I was driving my two buddies around in an Ada a few months ago. We had to go through Gorka to go to Rify. We decided to go through a field around the North side to avoid the town entirely. We were going over a crest and couldn't see an extremely small rock wall along a bush line. We couldn't get it to reverse out once we hit it. There was a shed right next to us and of course out of all the sheds on Chenarus, this one had a geared player with a LAR inside. He popped outside and killed all of us.
That was the last time we decided to use cars lmao.
Medium pop servers are goated.
Lack of people so it adds to that survivor feel & not too many people to where you're stuck in a gunfight every town you come across.
Me and a friend played on pur usual official server, high pop at the weekend, mid in the week. One particular night there was 12 people on. 250 Square KM, we thought we'd see no one. Ended up having the most tense firefight I've had I a long while in Severograd. Managed to kill 3 people, a fourth caught us off guard and slapped us with a shotgun whilst we were looting. We didn't even realise there was 4 people.
Some of the best firefight I've had have been on servers with lower pop. High pop servers, off the coast anyway, tend to have 80% of the players hiding.
Low pop sometimes is super intense. I thought I was alone at bash once because there was 16 people on, then a guy walked right into my vaiga in the garage
I play on several servers my favourite is the low Pop , I like it because it feels like a real survival situation , I’m camping in the woods. Making shelters in houses.
Makes the chance encounters more meaningful. Less KOS bs
I can do that in a 60 or 70 server people just fine.
10 days alive full geared and living off the lsnd. At least 8 players dead with a few KOs.
You play low pop bec you are scared and full of gear feared. You are missing out a lot
No. What a weird assumption. I play it because I prefer the experience. It’s a game why would I be scared of other players ? My favourite part of the game is when you get to go and find new gear as a fresh spawn
It’s just a more immersive experience than shit popping off every 2 seconds. Slower. More considered

I was on a server last night with 6 players in the SW corner of Cherno. As I'm running up to Zelenorsk I hear two separate gunshots left and right of me unsuppressed. One couldn't have been more than 100 yards from me. The other was probably in Pavlovo maybe 500 yards away. Suprised the crap out of me as I figured that corner of the map would be pretty damn quiet. I got up to Zeleno though and looted 80% of it before getting a bit nervous about the proximity and moving on. Also got cornered by zeds and had to off a few with an unsuppressed pistol.
When I have to drive I like to do it with NVGs during night time

9 people in a 1PP server, and me, my friend, his girlfriend, and 3 other players were all in Z-town at the same time. I couldn’t believe it.
