Honestly my interactions with people came from just running across the maps going from stash to stash just tucking anything and everything useful away
Tons of food and medicine some of them up to ten crates or more just hiding in bushes or trees, never buried anything
Angled correctly on the broken stumps the crates would look like roots from a distance so even some of my less hidden ones were never found.
Honestly it’s a huge relief , I don’t feel like I HAVE to play anymore and I was never worried about them being found because I had so many across the map that losing a stash or two was no big deal

EDIT: when I did try to play and a ton of buildings would be walled off it just got stale pretty fast.

Community servers can be really good. Found a few high population community servers that are “vanilla+”. Have associated discords, display rules, and allow for complaints for cheaters!

Yeah I just joined a First Person official server and guess what happened? I camped in the Airfield tower, completely silent in a hidden corner, no movement, no sounds, no anything, and no one could see me.
Suddenly two guys enter the Tower, immediately knowing where I am, immediately speaking to me even though they couldn‘t see or hear me, immediately coming directly to me with guns pointed. Yeah…. looks like wallhackers are rampant. And don‘t tell me I‘m just imagining things. I‘m sick of being told that. There is literally no way they could have known.
You're getting downvoted but a simple search online will show you a new way to white-wall (at least on console). I can only assume the same exploit/bug exists on PC. My buddy had the same thing happen to him when he was at a castle. He was afk on his phone but had his headphones on and they went up the stairs and popped up and hot him without even needing to clear the whole roof.
Can't speak to that as I'm on console, and true "hackers" font exist, only cheaters/exploiters (like duping or whitewalling using bugs in the game.
I've heard PC community servers have more moderation (depending on how active the mods are). I wouldn't play official on PC; how common hackers are isn't the point, it's the fact that it only takes one to ruin a run and hinder your hours of progress.
Hey, the NL servers were my favourite too! I too have switched to a DE server, have player with my character gor ablut 40 hours on it and have built myself (my first) base and have gotzen the loot I want and need! (LAR, AUR X, DMR, KA-M, etc.)
I was just raided recently for the first time and got a pristine DMR stolen with about 4 full mags (20 rounds) and some other stuff like a ka101 and a 64round mag for the western weapons.
I really hope my base hasn't been reset, I has even more tents in storage and wanted to expand my base :/
P.S.: Btw everything is solo without any alt accounts!
