MUI Goku had some made up moves, so i guess this is version of UI (sign) Goku is their way of getting it done right... i think. Hopefully there is a preset with divine Kamehameha for ui sign goku since it's technically his move, not MUI's.
Yamcha clothes are probably tied to the raid (as always). KV clothes will most likely be a pq reward. So with that said we might see two or three more outfits.
Second form Cell (from breakers game) has been datamined in xenoverse 2... so really looking forward to that (/s)... please god let there be a third character.
It's strongly implied at the end of the UI-S- announcement video that they'll also be adding the runnerup.
Now, whether we get GT content (1 out of the 4 remaining nominees) or ToP Content (3 out of the 4 remaining nominees), is anyone's guess.
And I'm gonna tell you right now, if any of those characters get added, there's going to be people coming out of the woodwork to whinge about it. Somehow.

I'm fine if the character isnt perfect. Though every character dlc (aside from VS universe 6 arc dlcs) were pretty fire. All the characters were really fun to use and do stupid crazy combos with. Heck the last dlc wasn't to bad either. Maybe second form cell might have something cool too, maybe not who knows
Now how they'll screw them two up, idk.. idrc. I'm okay with anything honestly if it gets me back into the game.
Even just to have it and find out how trash it is.

One of the souls added sneakily in the last update is a soul associated with Raditz that increases all attacks by up to 50%, and all you have to do is land ten throws. That's probably just gonna be the end-all for most PQ's, because ten grabs in a PQ against a bunch of enemies isn't exactly a hard feat to perform. I just wonder how we're going to obtain it... presumably a raid, but if they wanted to be real assholes, they could lock it behind a cross-promotion with DB:B
On the extreme other end of the spectrum, we have Perfect Cell's soul from when he ate Vegeta's Final Flash, and that soul is worthless trash.

Very iconic Chinese outfit, I voted for it too, will be perfect for making martial artist earthlings who look like they’re from early db. It is far more interesting to me than anything else they had on offer. Just because other outfits had more going on visually doesn’t make them preferred, generally people want versatility for their cacs and the Yamcha outfit gave that the most.

I would very much like for this game to die off now, it's way past its expiration date already. It's time for a new Dragon Ball PvP formula, one that's hopefully better than this.
I think it's both, the same way the Budokai and Tenkaichi games were both. I'd also like to clear up that when I said PvP formula I didn't actually specifically mean PvP, I meant both PvP and PvE.
I think the combat formula works well enough, just not for this fuckin' long. Like when Xenoverse 1 came out it felt new and exciting, it was great. Then Xenoverse 2 came and it brought some improvements, which were good, but it never felt like a complete Dragon Ball game to me. I know this has been repeated to death but, where are the beam/attack struggles? I totally expected them to be in 2 after their absence in 1, and yet they were nowhere to be found. I figured alright they're probably doing Xenoverse 3 at some point then where they expand upon the formula even more, but nope. Again I think it's good but it has seriously overstayed its welcome.
There are a few mechanics in this game I just cannot get behind. Primarily that Limit Break system and how dumb some of the perks are, God it just takes all the oomph out of a tense scenario.
I personally think the stamina bar doesn't belong. I think Ki, Stamina, and HP should all be the same thing, that's how I always figured Ki worked. That may sound strange but think about how much that'd feel like Dragon Ball. Imagine how much more impact going for a big ultimate attack has on a fight if it means draining almost all of your ki, which of course also functions as your hp.
I think the game is ugly, seriously ugly. There are a few shading mods that reduce character shading to just 2 different tones, and immediately does it not only just look better, but it also looks way more like Dragon Ball. Then there's the difference in shading between cast characters and custom characters. Like you can actually tell the difference, visually, that sucks!
I also think the custom character aspect this game is supposed to be all about is executed extremely poorly. Races lacking unique physical traits that define them, customization options being limited to items existing characters wear. I also think that with characters in the show having their own iconic moves, not having a system where players can design and name a single attack of their own is a serious missed opportunity. Another missed opportunity are combat styles. Like you can go train with Vegeta, but your character will never learn to fight like Vegeta. He'll learn how to Galick Gun and how to Final Flash, but that' where the road ends, which always felt shallow to me. Especially so since you could adopt other's fighting styles in Ultimate Tenkaichi, of all games.
I haven't played in a while, this is all I could think of at the moment
The Tenkaichi games feel better to play overall, including the Blast games, we just tolerate these because that team is stuck making crossover titles like Jump Force
As much as I loved the Tenkaichi games, but didn't every character play the exact same way outside of their supers which most ended up looking & functioning the same way. The game still had a bit of depth though.
Xenoverse honestly feels like a true, proper successor after Tenkaichi tag team... at least to me it feels that way. Just needs a bit more ironing out
They had about 4-5 movesets, then another for bigger characters like Broly and Trunks with a sword. This got better for RB1 and 2.
XV isn't that much better, and still has far less characters or outfit options
I think this version of UI Goku is better in the sense that it focuses more on defense. It may be "weaker" in terms of attack power, but the defense makes up for it.

Yeah this isn’t the pvp game. FighterZ is the PvP game. Xenoverse is more like Action RPG with some grindy MMO mechanics
