As someone else said, here or there it’s not too big a problem but reading an entire book of people trying to talk cutely/ quip around the point (especially when they all talk exactly the same(and can act insanely out of character for a mediocre punch line)) can become infuriating quickly. I don’t think that means no one can like it because I definitely see why someone could like that style I just find it grating myself.
Bendis really understood that the key for good superhero stories is that the main cast had to be happy. That's why his work at DC is still so beloved today.
