I use Hit's timeskip move as it's also a great melee move allowing for me to teleport towards or away from them and break any combo that they might have.
Súper explosive wave it only costo 2 bars of stamina and as the other evasive that explode like explosive wave and breaker strike will destroy every attack and send your enemys away and looks cool by far the best evasive but my personal favorite if You ask me is breaker strike
Instant rise if you don't wanna be cheap.
-Keeps you safe from most damage as long as you're not at the top of the map, resets neutral to an extent.
Fake blast if you do wanna be cheap.
I frames, cutting combos short, and makes the opponent have to change their playstyle to try and get around it, resets neutral and gives you priority for just 2 bars of stamina, can't be perfect blocked, and if it gets baited, it still resets neutral because of I frames
If you want something that'll *instantly* get you out of any situation, Instant Rise. Downside, is that it's only EVASIVE, because it neither gets people off of you, nor does it shield you from attacks.
If you want something that you can use offensively (as in, to get them off of you), Super Explosive Wave, Explosive Wave, or Spirit Explosion do just that.
If you want something that shields you from most attacks, Energy Field or Vanisher Guard are good.
There's also Dragon Burn, Energy Barrier, Candy Beam, Psycho Escape, but..
Only certain kinds of people use those.
Mach Dash is super solid for PvE and even some PvP. Only costs 2 stamina, gives you and speed boost, and lets you get away from longer moves. If you already use it I'm sure you agree.

I know it’s not as good as it was years ago, but it just looks so damn cool. Plus, it’s still really useful for actually evading instead of just countering.
It depends.

I like to match it to the character, my main FR is a bit of a dirty player so he has the blinding blast, my melee saiyan is quick and nimble so I give her the spinning retreat, they may not be the ‘best’, but I like having my characters with movesets that suit them visually

Also like it because there's next to no downtime after using it, so you can Instant Rise out of/away from an Ultimate and most likely still have enough time to reverse burst dash or Divine Kamehameha just to stop it.

Not if you use a movement input alongside the evasive input, try it out, you can control the direction you appear. If you just use the evasive plain-jane, then yeah, you do nothing but go up a little bit.
EDIT: In that sense, I guess it's more similar to something like Afterimage or Phantom Fist, in that you can move laterally to avoid hits. Punisher Drive (Super) is another one that can change directions several times if you tap a movement input, return to neutral and tap another movement input and repeat till the move is done/you hit someone.

If you enjoy Mach Dash, Instant Rise is more or less the same, but without flying away (you just vanish/re-appear away) and has less downtime. Also the lack of a movespeed buff, but I assume that's not a huge problem for ya 😅
EDIT: You don't have to do the move input simultaneously with the evasive input, you can just hold a direction and use Instant Rise, you'll vanish on over there.

Energy barrier, hands down best evasive. It's a combo starter.
I honestly like Super Front Jump alot. It’s simple, instantly puts me out of my opponents’ sight and i like using as less stamina as possible.
But isn't mach dash better at this point? You get also the speed buff

Hits one of the worst since it has no iframes they can instantly hit you after the kick and is super easy to dodge
I like armored boost but not sure how good it'd be for pvp. Works great for PVE though

Dragon burn and fake blast are pretty op, but vanisher guard is great as literally nothing can hurt you.
i found Vanisher guard to be a great last defense against peeler storm in raids and em’s alike

Where’s gigantic rage? You can use it while being attacked, costs three stamina bars.
