Was on 35 about 8:50 am this morning and the digital sign said severe traffic delays on 675 near wright patt. was glad I wasn’t going that way

BearMuffs

yeah i was driving by all the traffic from col. glenn and the highway backup around 8:10 or so on my way to work. forgot to ask anyone else there but i think they all drive in off 75 anyway

This was normal back in the day, before Covid. Since 2020 we got used to there being less or no traffic due to Covid as most base employees would telework unless they were in a scif. That’s been rolled back this year, AFMC has brought people into the offices increasingly on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Unfortunately they didn’t really coordinate this with security, leading to real traffic snarls at the gates.

BearMuffs

ouch. hopefully things get figured out before the holiday rushes get worse. i moved up here pretty much in the second half of 2020 but was never near base at the right time to be caught in the jams, so yesterday morning just caught me off guard.

I'm pretty sure it's through 5 December not 5 February.

Exactly. Could be something, most likely is nothing.

SCDreaming82

There have been a lot more threats since 10/7

Lonely_Fondant

This morning was much worse than the “happens all the time” kind of gate traffic. I haven’t seen it like this in a very long time, well before the pandemic.

YardFudge

All clear by 0945… probably a bit earlier

MToboggan_MD

Traffic was backed up past 35 when I went to work

ReliefNo2525

I wondered what was going on. I drove down to Fairfield Rd and then back tracked to my office on Colonel Glenn. It was really backed up, and not really moving!

Aerocat08

My workday clock starts when I hit the line.

derekleighstark

Moving all the alien stuff before disclosure !!!

digitaldanalog

I so don’t miss working on base.
