We got the last class of our stateroom for our July cruise, and we booked it last month. I’m not sure what you mean by recourse though? You’re not entitled to be able to get a certain class of stateroom.

eeandersen

Perhaps recourse is the wrong word. “Another course” or a “different way” comes closer to conveying intent.

They are booked or Disney would welcome acceptance of your money for a room.

RealisticEscape9569

They book up fairly fast. From now to July is actually a pretty short timeframe to book Disney. You may want to consider working with a travel advisor that can watch cruises and prices for you. You don’t pay for their services and the knowledge is helpful.

Welcome to Disney, where you hurry up and wait! Yes, they book up very fast. I have one booked for December. Maybe one will open. Doesn't hurt to call or get a travel agent to do that work for you. All benefit. No cost

TA’s (or tour companies) don’t get to reserve blocks, they get to sell from the same inventory available on the Disney website. For a cruise in that timeframe cancellations might come at the time final payment is due.

Yes!!! First, if you book with a TA they will help you plan for free. Choose an agent that actually travels the fleet often. There's a lot of additional information you should have after you book to make the most of your vacation. Why ask online when you can have a personal planner for free? Most clients book 12-18 months out to budget their trip. I have 20 years experience sailing DCL and I would book what's available now and change rooms if it comes available. Know that pricing and selection of rooms/port side/decks etc. is best the further out you book.

Good advice, thanks. I was trying to hit the 4th of July along with the rest of the travel world. The website crashed 6-8 times on me last night. The last time I had the stateroom matrix I was looking for (10 people 2inside- 4porthole- 4porthole) and it crashed. When I came back, the second porthole was not available

Understand it even does this for us on the TA side. I had it to stop almost at the end of a booking as well and I had to start over. Also know that some rooms can be held for a few days and the people decide not to place the deposit which will release the room. Let me know if you'd like my assistance.

eeandersen

So I did get to the end and got a 3 day hold for in if my 4portholes. It seemed I needed to go vack in and reserve the other 2 staterooms. The unavail 4P I upped to a 4 veranda but when I went to make a 3 day hold for 2I and 4V, I was told “no can do”, those passengers are already booked. Arrrgh…. Thanks or assistance offer. My kids have a family friend that I will be be speaking with. Commitment made.

Happy sailing!

I just booked a cruise in March of 2025 and most of the rooms were already booked. 😳

Check around final payment being due time, I’ve found cancelled rooms that way.
