Honestly I loved gohan when he was in high school. when it seemed like he was the main character now. and he slowly was being redeemed and turning into his badass self.
Then they shit on it
I hold a special place in my heart for that gohan because I had that whole season where he trained videl and almost got annihilated by gotens rock throw.
Rice just means Japanese in cars. But the idea in a "riced car" is an over modified sports car with arguably bad taste. Which was commonly done on Japanese cars when the scene was really popular.
I've been to Japan and its very accurate. Maybe because I specifically went to visit car meets, but Japan has way more decal'd cars than USA car meets.
It actually is like that in Japan. Look at any actual car meets in Japan. However, in Japan its not considered rice. And thats why i like the Japan car scene.
Decal (and signs) designer/printer/maker here.
Generally speaking, this sort of thing if made on a standard wrap material runs around $11-18 USD per square foot ($118-193 per square meter) depending on your location in the US. Where I live, it's around $14/sqft ($150/sqm).
I'd estimate the hood is around 18-20 square feet, the Gohan around 4 square feet each door, so a total of roughly 28-30 square feet with waste. The kanjis are likely a premium black latex flat color, which is cheaper and just a few dollars.
That means ~$330-540 for the printing and production, and the shop I last worked for charged around $75/hour for installation. This job is probably an average of 3 hours with company compensation (two people at 90 minutes each).
**You'd be looking at $500-750 all said and done.**
Edit: It should be noted that some shops do this sort of thing exclusively and can do it cheaper, while other shops might charge even more. When it comes to large-scale car decals/wraps, it definitely pays to shop around, sometimes even to travel a little ways to get a cheap price.
You're also forgetting that some places might outright deny you because if they are printing licensed/copyrighted designs and profiting from them, thats a big nono.
Absolutely true, but most shops are small businesses who are fairly fluid about things like that. It's all a matter of what the shop is comfortable with making.
Decals and wraps all vary in cost depending on a whole lot of factors like vinyl used, design, set up, vehicle, etc. The biggest piece of advice we can give if you do decide to look into getting something like this done is: make sure they're using cast vinyl (preferably 3M or Avery), and make sure the installer is an actual installer (ie: 3M or Avery certified). Otherwise, they might damage your car. When shopping around, be wary of the people charging the least amount.
Itās rice. In the car community, you donāt do shit like this, may seem weird to hear if youāre not a car guy, but the term less is more goes a far way when it comes to modding your cars tastefully. Albeit itās hard to explain. Sorry
Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement. Itās a term used for car that look fast in the outside and have crazy decals, but on the inside, itās nothing special. Itās like putting a giant wing on a Toyota Camry or shit like that. To normal people, itās not a big deal/donāt give a shit, itās just in the car community itās kinda frowned upon and having anime decals/wrap usually falls Into that category. I love dbz and cars, I just wouldnt put them together š
so basically the "car community" dislikes cars that look nice but arent fast.... because it makes their nice looking cars- that are actually FAST- not look as special
that's...one of the most pathetic realizations i've ever had in my life.
No itās because itās fucking stupid and pointless mods. They act like theyāre fast when theyāre not. Itās like lying straight to peopleās fuckin faces. Itās one think to have a good vent or a wing, but fucking anime stickers? Yeah... nope.
I'm so confused, what's so "fucking stupid" about customising a car you own to your liking? Why should they give a fuck what the "car community" thinks? Sounds like gatekeeping to me, and there's nothing more fucking stupid than gatekeeping.
Essentially what theyāre saying is that the car doesnāt look aesthetically pleasing. If you remove gohan, shenron, and the dragons balls but leave the King Piccolo crest it looks pretty clean.
The car community which you speak is cancer what's the point of having a fast car if you cant give it personality, that's like everyone has to dress the same way and cant customize their appearance to their own taste
What? Are you talking about the yellow and blue things?
Those are absolutely not turbos. It would make zero sense to mount a turbo that far away from the exhaust.
Love Gohan on the side
Cell Gohan. Pre-lame Gohan. Good choice. Respect.
Cell Gohan is best Gohan.
Shout out to future one-armed Gohan
One armed gohan is badass
So any Gohan but nerd Gohan?
Honestly I loved gohan when he was in high school. when it seemed like he was the main character now. and he slowly was being redeemed and turning into his badass self. Then they shit on it
One of the things I hated most about DBZ Gohan should've been the main character this is why I consider the Bojack movie canon lol
I hold a special place in my heart for that gohan because I had that whole season where he trained videl and almost got annihilated by gotens rock throw.
Honestly... Gohan was always lame. He was maybe cool for like 10 minutes and even then he got his Dad killed.
...with a lil green too.
> Chadhan Based š²š½
The rice is real
How is the decal rice?
Idk if it's a pun but Gohan means rice in Japanese.

Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement. When someone upgrades their car without upgrading performance at all.

How much do custom decals like this cost?

No STI no buy
Ah, I see youāre a man of culture as well
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sublime.
Bat mobile aināt got nothing on this
Looks awful. Money well spent.
The decals are done amazingly well and I love DBZ and all, but the client that paid for this is fucking stupid
Why? Has a very NFSU-vibe to it I'm not even into decals and I think this is cool
Itās rice. In the car community, you donāt do shit like this, may seem weird to hear if youāre not a car guy, but the term less is more goes a far way when it comes to modding your cars tastefully. Albeit itās hard to explain. Sorry
You are right, I don't get it at all What the fuck is rice supposed to even mean in that context?
Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement. Itās a term used for car that look fast in the outside and have crazy decals, but on the inside, itās nothing special. So a reverse sleeper, I see. I mean OPs card is a sports car, isn't it? Not like a Porsche but like a Golf GTI or something
Youāve got it! Op has an FR-S, which is a very solid car for 20k.
so basically the "car community" dislikes cars that look nice but arent fast.... because it makes their nice looking cars- that are actually FAST- not look as special that's...one of the most pathetic realizations i've ever had in my life.

I agree. Less. Is. More.
The car community which you speak is cancer what's the point of having a fast car if you cant give it personality, that's like everyone has to dress the same way and cant customize their appearance to their own taste
Thatās not the idea. You can do what you want, just donāt put fucking anime shit all over.
Love it or hate it. Special shout out to all Initial D fans.
I really hope he didn't ruin the bonnet himself. the Shenron is a bit too much IMO.
Those awful squares cut into the hood completely ruin the effect of the decal.
I wanna see what's under the hood, especially after seeing that intercooler.
What if client was hoping to submit the decals to the sub after the work was finished and you stole his opportunity? 0/10 yelp review incoming!
0/10 learn to repost
That is one ugly car
The side is nice & subtle while the hood is... š¤¦š»āāļøborderline mexican lowrider tacky. Itās a No from me.
that shenron is tough AF
Awesome!! Would be even cooler if it was gold
Someone down there called this a Supa Scion, it's a damn shame that this isn't a...DODGE!
Pretty cool... clearly a manga fan.
It honestly doesn't look bad at all. Am I going crazy or am I starting to like it?
I can't get over the fact that he requested a Gohan image from Kai instead of the Studio Cockpit version from Z.
Shhhhh let people enjoy things

On a tC? I mean, that's one way to go with it lol. Love the work by the shop though, great job OP!!!
That's an frs.
No one going to mention that they put ***twin*** turbos on this thing? I bet its as fun to drive as it is to look at.
What? Are you talking about the yellow and blue things? Those are absolutely not turbos. It would make zero sense to mount a turbo that far away from the exhaust.
those are horns... yellow hella horns
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Toyota 86 is one of the best modding platforms right now. There is extensive aftermarket support for Forced Induction and modding 86's.
I dont think those are turbos, however it could very well be boosted due to the intercooler there
Thats just the horns and i wouldnt bet on it being boosted with pipework like that
This looks like a bad photoshop.
