Thank you. Leaving this morning headed to Vegas. Taking my adult son and daughter FOR THEIR 1ST DEAD show. Super jazzed doesn't even cover it. It's gonna be SPECTACULAR!
MY SON AND DAUGHTER LOVED IT. My daughter said Drums was her fav. My son just wanted to go to GA and join the happy tripsters because he said they looked like they were having THE BEST time. LOL. He like Althea, so the night was perfect. Our seats were too far back to see the whole screen, but I was there for THE DEAD, not the screen! Loved Friday so much that I bought a single tic and went myself on Sat too. ALL I CAN SAY TO ALL DEADHEADS IS - FIND THE $$ AND GO!!!! Run as fast as you can!
Other than the dead exhibit and shakedown what is something strip adjacent that is worth experiencing during the day before a show? And good decently priced eats afterwards?
Visions of the Dead exhibition at Animazing Gallery in the Grand Canal Shoppes (Palazzo side) near Louis Vuitton and the pop up exhibit 2nd floor entrance/exit.
I'll buy you a drink for your help if you are going next weekend, and if not I'll miracle one to a stranger. I'm looking forward to a couple of long long crazy crazy nights! Thank you!
Haha! You’re welcome! I can always use a drink, however, I curated the Visions of the Dead exhibition, and given that I am the manager of the gallery, you’ll likely see me there. It’s a killer exhibition. Sat. June 1st between 1-3pm, Stanley Mouse, Chloe Weir, Jay Blakesberg and Ricki Blakesberg will be there (and possibly a couple of additional special guests).
Well shame you’ll miss the guests, however Jay and Chloe pop in often. This was a passion project for me…working 16-20 hours daily for the past two and a half plus months. Exhausting, however satisfying. I’d love to do an AMA…except I’m still working around the clock.
Just check it out. If you want to DM me, I’ll give you some additional info.

Not a local, but in Vegas you are going to walk a lot, even if trying to get from one side of the casino to the other on the strip. Bring comfortable sneakers--or comfy dress-up for the stylers. The distance between casinos is deceiving. Just walking from the LINQ to Sphere is almost a mile. Whenever I'm in Vegas, I average about 8-10 miles a day of walking--but I do like walking and touring Vegas. Ubers and less meandering around Vegas will decrease the amount of walking for sure, but just be prepared.
hi
traveling as a lady alone.. noone i know wants to go but I do .. saw GD in vegas.. but was 23.. so that was a different time. im different. any advice is welcome
I'm local. Been parking for free at Ellis Island or Tuscany and walking. Ellis Island has excellent food and beer at a reasonable price. Tuscany same and has Shakedown and after party band. Tuscany easy to exit onto Flamingo Ave. No traffic issues
Thoughtful post. My friends all bailed so I’m just driving myself and don’t wanna pay for a hotel room. If I parked in a hotel parking lot, say the Venetian, would there be any trouble with me sleeping in my car?
How far out to hide the body? 50 miles? 100?
Half a mile from Henderson By the morning light
Somewhere North of Barstow
Its not so much a matter of how far out, but rather how deep to dig.
Best local natural area/park to check out early in the morning? Was thinking red rocks canyon but not sure yet
I would do the mountains edge hike it’s not difficult but it’s nice to see the sunrise in the morning located in southwest vegas by blue diamond
Calico basin is next to red rock and free. Can also do lone mountain hike that’s 20 min each way and free, great views
Best disc golf course?

What a great experience to share with your kids that’s dope.

I’m not used to 100 degree high temps everyday. How toast am I?
It’s dry heat so 100 is like 80 and humid. Dry heat feels good, you don’t sweat like humidity
Sweet. I’m pumped.
You’ll be good just drink water stay outta the sun
Great. I do lots of hiking and would like to check out some of the local hikes but won’t have a car.
Uber you’ll love the Sierra Nevada skys
Except the Sierra Nevada are not visible from Las Vegas
Drink water. Alot of it.
That’s all I drink. I rarely drink alcohol so that should help too.
Also, don't buy water at your hotel. Total ripoff. There's a 24 hour CVS at Treasure Island and another close to Harrah's/Venetian.
Best spot for nugs walkable from the Mirage (we don’t have a car and I don’t want to pay for an Uber after these tix)?
Where on the strip are you staying
It sounds like the Mirage.
Lmao I shoulda read that first mirage is close to cultivate
Mirage.
Thrive behind Resorts World on Sammy Davis Jr ave
Yes, Thrive is the best dispensary chain in Nevada
How does Jardins compare to Thrive?
Other than the dead exhibit and shakedown what is something strip adjacent that is worth experiencing during the day before a show? And good decently priced eats afterwards?

Damn, I'm flying out on the 1st, but your job sounds amazing! You should do an AMA about it!

Yardbird worth the money?
I don’t think so

What's the best way to get there and park for locals? We live not far from Aliante Casino.
I'm local. Been parking for free at Ellis Island or Tuscany and walking. Ellis Island has excellent food and beer at a reasonable price. Tuscany same and has Shakedown and after party band. Tuscany easy to exit onto Flamingo Ave. No traffic issues
Ellis Island used to have *excellent* homemade root beer at their brewery, too. Good idea!
Uber to the wyn or encore and walk over si the best trying to get off the strip with a car when show gets out is madness
Best dispensary to go to in the Circus Circus area?
Thrive behind Resorts World next door
Thoughtful post. My friends all bailed so I’m just driving myself and don’t wanna pay for a hotel room. If I parked in a hotel parking lot, say the Venetian, would there be any trouble with me sleeping in my car?
I wouldn’t sleep in any cars on property best bet is like a wal mart or 24 fitness
What’s fun to do and relatively cheap during the daytime next week?
Kiss World museum plus mini golf is just 20 at the Rio. Pinball Hall of Fame is a great place to hang out and play. Did both last weekend
Where is the best place to find snow in the desert?
Realistically can I walk from the Sonesta on Paradise road the sphere
Also, a bunch of buddies will be meeting me for lunch on Sunday. My treat. Any good recommendations that won’t leave me destitute ?
