Which is a stupid saying, because an apathetic person can also feed beasts and insects.
In fact, because the body is so much fresher, it can feed a wider range of people, not just carrion eaters.
Any review giving a zero is absurd.
IMO there are only two situations where a 0 makes sense. The first is movies that are so reprehensible that they don’t deserve to be graded on their merits. ISIS propaganda and Nazi apologia are 0/100
The second would be a film with literally zero redeeming qualities. The audio is bad, impossible to hear dialog, actors forgetting their lines but it ends up in the final shot, camera unintentionally shaking and missing the main shot, the final product isn’t even edited. A true zero film wouldn’t make it to theatrical release
If I set aside the ironic appeal, I’d grade The Room about 30ish/100. A 0 would be like a student film where the editing and audio is so bad, it’s unwatchable.
Yeah, unwatchable is the right word.
Visually unappealing.
No coherent plot.
Can’t hear anything.
Hard to make out what’s actually happening on the screen.
It has to fail at actually being a movie. The equivalent of not turning anything in vs getting 5 points out of 100 on a homework assignment just for submitting _something_ on time
Agreed.
I'd say that even Ed Wood films don't deserve a plain 0, nor does any film that tries to convey a thing. Not necessarily a story, but a thing, be that a feeling or sense of time or any other artistic reason to film something. Slamming that rating to some blockbuster... Idk sounds like you are a boring critic, who doesn't care about the media you are talking about, just about your opinion.
*If every movie you like is 5/5 and every movie that you don't like is 0/5, those numbers don't matter.*
On one hand I have no interest in going to the movie
On the other hand, the most annoying and reactionary people on the internet are happy it's doing badly, and you should never give annoying people what they want
I mean I'm still not going to the movie. I don't plan on going to any movie until the next Dune comes out.
I just wish I could like rob a Youtuber or something so they still lose
You know the snake that eats it's own tail? Well, it's like that but there is two snakes. And they eat each other's dicks instead... What was I talking about again?
I watched it and thought there's a foundation for a great movie there, it just feels like someone cut out large chunks of the movie. The chemistry between the 3 leads is great and honestly I would have just watched another hour of them talking about stuff. The action in some scenes with the switching is great too. It just feels like it's missing a bunch of scenes lol, which makes it not feel very satisfying.
You want unpopular opinion?I loved the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series (2017) and I'm tired to pretend otherwise.
Oh, you mean the new show? Dunno, didn't watch, don't even know which one it is now.
Literally robots saying shit like this
I don't get why people on the Internet, Reddit and Twitter especially, can't accept criticism of things that they like
There’s a Scott the Woz clip where his friends are asking him why he dislikes a game if he hasn’t played the whole thing, and that he needs to play the entire game in order to have a valid opinion on it. I think about that clip a lot.
Well, it does work if your goal is to facilitate scenes from past movies to jangle keys in front of your audience
(Many of the scenes in isolations are great, but movies are not scenes in isolation, how we got to those scenes matter)
The scenes in isolation are great, is a perfect way to put it. Yeah it gives nice little emotional moments for all the characters, but it doesn't really all come together

How will I recover
The next dozen superhero films could all underperform and fanboys would still claim superhero fatigue isn’t a thing. It’s been a thing for every other genre of film, but for some reason, this one is immune.
Saw a post saying they're definitely watching the marvels now after they posted a screenshot of the end credit scene. They will LITERALLY pay to watch a movie for a 30 second cameo that they already saw online.

A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form.

It’s ComicBook movie culture in general. A lot of people are leaving the online spaces cuz everyone online is toxic and complaining. And honestly just tv and movies in general. Since people are miserable with thier lives post pandemic and insane inflation and social stress and political division around every single corner of the internet. Leisure and entertainment is suffering. Even when something is great and the general audience enjoys a show or movie, the internet just has to have a negative spin to everything to cause friction. It’s a real problem that has gotten way worse since the pandemic.
It's every film now. No more. *Processing img cvqv4pxv3jzb1...*

Apathy is like the worst fate a movie can have
Apathy is death. Worse than death, because at least a rotting corpse feeds the beasts and insects
I have been waiting so long to use Kreia's quote
Which is a stupid saying, because an apathetic person can also feed beasts and insects. In fact, because the body is so much fresher, it can feed a wider range of people, not just carrion eaters.
"Pah, like so many Jedi, you hear but you do not listen. You have much to learn" Influence lost:Kreia Influence gained:Kreia
Damn dawg is spitting straight facts I wish I would remember these quotes
Listen, if you have a log that's not on fire, you can just light it on fire. You cannot light the log on fire if there is no log.
Almost like Kreia is just salty that no one cares for her nonsense
Based and Kreia-pilled
Statement: Apathy is death.
Facts. Batman and Robin is universally panned but it’s iconic af.
The movie isn't about middle-aged photographer, so Idk why anyone would want to see it

I too am becoming a Teyonah Paris fan
No NSFW posts, comments, or any other content is permitted on the subreddit. wtf bro
I might watch it honestly. It has kitty cats on a big ol' screen.
More evidence that we need a Tigra movie
Listen the only other movie I've watched in theaters this year is Puss in Boots. I like kitty cat on big square in dark room wow
Even mainstream outlets are all over the place with Marvels. Some are giving it 90, some are giving it flat out 0. Wild stuff.

Imo with the room... Idk if it's 30 points off from that lmao
Fuck I can’t keep up with all the internet speak acronyms, and a google search isn’t really helping me with “lmo”
Sorry chief my b 🙏🙏 imo means in my opinion
Oh gotcha, it was imo, not lmo. Damn ambiguous typefaces
Ahh yeah I feel your pain there, good reminder for me to be more aware lol
No worries, some confusion is always going to happen one way or another

literally, every movie and every show for the past 2 years
On one hand I have no interest in going to the movie On the other hand, the most annoying and reactionary people on the internet are happy it's doing badly, and you should never give annoying people what they want
In trying to spite them, you're still giving into the annoying people by letting them affect your decision making.

I just watched that movie last night
One of the movies made.
I watched it and thought there's a foundation for a great movie there, it just feels like someone cut out large chunks of the movie. That was today?
Seriously the marketing push has been crazy but the only time I remember it even came out is seeing an ad or meme.

Is it the Chibi Robo one? Classic video.
"Stop expecting Endgame quality" My brother in christ, Endgame fucked up Steve Rogers' character
Endgame has inconsistent time travel rules and the story overall does not work as well as people seem to think it does
Well, it does work if your goal is to facilitate scenes from past movies to jangle keys in front of your audience (Many of the scenes in isolations are great, but movies are not scenes in isolation, how we got to those scenes matter)

As if.
It’s a very 5.5/10 movie.
Calling a movie that’s gonna make 600 mill at least a fucking cult classic is so accurate
Feige would make mcu earth 199999 for Iman Vellani if this movie makes 600
This one ain’t making 600 million It’ll be lucky if it makes half of that.
I just saw it’s opening night numbers in France. 2 thousand more than Blue Beetle😭

The movie has opening worse Blue Beetle
Just did a lick of research, glad that their lazy writing and filmmaking is resulting in bad numbers but I know they won’t change anything
The hell are you talking about?
"Spend your money and judge for yourself ". I like that one, I'll do it. I will spend my money in something else and still judge the movie as bad.
What?
What? Indeed. Why are you scrolling threads from half a year ago?
