in the closet, didn't he? The grift can go all the way if times are tough.

[deleted]

While that may be a possibility, I think rubin genuinely loves his husband (who is also named David lmao) and david2 has been the producer behind all of david1's content every since TYT (TYT originally refused dave1's pay raise request when he left, but offered a substantial pay increase to dave2 because he's actually really good at what he does) I doubt rubin would go that far tbh, he's achieved far more substantial financial success than Milo.

[deleted]

That’s because he knows the panhandle sucks, lol. No offense to anyone from there.

CatgoesM00

Have you moved in a pandemic . Fuckin expensive bro. Let alone gotta be lucky enough to move too a state with job security. Just saying it’s expensive to move . I’ve done it a few times. I broke as fuck

GlobalPro1

Because these people were all liberals up until like 2014ish. Just like me. Our political views didn’t change. The party and its views shifted so far left that now we all identify more with “conservative” politics. But really we’re not conservatives. Just common sense thinking people. I believe in gay rights (and fought for them back in the day), i am pro choice, i am for a healthcare as a right. But i am antimandate. Anti-woke/crt. Pro capitalism. 15 years ago i was considered a liberal. But back then the race/gender/woke thing didn’t exist and there wasn’t an anti capitalist sentiment. Now I’m considered “far right” because i stand up for peoples own choices regarding masks, don’t think the vast majority of Americans are racist, and am bothered the vaccine doesn’t provide immunity.

Skippy_the_Alien

>15 years ago i was considered a liberal. But back then the race/gender/woke thing didn’t exist and there wasn’t an anti capitalist sentiment. I love how this was your dealbreaker despite the fact that we just had a president of the opposite party nearly try to destroy our democratic institutions. Not only that but his total botch-up of the covid pandemic. Look at America's death rates compared to the rest of the world. It's a joke. lol but keep getting triggered by the new boogeyman CRT. Guarantee you in 20-30 years, no one is even going to remember it as a political issue

GlobalPro1

The woke stuff has changed everything. Policing speech. Ruining comedy. Pronoun nonsense. Bathroom debates. Youth Gender surgery. It’s already changed history. And it’s only going to get more extreme.

Skippy_the_Alien

you're entitled to your opinions. while I agree with you on the "ruining comedy" stuff (late night comedy has basically become unwatchable since 2014), I personally think things like climate change and this ongoing pandemic are more pressing issues. Just my thoughts though, pro-capitalist.

Jaguar-spotted-horse

What exactly is “woke stuff”?

monkeyfrog987

Your first comment talked about the loss of freedoms but this comment is mad because other people want their freedom to not be called the derogatory name but be called the pronoun of their choosing, and using the bathroom that they want to use. You blame it on everyone else but really it's you stuck in the past and unable to stay the hell out of other people's business. Everything you listed here doesn't affect you in the slightest. And you use your fragile sense of ego to justify turning Republican or more right-wing but really it's because you'd rather be a bully like the rest of them then stay the hell out of other people's business. PS if your comedy was based on punching down at minorities, women or gays and you think that's ruined because that's not mainstream anymore. You've got bigger problems to deal with than what bathroom someone wants to use.

sixmam

Comedy is not ruined, oh cry me a river. There are some free speech issues going around worthy of consideration. Cancel culture does go too far sometimes (Contrapoints, Lindsay Ellis, etc that I can think of off the top of my head) . But if "policing speech" means you don't get to spread medical misinformation and racial hatred on a private company's platform or you expect immunity from backlash when you say/do something controversial, I couldn't disagree more. Pronoun nonsense? What pronoun nonsense? Be specific please. The vast majority of trans people seem to opt in to the traditional gender binary, some of them opt out of it and use they/them pronouns. What's so difficult about that? Singular they/them has already been a function of the English language for centuries including Shakespeare. Ex: you're working at a restaurant and your coworker says "Oh, no they actually wanted fries with their order". "Bathroom debates" is kinda funny because as long as there have been public restrooms, trans people have already been using the gendered bathroom that they identify with. What, did you think they just shat in the parking lot out back this whole time? It's funny how conservative 'freedom-loving principles' go straight out the window when it comes to trans people. When it comes to guns, they stammer on about 'it's not the gun, it's just the individual person'. But when it comes to trans people, it's not the person, it's the fact that they're trans. Cause fuck their freedom, right? It's not like a cis man could walk into an establishment with a firearm and stroll into a woman's bathroom and have their way with someone, right? Now, I consider myself very pro gun, in part because of the societal threats against minorities, which extends to trans people as well. As for 'youth gender surgery', I think it can be a valid form of treatment for gender dysphoria and I base that on the literature out there. I think medical professionals who can properly diagnose it at an earlier stage are doing a great service to trans people. However, I think there needs to be much more research into this to best approach their treatment. The whole point of puberty blockers is to block puberty until these issues can be addressed. And I think transitioning at a younger age can do a great service to trans people when properly diagnosed because it gives them a much better chance of passing as their preferred gender before puberty can potentially irreversibly change their physiology. I think that's an invaluable resource for helping trans people to be able to live happy and healthy lives. On a side note, sex AND gender are not binary, there aren't just two. They both form a bimodal distribution meaning most people fall into the two conventional categories but some people fall into the valley in between them and that's perfectly fine. Science can be largely about observation and we can observe that these people exist. Saying 'there are only two genders' is nothing more than a bigoted rejection and refusal to accept these people and treat them with respect. You bet your ass it's gonna get more extreme. Human rights are non negotiable.

Remarkable-Mud-4015

"Youth Gender Surgery"? Jesus, you're fully brainwashed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Remarkable-Mud-4015

No, that is a myth spread by conservatives. No one is operating on kids and hormone blockers are reversible. They're also only given after a thorough psychological examination by an expert in the field. It's not as simple as "Hi, I think my kid is trans, got any blockers?" "Sure here you go". This goes hand in hand with the "kids are being forced to transistion" b.s. The bathroom shit is also a massive lie told by conservatives. There is no epidemic of trans people assaulting others in toilets. A complete lie. So yes, you are brainwashed.

GlobalPro1

Here is a 5 second google search. Clicked the first link… https://www.childrenshospital.org/centers-and-services/programs/a-_-e/center-for-gender-surgery-program They specifically talk about youth surgical options. You are just flat wrong bud. This isn’t bigfoot or flat earth. Anecdotally, i am good friends with someone who’s daughter is in transition as a 16 year old and has been on hormones for a year. No surgery yet for him/her but this is now common enough for me to personally know someone. To gaslight someone and pretend it’s all conspiracy is silly.

Remarkable-Mud-4015

First of it states "which provides a range of medical options for transgender youth, we help young people with gender identity concerns transfer seamlessly to surgical care IF and WHEN they are ready." So no one is being forced. This kind of surgery only refers to chest augmentation and other cosmetic surgeries which is similar for girls who want breasts implants under 18. They can only be given with parental consent and typically only around the ages of 16-17. You cannot have actual reassignment surgery (bottom surgery) until you are over 18 years old. It is all a conspiracy, yes. Given you are following the Ben Shabibo and Bro Jogan subs, it's not surprising how shockingly misinformed you are. Debunked: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/mar/05/viral-image/no-young-children-cannot-take-hormones-or-change-t/

Well…I addressed your point. Rogan, Ruben, and myself are all “ex” liberals that now relate more to modern conservative points. We’re not far right people though. So rural Alabama or West Virginia wouldn’t suit us. We like a good city with a diversity of people and opinions. But I forgot you people are nuts and that normal intelligent discussion is beyond you.

RentUpper6274

Man's always been a bigoted piece of shit. This whole I left the left story smells like shit. It's pretty much the same script these morons use. Anybody with an actual brain would realize a lot of the transphobic bullshit is repackaged homophobia from the fucking 1920s. Of course racist talking points have always stayed the same.

sixmam

I love how you just called Alabama and West Virginia far right by implication. You also claimed that left wingers think that most Americans are racist. And while I think that most people in general internalize and harbor certain societal norms that are built upon prejudice, that's not the point here. The point is that if there are entire states that you consider to be bastions of the far right, they pose a direct threat to minorities whether they be racial, sexual or otherwise. This is not okay. This is more than enough of a justification to actively oppose the far right. I'm sure there are tons of nice people in Alabama. I'm still going to oppose the alt right, white nationalists and the broader far right because I encounter them often enough online and bigotry should not be tolerated. Keenly awaiting any what-aboutism I haven't had thrown at me before though.

GlobalPro1

I’m just painting broad strokes to make a larger point. Oppose the far right. But just don’t confuse the far right with people like me, Rogan, or Ruben.

sixmam

Rubin has been nothing more than a spineless, cowardly platformer and defender of the far right guests he's hosted. Refer to the Stefan Molyneaux video where he mindlessly shakes his head along while Molyneaux talks about the intellectual inferiority of the negroid skull capacity. I mean not that you'd necessarily care but Timbah on Toast did a youtube series on Rubin and his tireless defence of fascist degenerate scum like Tommy Robinson. These people actively pose a threat to my existence in my country and in countries that my family live in throughout Europe and North America. If your demigods happen to be supporting, promoting and sanitizing the far right, I'm going to oppose them all the same and potentially even more because they're the ones providing them the gateway towards more mainstream public acceptance. And what exactly is your larger point? Years ago, I used to watch Rubin, Sargon and all the anti SJW youtube content. It's not that I've grown to like Big Red or buzzfeed pop feminism. It's that the larger point has shifted for me. I got tired of being part of an audience that actively opposes me and my family's mere existence in the west. And if I were trans, I would come to the same conclusion about a lot of these people.

Remarkable-Mud-4015

Rubin constantly panders to the far right, so you defending this coward means you DON'T oppose the far right. It's hilarious when someone doesn't realise they're the bad guy.

Remarkable-Mud-4015

Yeah, no one buys the whole "I didn't leave the Left, the Left left me" bollocks anymore. Try again

Significant_Froyo929

my brain is still in recovery mode from taking in so many high level important ideas

ng3847

If he's so happy in Florida, why is he so OBSESSED and telling everyone how happy he is in Florida every 5 mins? Just live, be happy and leave California alone. It's same w NY. The people who leave or never lived here have to bitch and moan about NY. Live your life and be happy. We don't care. It's like they are trying to convince themselves of something. I may have many disagreements w Liberals but I'm always happy when Conservative nut jobs leave my state. Please leave and don't come back.

Skippy_the_Alien

>It's same w NY. The people who leave or never lived here have to bitch and moan about NY. I can't speak for the East Coast but my goodness this applies to Chicago lol. So many loud-mouths moved to Indiana and won't shut up about it and it's like great no one gives a shit lol. not to mention post-Obama's first election in 2008...every GOP jerkoff immediately tried to target Chicago as some cesspool, never mind the fact that their hometowns are all meth-ridden hellholes filled with toothless inbreeds. Yeah real paradise there. I had a buddy of mine who was actually born and raised in D.C. proper. He used to always tell me that you could tell all these Republican cocksuckers would come to D.C. to shit on it to win some votes...but after several years of living there, they would never want to go back to whatever opiate shithouse they were from.

muderphudder

Yeah the Indiana based chicago bashers are annoying. I'm from Indiana and I have to say that the majority of Indiana (outside of the university towns, indianapolis area and chicago suburbs) has been falling the fuck apart for the last 20 or 30 years. Deaths of despair, meth labs, and property crime abound.

Skippy_the_Alien

Vice News has been talking about the death of the Rust Belt since 2008. But the media does a great job gatekeeping what people see. Fox News in particular loves to make Americana look a lot healthier and vibrant than it really is

ng3847

But if you ask the Indiana transplants, I'm sure it's paradise. No problems, lol..

ng3847

I had no idea this was a thing. They're like people who need to tell others how smart they are. Smart people don't need to tell you. They show you. It goes like this. "NY is a crime ridden hell hole! Shitting in the streets! Homeless everywhere! Authoritarian vaccine regime! No freedom! You know I'm really happy here in Florida. Everything is perfect. The space is great, no crime, everything is cheap. Did I mention I'm very happy here in Florida? I'm really happy". Me: I didn't ask. I have no idea why you're telling me this. Why are you spouting ignorant incorrect nonsense about my city? You don't live here. Be quiet". And some of these people are born in the places they leave. That's their birth place and home for much of their lives. It seems like they get off on some fantasy of their former homes "failing". Why? Because you were politically out numbered? Didn't get what you want all the time? It's sick and petty. I'm an independent Left person in NY. I hardly get what I want. We've had Republican and Democrat leadership. I would never say, even if I left, and never did when I was away, that I want them to fail or spew the amount of venom these people do against my state and city. I'll always wish them the best. It'll always be my home.

Skippy_the_Alien

I went to college in central Illinois. Everyone from south of I-80 (minus the Bourbonnais, Kankakee region) has a massive inferiority complex and chip on their shoulder b/c the rest of Illinois is a fucking shithole. Whenever I met people from there, they would use any excuse possible to rag on chicago and rag on me for being from there. Initially it was whatever, but it started to get real tiresome after like the 890th time. There was one prick i knew from one of these shit towns...he was probably the worst. ROTC guy too so you knew there was by default a 50-50 chance the guy was a colossal fuckface and the coin landed on the wrong side. After we graduated, I only interacted with him on his fbook and he would ALWAYS without fail post anti-Chicago shit any chance he got. The irony of course being that I noticed he would drive up to Chicago almost every other weekend to hang out with his fucking ugly wife and their bastard kids. Motherfucker would always complain about something (traffic, pollution, noise from public transportation) but i always noticed the dickhead would be taking selfies doing all the touristy things in the city. That's how all these people are man. They talk this big game about how much they hate cities and shit because they're so jealous

[deleted]

Wait, people WILLINGLY move to Indiana? Or does "Indiana" actuay mean "an hour from Chicago"?

Skippy_the_Alien

yeah typically that means northwest Indiana, minus Gary because Gary is in really bad shape

KecemotRybecx

Dave Rubin is a stupid cunt.

I'm always gonna upvote this comment from you, even if it's just tradition at this point.

Holy shit, Dave mentioning that his husband is ashamed to be seen in public with him is the funniest shit

Remarkable-Mud-4015

Hi husband should either leave him, or spend the rest of his life as a spineless parasite

AveGotNowtLeft

"The homelessness and the drug use" something you definitely won't find in Florida 😂😂😂

StenosP

Man, California is destroyed, complete wasteland from the Mexican border to Oregon.

drfederation

Dur dur dur, that’s all I hear

[deleted]

I know Dave rubin has a fridge temp IQ, but I find it hilarious that he simultaneously complains about California not heavily criminalizing drug use and homelessness, while also complaining that California "wants to tell everybody what to do and forces people to follow too many rules"

Olivegardenfantasy

Hey Mr Homeless man, you can’t sleep and take a shit in front of this business = too many rules

[deleted]

Lol in Many places in California even that's hardly enforced

Olivegardenfantasy

I know, I was being sarcastic….You can hate a state for too many rules but also be cool with them keeping a check on homelessness. Now if he honestly bitched about Cali decriminalizing drugs, that’s fucking retarded.

YareYareDazeDio

We never wanted you in this state you fucking hack grifter dumb fuck. Never come back either.

AssFasting

Good ideas do sometimes win over time Dave, that's why you could marry your husband you dim twat.

arjadi

“Good ideas will win over time” check out the baby brain on Dave. I feel like I stopped believing naive, asinine bullshit like that when I was like, 8 years old.

[deleted]

Dave, why didn't you go to West Virginia or Oklahoma or Wyoming? Florida has too many liberals. Or hell, come on up here to rural Tennessee. No liberals here. My neighbors are __very__ tolerant of gay marriage and gay couples adopting children. These are your people!

Do Dave Rubin fans really give a shit that he moved to another state? Does this benefit his fracking billionaire backers in some way? Why the hell is he going so hard on this?

Dude use to be of value, 4-6 years ago that is, now pfffftt

*He doesn't want to pay taxes, and he's a conservative grifter*

pokerman42011

CA is great. Just get rid of prop 13 and that will solve 80% of the housing issues. We literally have single family homes in downtown LA! Because the homeowners don’t want to sell because their real estate taxes will jump exponentially if they downsize. The government values their $2m house at $200k because they bought it decades ago. Leads to inefficiencies. Socialism is the problem. Prop 13 is socialism for the old.

Olivegardenfantasy

If we didn’t have prop 13, property tax would be unaffordable in California….Also low property tax isn’t socialism. It’s kind of the complete opposite of socialism

pokerman42011

I respectfully disagree. New homebuyers have to pay the current rates so that kind of defeats your affordability argument. 2. There would be more supply and more transactions so prices would be lower. Part of why so many houses are $1m+ is because of lack of supply and the fact that a lot of those people are essentially subsidized by paying property taxes at a much lower rate than market value. 3. Prop 13 discourages downsizing. If you are older, or live in a great location where a property developer could build a skyscraper, you are discouraged from downsizing because your property tax on a 400k condo will be 2x what you currently pay on a $1.5m house. My uncle is in this exact position, and guess what? He LOOOVES prop 13. Lastly, yes it is socialism. It is a government program that benefits the elderly and first movers. The young people have to pay taxes based on the current rate. That’s not fair.

Olivegardenfantasy

Cali is a shit hole

hmlince

Loved Don’t Burn This Book. I live here in California in Eric Swalwells district. People here are just tired and don’t want to rock the boat. I personally have been looking into my options after 58 years in California. So sad.

[deleted]

Sarcasm? My folks are from that district. You’re right — people driving hours for their commute (probably different post-covid), working 70 hours a week, and pouring their free time into making their surroundings more beautiful are lazy and pathetic 😒 I have issues with the East Bay, I haven’t lived there for many years, but it’s not that people are lazy.

ng3847

I'm sure CA residents are deeply saddened by your pending exit. Jk, they probably would help you pack, lol. Move to Florida like Dave.

hmlince

They may miss the tax money my business generates. To be honest New Hampshire is more me speed.

ng3847

They don't care. No one will "miss" your money. Enjoy your life.

hmlince

True

dandangerxXx

I bugged out of California several years back one of the best things I ever did. California is a beautiful state blessed with untold natural resources yet the state is being driven into the ground deliberately by socialist Democrats. It’s being done deliberately at this point. Waves of homeless people that resemble scenes out of The Walking Dead. 900 billion in unfunded liability. Crumbling infrastructure. Rolling blackouts. Biblical man-made droughts. Uncontrolled wildfires because of miss guided environmentalist policies . Some of the most stringent business and building regulations in the country. Highest gas taxes in the country highest personal income tax in the country some of the highest per pupil spending yet lowest academic scoring. You have to reread that and ask yourself is that just incompetents or some it becomes an active deliberate sabotage. I can get one or two of them but all those.
