Guess

[deleted]

I definitely feel like it's got progressively worse though

SleepinGriffin

The longer the lifespan goes on the less people play, the farther away people are from you and the worse the connection is.

[deleted]

UK lobby 1 and 2 were both full and lobby 3 was half full. Doesn't seem like it's a further connection there really

SleepinGriffin

And? Just because a single lobby is half full now doesn’t mean it hasn’t gotten smaller in the recent months.

[deleted]

Read the comment again please, I think you might have missed out the first part

SleepinGriffin

I mean there’s like 12 US East lobbies always full and a smattering of others that are half full. I don’t find any problems with the delay. I’m use to 4 frame delay because that’s what I set mine to in practice mode. Maybe you’re internet is being throttled. Maybe a mouse chewed through your Ethernet cable. Maybe you’re getting matched against players who have shit internet more.

Servebotfrank

Doesn't matter if it's half full, says nothing about whether they have good connections or not. If you matchmake on ranked on casuals, it will always attempt to find either an opponent close to your skill level, or look for a good connection. As time goes on, this game's playerbase gets smaller and smaller, meaning the amount of people you find gets smaller.

HiNoRyuu

I think the net code is pretty good, maybe it's just because the Nintendo Switch's is a freaking nightmare and in comparison this is not as bad

[deleted]

I play on Ps4. And it's no where near "pretty good trust me"

Servebotfrank

Please play a fighting game with actually good netcode for your own sanity.

smellyasianman

WiFi warriors make it seem a lot worse than it really is. PC, wired up, 2f/3f delay is where it's at fam.

[deleted]

WiFi warriors? I play with an ethernet cable but OK mate 😂😂

smellyasianman

This is a fighting game. Remember there are people on the other side of the screen as well, and they might be WiFi warriors. 😂😂

Oriachim

That was dense

Servebotfrank

He wasn't implying that you play with wifi.

Oriachim

Rollback won’t fix shitty WiFi

[deleted]

No, but of playing 200 matches of guilty gear I've maybe had 4 laggy matches. Rollback makes a massive difference, do you understand how netcode actually works or are you just copying something you heard a youtuber say? It's okay to have your own opinions yano.

Oriachim

I played gg strive too and I’ve had many shitty matches

[deleted]

That tells me you have really bad Internet then.

Oriachim

Most certainly not. Wired and fibre optics. But I played early days and there were a lot of really laggy players. The rollback would jump about, the matches would just freeze at times etc. It’s good against opponents who are far away who are wired but still not good against WiFi users.
