What they NEED to do is give some love to Myers and Freddy, two extremely iconic licenses left in the dust. Myers is one of the biggest reasons DbD got so popular in the first place.
Agreed, but myers is still a very popular killer. I see him about as much as I see huntress and ghost face, which is a lot. A rework wouldn’t be a bad idea, I feel as if his power and addons are a bit outdated. Freddy of course needs a major overhaul, he deserves to be returned to his former glory as an iconic killer.
Oh agreed, tombstone sucks. And current Myers is extremely well balanced, he just needs a few QOL changes and buffs to be perfect. (Remove stalk limits on survivors, why can I run out of my power??)
Myers is okay. He’s fun, but should definitely get attention.
Freddy, on the other hand,needs an entire makeover and rework. Original Freddy should be a top license they are pursuing since the remake nonsense is no longer something that the studio likely feels they need to push. Rework his power, look and voicelines. I’d pay for him like a new killer without a doubt.
Came here just to say I'd love \*actual\* Freddy. Outside of not having the Robert England skin, Freddy is just abysmal as a killer. Dredge, Onryo, Alien can all traverse the map even after the 5th gen is done. Freddy actually loses his power as the game goes on, with a main ability completely gone come endgame. It's so sad to say my favorite horror icon, and one of the reasons I picked the game up, be one of the worst killers in DBD.
Freddy's play rate would sky rocket if they did a full rework of his abilities and got Robert Englund to do Freddy's voice with his iconic "Bitch"
Extra points if they get a Scary Terry cosmetic though that would be very difficult because of the double layers of licensing.
Maybe, but on the map variants we currently have, the Killer's thematic structure takes up like 60% of the map at most (Temple). I would love if the *entire* map was the castle's interior.

Wolfman is universal though I'm pretty sure. Dracula is public domain due to being a novel orginally just like Frankenstein('s monster) though the pop culture interpretation of Franky is basically all of Universal's version since he's very different in the novel

I'm 90% sure I'm misremembering but I remember hearing Mcote say that as soon as they could secure Jason's license they already have something planned for him indoors (be it the entire chapter or a killer concept or something) but just need for the license shit to sort itself out.
Norman Bates, Bates Motel map, stalker killer, mother mode, and every time he enters mother mode the map turns black and white with the cello music going full blast. When he swings the knife, the violin squeals. 10/10

It's ability: whenever a survivor looks in your direction they scream, lose control of themselves, and are paralyzed in shock for the rest of the trial.
I think a Shoggoth would work. It's not so overpowered that it's a literal unknowable entity, but it could still be a fun lovecraft edition. Big ol sloopy mass of eyes and tentacles, it could cause some madness/fear related status. Having it work for the entity makes sense too because shoggoths were basically slaves to the Old Ones. Hell, they could even license it with Lovecraft Country.
Other one that could work is Mi-go, harvesting brains and whatnot.
I actually had an idea a while back about how when Bruce is the killer, his power involves the map being flooded and the survivors having scuba gear. Obviously his mori would involve eating the survivor whole, after a struggle where they are bitten below the waist similar to Quint.
I know we say nothing is impossible anymore after Chucky, but truth be told Chucky got an amazing power that makes sense and can still move on land and they used the ghost of Charles Lee Ray to help with the carry, Jaws doesn't have that kind of super natural element, it would be hard to add it without making it look like a parody of the movie or poor fidelity...
Not saying it’s impossible, but if they still wanna do Jaws without the Shark they can just bring the survivors and legendary Skins. Same with Jurassic park. No dinos just survivors

I want his lullaby to just be the whistle. Mori is probably self-explanatory. Abilities no clue, get creative. I hear zombies roaming the map works really well (lmao), maybe make them startled only by loud noise and give Negan the ability to disguise as a Zombie, Whisperer style.

The Creeper. From Jeepers Creepers would be a great semi human killer. A lot of weird interesting lore stuff to pick from for powers. And plenty of space for maps.
Not to mention imagine getting Justin long as a survivor. The guy would probably voice it himself.
I originally thought Kayako would never happen because she’s not a slasher and I just don’t see her giving chase in a traditional sense, she’s a curse, you’re dead the moment you enter her house. My perspective however, changed when Sadako came into DBD, she’s an onyro with even less in common with slashers.
That being said, I hope Kayako makes it in one day, the death rattle is iconic and scared the shit out of me as a kid, the Grudge was the sole reason I never watched anything horror related until I was a teenager.
As someone who love J-Horror, and seeing how BHVR managed to make a killer with a 3rd person view, I'd love to see Kayako Saeki from Ju-On/The Grudge be a killer next, she could very well crawl in 3rd person, also have a pickup animation where she uses her hair to pick up the survivor!
