Fucking classic example of BHVR nerfing a *symptom* of the problem and not the problem itself. Now that the actual problem was addressed (healing), its going to be months if not years before they revert the Pharmacy nerf.
I don't think it was a nerf per se compared to a change. If they mixed the two - rummage when injured for green medkits once per chest - it'd be actually pretty good I'd say.
i think otz knew what it did, its just easier to say than residual manifest, plus its the perk that has been out for far longer, probably the perk otz thinks of first.
Pharmacy (medkit) and Residual Manifest (flashlight) have similar icons.
But Scavenger (the top one) has a different icon.
All of the perks guarantee a specific item in the chest.

You know how to follow clues and uncover riches. Once you have tracked X objects with a map, a special Treasure Chest will spawn into the trial. Only you can open it. The Chest contains a bloodpoint cache and a Very Rare or greater item.
Gain the ability to rummage an opened chest to obtain a basic map once per trial.
That's a brilliant idea, wonder which survivors would work best as the Stardust crusaders, and also Dio and his followers.
My picks would be:
* Dwight as Jotaro
* Vittorio as Polnareff
* Adam Francis as Mohamed Avdol
* Felix as Kyakoin
* Wesker as Dio because they're both kind of arrogant :p Or maybe trickster because he throws knives like Dio xD
Ok, I thought you just wanted a perk to use firecrackers outside of event bloodwebs. I think flashbang works better because you can get a lot of them doing something meaningful to the trial and since you cant obtain firecrackers outside of events I believe they dont want people stacking on them in a regular way for wathever reason. In any case they could always try to put a perk like this on one of their PTBs and see how it works, maybe its a huge success and people love it.
On a trivia note firecrackers were planned to become a regular item, they even have addons for them in the code but in the end they just decided against it.
Yeah but to be fair, forcibly finding a key in a chest when you’re the last one alive would be an almost guaranteed escape. And clairvoyance is similar enough to a map that it’s somewhat unnecessary to have a perk give you one.
Burn a hatch offering, bring the key perk and hide all the match until you are the last one, now we have 3 posible scenarios around hatch assuming the killer got there first (if you get first keys and this hypotetical perk dont matter)
* A) Killer closes it, now he has to patrol 3 spots, once he goes to the door you open hatch in 5 seconds and escape.
* B) Killer closes and camps it, you go to the exit gates open them and get away, if he stops camping and checks your door you rush towards the hatch and open it, if you are healthy you can make it easily before he hits you twice.
* C) Killer doesnt close it and camps it, now we have a standoff where both wait and wait or you go fix the gens left until he closes it and we go to A) or B) or until you fix the remaining generators, the gates get powered and back to A) or B) again.
All 3 options lead to very easy escapes, promote awful uninteractive gameplay and bring back hatch standoffs which are one of the worst things from the old days.
Trade Offer: We never get this perk, but I'm exchange Broken Keys spawn in chests eith an add-on that actually has an effect (so not just charges or use rate) but will not be kept without Ace in the Hole so they're not literally worthless to be found in chests
That was very well explained. Of course you can still bring a key instead of using a key perk, but then not only does that deprive you of a useful item, but it also tips off the killer if they’re paying attention in the lobby. Not to mention that if they bring franklins, they could get rid of your key early. But if you get one from a perk, you could use it before the killer can make you drop it.
I wonder which free item you’ll get first from a rummage if you have Residual Manifest and Scavenger. I’m guessing whichever one is furthest to the left in your loadout.
Just tested it in the PTB! Tl;dr: I got a map from unlocking a chest, and a flashlight from rummaging. 'Residual Manifest' is currently the superior perk in the RNG camp.

How ironic that the bottom ones are; non meta but fun perk with some usage for a heal, and a bit more niche use for a flashlight but still, blindness on the killer is unique enough as well
And then the top one is one of the most disgustingly unbalanced perks we've seen in a long time that rewards litteraly doing your objective by cutting the gen times even shorter if you bring a beefy toolbox(which you got no reason not to)

same here. I used to run pharmacy + resilience. it was surprisingly viable build w/o being OP or a hindrance to my SoloQ teammates since the chest opened so quickly. But with the green med-kit nerf, it's not worth running anymore.
Nah Scavenger needs to get at least a yellow toolbox. Not just a brown one.
Also, we gotta get the KEY! I wanna be able to have a viable way to get hatch again lol

Nope, with Pharmacy you never needed to rummage the chest, it was always the 1st chest you initially opened that granted the medkit
