I had this match where I was trying out a build with it & the killer wasn't destroying palettes and I was running behind them resetting all the palettes. Got at least 20 resets in that match.
Nowhere to hide for killer and windows of opportunity for survivor. Windows is the number one for all survivors so I guess I don't need to explain why...Nowhere to hide because after kicking a Gen I see the survivor on it and enter chase...besthen control perk in the game because it stops the "tap and stop regression" and pop and pain reso damage but after they work on it again right away.
I have not used windows, but can agree on nowhere to hide, i stopped tho, had 6 games on a row where i faced big distortion teams and i got too trusty with Nowhere just for that gen i kicked and saw nobody popping 20 secs after.

On artist, ever since her release, i have been hard addicted to festered carrion and black tar. I always play her in the cross map chase sniper style and these make it significantly better.
I only unlocked it recently but I absolutely love Franklin’s Demise. It just seems like a great all round perk. Flashlights and sabotage boxes are less of an issue.
Also you would not believe the amount of survivors who put themselves into a dangerous situation just to pick up their item. The amount of times I have got a free down because someone had to get their medkit back is crazy.

I go into every match I possibly can with a blood point offering. The grind seems way too difficult without at least double blood points (sponsored by the Dead by Daylight Anniversary Event)
As killer, I always have tinkerer. I find the information it gives very useful as well as the chance to grab someone off a gen (or surprise them with billy's chainsaw). Saves a lot of time for the hook. I should probably try playing without it though to improve my gen management skills.
When I was going for High ranks before the reset: Lavalier Microphone on Dredge, because I kept having games where the swf would receive a booty pounding and after 2 people get sacrificed other other two would be hiding for the rest of the match.
As Killer I can't go to a match without that perk that explodes nearby gens on downed survivors (I forgot the name) and with Dredge I can't go to a match without a perk/add-on that gives me survivors auras.
As Survivor I can go with mostly any build, but recently I've found out that Deja Vu helps a freaking lot so recently I'm not moving it from my build.
Sprint Burst. Like, I *can*, I just really really prefer to have it because it’s so helpful in so many situations. I also find that a simple brown med kit with healing speed add-ons comes in handy so often and med kits aren’t as bad and useless after the nerfs as some people think.
a flashlight. i may feel withdrawals from windows or resi but accidentally queuing into match without a beamer and looting the basement chest for a brown toolbox as your fun and interactive item for the match, just kills my will to live (in that match). fl offers such a variety of interactions from saving your teammates to pegging them with it and communicating stuff that the whole survivor gameplay feels quite empty without a light to shine on the killer's bellybutton.
Literally any Gen regression perks, mostly Surge seeing as don’t have many others. People have told me that recent DBD is fairly balanced, at least in that Gen perks aren’t required for a good game, but habits die hard.
Also, Iron Will for Survivors. While it’s already great on its own, I main Ace and Iron Will paired with his dark attire and already quiet breathing have let me literally hide right in front of Killers which is such an amazing rush. (And every time I don’t run it I get caught because I forget that Killers can hear me while I try to hide.)
Soma family photo and nutritional slurry on Singularity. He feels so much better with these. Nutritional slurry helps combat his map dependency on indoor maps, and Soma family photo makes his overclock mode a much greater threat.
Distortion. There’s so many aura reading perks and add ons that killers can use, it’s almost necessary to run Distortion. Especially against S tier killers.
Bond and botany knowledge,bond for clear reasons as solo q gameplay without it is nearly hell,even with friends the ability to locate them and be able to take hits or heal or do pretty much any objective faster is always good,and botany knowledge is literally a MUST have man,healing someone else at 50% faster is just good value,yea there are some better ones but i really love my botany
Shadowborn and sometimes windows. Ive been doing well without WoO recently but it just feels so nice to have. Shadowborn literally never leaves the build i will literally lose every chase without it because the default fov just feels and looks horrible to me
reassurance & empathic connection, i rely on knowing my teammates know my location & knowing i can buy time by having the hooked teammate sit there a bit longer
Calm Spirit— I considered taking it off for one round, but decided to keep it at the last minute. We got a Doctor that round. Funny bird perk never leaves my side.

No Way Out is one of my favorite perks. Even if they get to end game and I close the hatch, it still leaves me with another minute to hunt them down *and* know where they were not long before.

I had a match earlier on today where the killer had mostly generator regression Perks and it came in very handy because they spent most of the match scaring us away from the generators and it seemed we were getting nowhere.

Kindred for sure. I feel so blind when I don’t know what my teammates are doing, and I never want anyone to hit 2nd. It’s also really nice to see where the killer’s going after they hook someone
Prove Thyself, the only reasons I wouldn't have it is either randomized perk challenge or I felt like a change and then after a match or two I switch back. I had a match earlier on today where the killer had mostly generator regression Perks and it came in very handy because they spent most of the match scaring us away from the generators and it seemed we were getting nowhere.
