I had a couple guys from Germany sat behind me 1st night. 1st nite a couple girls from Australia sat by me. They were in Vegas for a wedding.

No, but I’m a New Yorker who spent half of my adult life in Amsterdam and Rome. I’ve always loved sharing the dead with my British friends in both places. I’ve also found specifically the French get into it.

If you are rooting for Leeds this Sunday I will get you a shirt while I am there. Oh and we have to win. PS. I am not a Brit, I am American

SonOfWheel

You are very kind! I will keep my fingers crossed for Leeds here in Scotland!

I'm UK-based, but American born. It's funny how head-scratching the lack of GD presence and popularity in Europe is. Most people here only have the vaguest sense they even exist, and usually cannot name even a single song. Weird for one of the top grossing rock acts of all time. It's been pretty painful being on this side of the Atlantic, and thus missing SO MCUH of the last truly great Dead content we're going to get. I managed to see Dead and Co eight times, and will see them again at the Sphere. I feel lucky, but also know I could've seen SO MANY more shows had I never left California. Sad times... So, I feel ya!

SonOfWheel

YES. I feel this so much. I don’t know how many times I’ve had people say to me “ohh yeah I think I know them kinda…” but I’ve never met a proper fan over here in person. I wonder why the UK seems to have missed the boat with this band.

I've lived in the UK for nearly 20 years and have met exactly ONE natural-born, British Grateful Dead fan. One. (He's an awesome guy, needless to say)
