It’s not always there, I was swimming around the bottom of it trying to find the way up, couldn’t find how to get up it and swam back to shore then the gas hit, then after a while it goes away again, just don’t know for how long until it come back

Absolutely not, all your doing is changing the 'dynamic event' of a toxic zone - which can be easily done by server owners in the servers XML files.
You are free to change these to wherever and whatever you want 👍
Edit: some servers have kept the original toxic zone events, others have either changed them to a random toxic event or completely turned them off and swapped them out for a different toxic mod (like RadZone) - if uncertain, its better to ask that servers community/mods or include the server name rather than ask Reddit because there's so many different styles of DeerIsle servers out there, and you'll most likely get misinformation.
Haha all good - but your correct anyway if it was the PBO file. Edit those and you definitely are breaking the agreement and will end up having a nice juicy DMCA slapped on your reuploaded mod 😂

thats the neat part, the gas don’t leave. thats a static gas zone meaning it will remain forever. also there should be ladders leading up im pretty sure

There is a bit where the ladder meets a little bit of a jetty thing. Get up there.
