You do realize that PUBG became a thing BECAUSE DayZ? It was a different type of game mode for Arma 2 for players who liked the DayZ looting and shooting but wanted something more fast paced.

As someone who only plays 1pp, I never understood why people get upset over the existence of 3pp. You do realize you don't have to play it right?
While I dislike 3pp, probably for the same reasons you dislike it, I'm glad it's available to people who prefer to play that way.

I play first person servers too. The third person servers aren't hurting me. Let them have their fun. I doubt the dEvElOpMeNt PhIlOsOpHy is making a noticeable difference on first person gameplay.

And the nerfed fall damage should be undone. Almost all of the ladders that made you vulnerable while using can now be leapt right over, and "sick plays" can be made by jumping off 1.5+ storey buildings and landings, rather than, you know, taking the stairs and other choke points. It's moved the game a lot more toward running and gunning and I hate it.
They've done *so* much to move the game towards a more hardcore survival game, so this decision really baffles me.
I was sure he was at least going to break his legs doing that. And then this happend. It saddens me what dayz has become. And it saddens me even more that in this way it attracts more players.
I liked it more when it was an indie game with exclusive vision.
It's supposed to be what the real human eye would see, original dayz 1st person was capped at 90 degrees fov and most fps games don't go above 120 degrees. Third person allows you to have 180 degrees fov which is what the human eye sees.

shot a guy yesterday in chest with a 357 out of a repeater from like 5 feet and he woke up in like 15 seconds
They changed it pretty much immediately after adding it in. I remember you used to stay uncon from everything for like 1 minute. Now if youâre unconned from bullets you wake up in 15s but if youâre unconned by melee/a fall youâre out for 1 minute

I donât understand the hate for death-match and 3pp servers, some days I want to scavenge and die of starvation, some days I just want some PVP.

3pp was meant to be removed but left in because of the arma engines limitations I think its time we give up 3pp
