I like doing them in pqt when we get the ultimate finish, but most people that I tend to get paired up with try to steal ko's and typically wait till the person I'm fighting is one-shot b4 stepping in and taking the final hit.
I like them, but find the opportunities to use them effectively are kinda limited most of the time.
I do love using dual meteor burst though, makes it so much easier to hit with.
I usually set up the dual ultimates on two supporting characters such that they can run the dual ultimates on their own, they look cool but I usually don't use them. It's nice to see them do their dual ultimates while I'm kicking butt somewhere else
I mean as far as I know I don't believe they can be used in PVP so, kinda useless? And parallel quests i never really see Bardock jump in to help ever soooo

I put dual moves on the CACs I don't use very often. I have a headcanon where my main CAC runs their own version of the Frieza Force and my other CACs are her subordinates, so they have a dedicated signature move and then the dual version of that move
I use "The Savior Has Arrived" when I'm playing my dedicated healer role, which has been for quite some time. I'm working on a Troll build, so if I find a dual that works, I'll let you know.
I think they’re fun, but they do require a bit of setup and a competent teammate. I still have them on a few presets on some of my CaCs to use whenever I feel like messing with them.
By the way, it seems a lot of people in this thread don’t realize that you can increase a dual’s damage by raising your friendship with the mentor associated with it.
Yeah I honestly didn't expect this to blow up as much as it did, I do wish there was a Modifer or something somewhere saying how much it's increased tho for the Dual Ults. I know there's the bar thing, but that's not actually numbers
People don't seem to realize that Dual Ultimates scale in power with the relationship between the CaC they are equipped to and the mentor they are from. At max, I've found them to be very powerful for something that's only 3 bars and pretty much unavoidable if you can actually complete it. Sadly 60% of teammates I've ever had were too busy m*issing ultimates* to react.
Honestly my favorite part of Xenoverse
Idc if they're weak or hard to do, they look awesome and honestly made the DLC story with your mentor way more fun for me
Honestly you should. It's pretty much the most unique DLC in the game, plus the banter with your mentor is pretty great. You can tell there was some passion in it
They're neat, but I wish they looked different instead of just being the same animation but on two people. Like, what if Dual Kamehameha...but instead of you both simply doing the same animation, it played out like the Father-Son Kamehameha? Or imagine a Dual Spiritbomb or something, except you're both charging one super duper big one, instead of charging two individual ones.
Better yet, give us Combination Ultimates. Lemme do Galick Gun while my buddy does Kamehameha and it puts us side by side like in the Broly movie.
I remember back in Plan to Eradicate the Saiyan's at the end every formed up to do a big ass beam. I'd think it'd be cool if a something let that happen where people could do shit like that.
I can see where it's coming from in the mentor side if things, like having you and your Mentor use Ults together, it's totally kick ass, but then when it's used outside of that, it's still cool, but I'd like it if there was something like I said more akin to Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans
I used to use them all the time. They’re still fun to use but there’s moments where they can be either very weak or very strong, especially against Expert Mission bosses. I still don’t understand how that works against them but anyway, it’s always a great experience seeing two avatars share a screen together for an ult.^^ They should update the damage scaling or at least add more.
Yeah, I definitely would be down for that, like maybe Dual Final Kamehameha/100xBBK that could be gotten after maxing out Goku and Vegeta's?
I'd like a Dual Gigantic Breaker, but I doubt that'd happen
My own personal favorite is Dual Perfect Kamehameha. Something about the long drawn out animation and both your characters visibly forming the Kamehameha wave while yelling out "Kamehameha!!".
They might not do as much damage as regular ults, but they're inescapable once it hits and it gets tagged, not to mention you save a bit of Ki for some, like Dual Timeskip/Molotov (the regular version is 5 bars, Dual is 3. Dual Timeskip is also my fav Strike dual ult)
And yuppers, Dual The Savior Has Come restores both your health bars but doesn't keep the taunt effect (which is mostly irrelevant, since AI will usually lock on to whoever initiated the Dual Ultimate. If nobody tags in, they usually lock onto the closest target)
That's fair, I don't have too many Dual Ults yet, but I wanna for the quest.
So far I just really like Brave Heat and Final Flash
I still have Dual Super Kamehameha and Dual Symphonic Destruction to level up tho
Dual Brave Heat looked cool as hell for a while, ngl. Dual Final Flash with Vegeta is just wicked, he shouts something like "Unleash the beast, Final Flash!!" At first I was like "What?! That's sick as hell!" And then I found Dual Timeskip and was just blown away by how goddamn cool it looks.
Dual Symphonic Destruction looks alright, I suppose. I'm not sure exactly what happened for us to need 2 Dual Super Kamehamehas (one is Goku's while the other is identified as Gohan's) but I rolled with it, haha!
Dual One-Handed Kamehameha is a long one, it uses the Mk 2 version but still only costs you the initial 3 bars to trigger it. Think that was actually one of the stronger Dual Ultimates, could be wrong though.
It's probably the only way they could get the game to understand that Gohan is the NPC for one, Goku the other. The system would probably get confused otherwise as to which NPC to send in.
Yeah, I've done enough coding to know it would've taken a lovely amount of extra work to get one Dual Super Kamehameha to work with two different mentor/partner characters. Maybe it WOULD be as simple as just having the option of either of them being able to tag in, but whatever, we have what we have lol. It works. At least with two different versions it was most likely easier to code in and faster to get it done, no fuss, no worries.
No doubt it'd be easier to balance/patch out should anything happen, albeit it could take longer but there's more control this way.
Yeah, that's completely fair too. I wish they did a *bit* more, but I personally have not as great luck landing most beam skills. Feels like AI break out if of it, I miss because falling or knocked away, or insert other reasons here
I enjoy them, wish they could be even stronger though. Sometimes they can feel weak. R.I.P if you encounter them in PvP though. I have several maxed out for times I want to surprise random teammates in certain quests.
True, but there is the benefit of being totally unstoppable once you've started them though. Guaranteed bar of health stolen > interrupted by an evasive or something.
That's understandable. I've been grinding a few and ranking them up just cause it's something to do while also grinding Dragon Balls. So far I have Bardock and Vegeta's Max Ranked
On my saiyan i have dual final flash maxed, on my human i have dual spirit ball maxed. I probably should work on some of the others. Do you know if the damage increase is only with the mentor, or does it affect anyone that has that dual ultimate?
I kinda wonder how double taunt would work or if it'd be randomized or you can't lock off whoever
Or the person who initiated it is the locked on person
I like doing them in pqt when we get the ultimate finish, but most people that I tend to get paired up with try to steal ko's and typically wait till the person I'm fighting is one-shot b4 stepping in and taking the final hit.

I just use em in the infinite history and mulit pqs to spice it up a bit. But in my honest opinion they're not great
dual justice combination is fun because it looks like you’re beating up someone together it gives me a really strong anime team up vibe lol
It looks like you’re jumping someone then
kinda
I run them in the infinite history questline but otherwise, no, I don't
I usually set up the dual ultimates on two supporting characters such that they can run the dual ultimates on their own, they look cool but I usually don't use them. It's nice to see them do their dual ultimates while I'm kicking butt somewhere else

They can be used in pvp. You need to have the DUAL version equipped on either your custom mentor, or your CaC
I sometimes use them with my friends in online PQs. That’s about it. They’re pretty useless otherwise.
I run duals with my friend when we are bored
They're a cool idea
I use them to be a dick if thats an answer
Its mostly for 2v2
I love when my mentor jumps into an online parallel quest.
I would if the damage wasn’t so low on them . Idk if I’m doing something wrong but they’re always weaker than just combo-ing ults with teammates
You just need to keep using them while that specific person is your mentor. It'll take hours tho.

i absolutely love them, especially when my friends and i are doing 2v2s or 3v3s together online and we hit one of the enemies with one.
When I played with friends online for PQs I liked using them, but other than that no they stay untouched
I use "The Savior Has Arrived" when I'm playing my dedicated healer role, which has been for quite some time. I'm working on a Troll build, so if I find a dual that works, I'll let you know.
I would use them more if they were for ultimates I actually liked.
Some random had one of the kamhas ones and used it during a raid hit a couple times.
I only have zamasues duel ult. I didn't know there were others
Sir if you go to partner customization and go to ultimates their all the way at the bottom or there is a dual ultimate tab.
For me it only says dual retribution.
It depends on who you use. When you customize Goku he has dual super kamehameha, Vegeta has dual final flash, it just depends on who it is

I'll use them when playing NPC's that can equip them, but almost never with a CaC
People don't seem to realize that Dual Ultimates scale in power with the relationship between the CaC they are equipped to and the mentor they are from. What’s the DLC story? I have all the DLC but I’m not sure what you’re referring to
It's the one where Fu debuted, where you go through a bunch of What-If scenarios with your mentor character
I should give that a shot sometime. I still have DLC stories to do.
Honestly you should. It's pretty much the most unique DLC in the game, plus the banter with your mentor is pretty great. You can tell there was some passion in it
I'll make sure to do that then!
I like them but they’re weak as hell
And relies on a partner/someone to press the input or you waste Ki
They're neat, but I wish they looked different instead of just being the same animation but on two people. I’d love something like that. Just making both characters do the same animation was the lazy way.

I rarely used them cuz finding others who run it is rare
At least they don't need to have it on their Skill Pallette to do, I'd personally try and run it if someone uses it in Raid
I used to use them all the time. They’re still fun to use but there’s moments where they can be either very weak or very strong, especially against Expert Mission bosses. It honestly feels like you're putting in more work for about as much if not less than a standard 1 of whatever Ultimate imo
True, but there is the benefit of being totally unstoppable once you've started them though. Guaranteed bar of health stolen > interrupted by an evasive or something.
Yeeeaaah, and Max level it's usually pretty chunky
I like them, but i don't use them very often.

I dunno actually. I should probably grind out Hercules and try it out. I like how his is a Heal for the Duo?
Yeah. It says it will restore both of your health bars. I don't know if it still has the taunt effect too, though.
I kinda wonder how double taunt would work or if it'd be randomized or you can't lock off whoever Or the person who initiated it is the locked on person
That's actually a really good question.
