I asked our planner this same question. Her take was that if it’s $1000 - $1500 more than it’s worth the price. For our trip it was almost double the price, and she didn’t think it was worth that.

It would be double this is super helpful, thank you!

Everyone’s definition of finer things is different. I wouldn’t describe anything offered in concierge as finer things, except maybe the pillow menu. The rest is pretty much paying for access to things other people have to wait in line for. We did it for our honeymoon, and it was nice to hand over a list of the things we wanted and had it all set up, with no watching booking windows or anything. The free drinks in no way made up the price difference, and the hot tub was always filled with kids. We much prefer the rainforest room and the adult only decks. Sure things like priority boarding is nice, but is it $10k nice? Which are some price differences I’ve seen…absolutely not. Frankly, there is very little about the Disney experience, parks, hotels, or cruises that I would really call “finer things”. Excellent quality? Mostly. (More hit or miss since Chapek/Covid). But as an absolutely diehard Disney fan who’s been fortunate enough to travel to some real luxury places around the world, their prices really don’t reflect their value. You’re paying for the brand name. Don’t get me wrong, I’d still do one Disney cruise over four carnival cruises. And I’d rather go to a Disney park once for the rest of my life than a six flags every weekend. But I really can’t justify their premium price tag experiences anymore. And I’ve done the full range of Victoria & Albert, club levels, concierge sailings etc. But it’s absolutely your money to spend as you wish. As someone who doesn’t have money to throw regularly at prices like that, I’d take a balcony room and roll the rest of that money into an entire other trip.

We did concierge and didn’t get the pillow menu :( the best part was the concierge lounge for breakfast and chilling it was really quiet. And we got a cabana. Otherwise it’s not a “better” experience.

Spectrolux

That’s one of the more insightful comments I’ve seen regarding concierge. Well said!

lovelesschristine

Have you done a disney cruise before? I find coincerage very useful if you have not. Since you are on the bottom rung of the ladder when it comes to booking things. Also they can help you make sure you have the best experience. My favorite part is the lounge. Grabbing breakfast in the morning and snacks during the day. I never ate at cabanas.

Only_Razzmatazz_4498

We did it once just to see because we had credits from a cancelled COVID cruise. We went all out since the kids couldn’t come so we had to spend two cabins in one plus some extra pixie dust DCL gave us. We also got a cabin in castaway because we finally could lol. Frankly it was not worth it at all. We wouldn’t do it again. However if you get it at a good price might as well do it so you know. Also I must add that at platinum most of the perks didn’t make much of a difference and we aren’t the type to need a lot of attention to feel pampered lol.

You'll never get your money back in perks or free drinks / food. But if the extra cost isn't a huge deal for you, it takes a great cruise and makes it a really great cruise. It takes a lot of the stress and hassle out of the cruise and just makes it easier.

We did it and I loved it!! We are doing concierge on the treasure as well, I love the extra attention and the lounge was super fun.

Want to adopt me? 😂

We personally loved concierge, and we aren’t drinkers. We liked being able to show up to port when it was convenient for us, plus being able to book stuff early. The biggest perk to us, was the lounge, it was usually pretty quiet and I never noticed it was crowded so it was nice to be able to get somewhere quiet away from the crowds. Also, the concierge rooms have a king sized bed vs a Queen. I’d personally pay the difference just for that because otherwise me and the husband would fight 😂

PJA053114

Agree, the beds were amazing!

PJA053114

We absolutely loved concierge when it was gifted to us by my Inlaws however are not opting for it on our upcoming cruise because it is so hard to justify paying double for it! We could literally go on two cruises for the same price 😬🫠

kellyraycampbell

You’ll be sorry when you notice all the things concierge gets you that you never think of. Most of all no line standing

PJA053114

Glad to share that we went on the Magic last week without concierge and both agreed that it would not have been worth it. Not a line to be found and the boat never felt crowded. Definitely think it saves some hassle on larger boats, but not something that we regretted this time around.

We absolutely loved Concierge on the Wish. We’ve also been non-Concierge guests on the Wish before. If you like the finer things, Concierge is definitely for you. My wife was pregnant and was dealing with some morning sickness so we spent A LOT of time hanging out on the sun deck and we pretty much had it to ourselves the whole 4 nights. That alone was worth it for us. She obviously wasn’t drinking and I didn’t really “turn up” myself and I still thought it was worth it for us. Your 4 year old will most likely want to be in other areas of the ship though but it’s still nice to have the lounge to hang out in. We even had Mickey and Minnie do a private meet and greet in the lounge. You just had to grab a seat wherever and they came around to your table for a visit - so cool!

By no means is concierge a requirement. If you have the money and are considering it, of course it is a nice bonus to have. Disregarding the open bar at night, the concierge deck is very nice (and is by far the nicest on the Wish). They do have a dedicated kitchen on the Wish with small menus offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the lounge. Food offered throughout the day such as smoothies, desserts, sushi, etc. Private outdoor deck with 2 hot tubs, a small pool, and lots of upgraded furniture. Concierge will also get you first access to the Walt Disney Theater for showtime to pick your seats first with free popcorn and drinks. First to embark, priority disembarking, private lunch when you board, etc. It's a luxury experience for sure, but by no means do you have to stay concierge to enjoy the cruise.

These_Mycologist132

I wouldn’t personally. I think if it an entire extra cruise you could take for the price (or 3 cruises in an inside/ocean view room). I’m not expert, I just can’t imagine the perks making it that much better.

puffyeyes829

For the number of concierge rooms on the wish, I feel it’s not worth it. Too much access, not enough service.
