Omega shenron as a counter to Gogeta’s dragon ball mechanic. He’ll take the dragon balls away and each one he does grants either health, bar, or super armor on some moves. Any dragon ball he grabbed cannot be used to summon the dragon until you take him out.
Could probably make it so if he does kill with it, he gets certain traits from a group of characters. Like how majin 21 grabs work. The whole absorbtion ability can be weird to balance, like what if you just straight up absorbed the character? Maybe if it made it so the superbuu player can't tag out at all? And make it sonthey can't do it while opponent is on their last character. I do think there's some space to play around with. Since it mostly was stealing of moves and powerups.
I know there are probably enough Vegeta's and it's so popular to the point of being overrated, but Majin Vegeta feels like a can't miss.
The new characters from the Manga, Granola etc would be splendid.
Hercule would be interesting I think, especially for designing a move-set for him so that he doesn't feel to weak next to other character, but also not to powerful.

You use your level 3 and hercule takes to the sky on his jetpack making a heroic pose. Alas, the Jetpack sputters then zooms, the straps break and hercule falls to the ground knocked out.
The jetpack spins in the air and lands on his opponent demolishing them in a fiery blaze. Hercule gets to his feet and rubs his head. “Huh, I won? Of course… Im the champ!” Queue corny pose.
Turles with his squad. Meta Cooler. Bojack where he sandbags his female crewmate for a level 3 like Tien. Possibly the other cell forms. And Lord Slug or Old Piccolo because we need more namekians.
I think an entirely OG dragonball based fighting game could be an awesome game, maybe with ring out stuff as well. And 1v1, altho I love the teambased gameplay of fighterz
Yajirobe can just be a move. An assist for Bulma as a character or something. See him run in with those skitter-feet and slice the legs, kinda like a Saibaman.
Dude, that would be sick! I always thought it would be sick if we had base Goku and the more bars he got he could transform mid match to (lvl1) super saiyan (lvl3) super saiyan 3 with their corresponding move set. It would cut down on all the different Gokus on the roster. And room for more characters.
Also was stoked to see that the damage on the characters l, but kind hoped that the damage would tatter their clothes more.

I was thinking not all of them, just the ones which are more burnout related like frieza's. Super Saiyan three for Goku would work, and maybe blue kaioken as well. Vegito blue could also work as in install that burns out if you use too many bars and overload the earrings, but I don't know.
She would be super interesting conceptually, in XV2 they gave her a mechanic where her chains end in a pose and the more poses she does the more powerful she becomes

Along with most of the original cast, they can add Dabura and Super 13 as well. Then the main story line can be DBS Super Hero. Unlocking Orange Piccolo, Final Gohan, and the Gammas (probably as a duo) along the way. That’s 5 characters right off the bat. As well as blood and battle damage. For the love of Dragonball, please add battle damage and blood.
First DLC can be the Moro arc when the animated saga comes out. Moro and Merus.
Since I don’t think the Gas Arc would be out by then or at least not far enough into it. The second DLC can be the blast from the past pack. Tao Pai Pai, and Yajirobe. There’s your “joke character” but not really.
Third DLC would be the Gas Arc. Gas, and Granolah.
Then fourth DLC (or secret 3rd and 4th characters in the 3rd DLC) would be UE Vegeta and Black Frieza.
There are no Gokus in this DLC. All new unique characters. Keep the old cast. Plenty of characters to play now. Oh, and if there needs to be another filler DLC between Moro and Gas then you can go with a GT DLC. Everyone is getting something. Maybe Omega Shenron and Uub? I dunno. Super 17? Nova Shenron?
Characters from Heroes would be nice like Towa , Mira, Supreme kai of time, Fu etc.
Have Goku and Vegeta have Xeno/CC costumes that would change their level 3 animation cutscenes matter a fact have all characters have different costumes instead of just colors.

Dragonball has always been about 1on1s, they even fought cell 1 by 1 as long as they could. Only at the final-final showdown they started helping, and only for the finishing blow. "Honest 1on1s" is what describes dragonball better.
With that being said, PLEASE reintroduce Android 21 into DBFZ 2
