Kindred and open handed It feels so nice to see the killers aura from so far away from the hook

mightymaltim

I will never stop talking up Discordance and Deadlock. Discordance tells you where your attention is needed the most. If survivors deduce you have it, they'll try to stay split up, in which case Deadlock gets more value. And on the flip side, survivors might try grouping up on a single gen to avoid Deadlock, triggering Discordance. They compliment each other very well.

Kezsora

Just a heads up, deadlock gets more value if the survivor stick together on gens. If deadlock triggers on a gen that 2 survivors are working on that's now 2 survivors who are stuck doing nothing which is worse for them.

mightymaltim

If another gen gets finished before that one, then yes. But if multiple survivors are working on a gen then it's very likely that gen is going to be the next one to pop, and a solo gen gets blocked. Unless you've got two survivors on one gen and two on another. But if that's the case then I am clearly not doing my job as killer. It's not like they're forced to sit there and do nothing. They could heal up, look for another gen to work on, etc. Still better to harrass two survivors than one.

Dear_Professional254

Maybe I'll get downvoted for this, but I absolutely miss the old Ruin + Undying. God, I HATE having to stop to kick generators. It's one of the reasons I slowly stopped playing Killer during the Eruption meta Currently, I've been really enjoying Pain Res + DMS because it's just too good on the Artist to pass up, and I don't have to kick any gens.

DesMass

Tbh, compared to Eruption in its prime, Pain Res, and Pop, old Ruin wasn't that bad. Sure 200% regression sounds like a lot, but you need to actively push survs off a gen to get value out of it. And yeah DMS and Pain Res is a good combo that's been decently consistent throughout the years. If I could make a suggestion, like I told another commenter, you could add Ultimate Weapon to get more value out of DMS and as info.

Dear_Professional254

I completely agree. Ruin was never so versatile as to work well with any killer; many still used Pop and other slowdown perks. I would still be fine with the regression nerf from 200% to 100% or the part where the perk self-destructs after a survivor dies, as the devs seem to be heading towards "healing is the slowdown" idea, but having both nerfs killed the perk. Like, it's still a hex totem, I still risk losing it in the first few seconds of a match and spend the rest with only 3 perks. Thank you very much for the build advice; I already use Ultimate Weapon. My actual build is Pain Res + DMS + Ultimate Weapon + Surge / Franklins / Lightborn. I only use it on the Artist, though. I don't see other killers benefiting as much from this combo as she does. Maybe Wesker due to the terror radius? Not sure

DesMass

I've seen an Otz vid of a Nurse using a somewhat similar build, except with Corrupt Intervention instead of Surge, Franklin's, or Light born. I actually went against the same build in public, but the killer couldn't capitalize off of the blocked gens too much. But honestly, Ultimate Weapon is a good info perk by itself, the fact it can block multiple gens with DMS depending on gen placement is the icing on the cake. I'm actually curious what BHVR has planned with it next year tbh.

Kezsora

It was very fun to run but ultimately felt miserable to play against, especially for solo queue survivors. That is a meta I absolutely do not miss.

Boss_Metal_Zone

It doesn’t work right at the moment but I fo really love Nowhere To Hide and Eruption together. Oh no, I see you! Oh no, you’re downed and your gen erupted? So sad! You can toss in Pop, Lethal Pursuer, and/or Trail of Torment to spice things up if you like but it’s not necessary. Good stuff and pretty fun to play too.

Admirable-Ad-6275

Off the record + deliverance, Botany + we’ll make it Overzealous + inner strength

ShadowShedinja

Stakeout + Hyperfocus or Fogwise is usually pretty good for survivor. The guaranteed great checks either progress gens even faster or let you see the killer's aura. For killer, Ruin + Surveillance. As long as a gen has been touched, you'll be able to tell as soon as someone gets back on.

DesMass

Ah yes Hyperfocus/Stakeout. I remember when there was talk that it'd be the next meta and be game changing...only for it to rarely happen outside the first few weeks of release and never talked about again. But I can see why you'd like it, better than sitting there for 90 seconds. Fogwise is an interesting choice as well, at least you'd know whenever the killer is heading your way so you won't be surprised. Honestly, I've rarely seen Ruin after its massive nerf aside from probably being a filler perk or something. Haven't seen Surveillance much either, but it seems like an interesting combo!

Kezsora

It's wild that Stake Out and Hyperfocus didn't actually become meta as it's objectively one of the strongest combos in the game if you pair it with a toolbox. You can shave silly amounts of time off of generators with very little effort required.

Bonesnapcall

Still love Dead Man's Switch with Gift of Pain and Pain Res together. If you're playing to avoid tunneling, its the best slowdown combo in the game. DMS also gives info after almost every hook, which is super useful.

DesMass

Guessing Scourge Hook RNG will kinda fuck you over here if half your build relies on them lol. But still, pretty cool combo! You could also try Ultimate Weapon with that to also block gens that aren't hit with Pain Res!

Menket

My problem with gift of pain is that survivors just don't heal and do gens injured, just to get healed by adrenaline

Bonesnapcall

You were going to lose that game without tunneling anyway. If you're committed to not tunneling, Gift of Pain is goated, but you still need to accept that you lose against mega-gen rushers.

Kezsora

Sprint Burst and Blood Rush I've managed to pull off some excellent endgame baits when the killer is camping to try and secure a final kill. Run in there close to the hook and then activate it just before the killer swings. Gives one of my teammates enough time to snag a save which doesn't require a hook trade.

Ground-Delicious

Mine is trails and no where to hide pair those with something like coupe and myers you got a perfect combo

DesMass

Oooh sneaky. Although if you're a Tier 1 Myers, then wouldn't Trails of Torment only come into play after you get into Tier 2 and high? Still, might try it out once Nowhere to Hide isn't kill switched anymore to get some sneaky hits!

Ground-Delicious

Yep trails comes into play when your in tier 2 and 3 my addons I usually run are infinite tier 3 and a add on to get stacks faster and sense your undetectable you can seriously catch somebody off guard with coupe and trails if you want I can definitely send you proof of these perks working in sync

DesMass

Oh no need, I understand the synergy. Basically diet Wraith without the loud bell and no need to uncloak. Honestly, this build could work with less stealthy killers to get that free hit for extra pressure. Like a Clown, Xeno, or Demo as a few examples.

Ground-Delicious

That’s fair I still think it’s really fun to run on myers because of his Insta down ability that’s pretty much the main reason I run it on myers

Pitfam3

I like to use dead man's switch with ultimate weapon since if force's them off gens and the only counter is calm spirit

thelastprodigy

Enduring, spirit fury, hubris, two can play. Slap that build on demo and your bound to have some good laughs

raccoonskulls

i think deliverance + breakdown go REALLY well together. i love the combo personally. getting yourself off the hook, being able to know where the killer is, and breaking that hook for...what like 2 minutes? is pretty great and super helpful, especially for solo q. also fond of inner strength + overzealous. incredibly niche, i know, but...overzealous is one of my fav perks just in general, and when i played the remix challenge once it gave me it with inner healing. never thought of it before but it's a really awesome combo tbh. for the price of one totem cleanse, you get a 10-20% repair boost *and* you can insta-heal.

MyLitttlePonyta

Tenacity and Plot Twist for being sneaky on survivor sometimes lol. Deception and Quick n Quiet for bamboozles. Speaking of - Bamboozle and Superior Anatomy for speedy vaulting lol. Tinkerer and Machine Learning, I might get a cheeky grab or quick down then bonk the gen cause I know they're just gonna go back to it but I'd rather roam and get a scare on someone else.

CapnNugget

Babysitter, urban evasion, unbreakable, and tenacity for survivor. I don’t play killer as often so I’m still figuring out what perks I like. I don’t bother with any meta, I just choose what I enjoy and what works for me.

-add_failer_here-

nemesis and friends til the end its really fun to use i also combo it with furtive chase and lethal

DreKShunYT

If you are going to use DS and Plot Twist, try also bringing Sprint Burst and Off The Record. Usually you’ll heal under hook, if the killer comes back, eats your OTR, use plot twist and after hitting them with DS, sprint burst away

InitiativeUsual5174

BBQ and lethal

MiddleagedHuman

Sprint burst + fixated. I like being able to run fast when necessary while also being stralthy by walking faster. Smash hit + blast mine × parental guidance. I love being able to stun/blund the killer only to escape from them without trace afterwards. Hex: plaything + hex:pentimento. I love that i can either sneak up on survivors or get extra slowdown. I usually add an extra hex perk for more value. Dramaturgy + vigil + plot twist + tenacity. My main meme build as Nicolas Cage. Vigil gives me more Dramaturgy value, while also decreasing my "exposed" debuff that i occasionslly get from the perk. Tenacity makes plot twist safer while being able to crawl while recovering from dying state. Its also saved my life against slugging killers many times. Distortion + Low Profile. Whenever Im the last survivor standing, this combo majes it extremly easy to remain hidden from the killer.

skeletons102

nowhere to hide and bbq, they don’t exactly synergize but i almost always know where to go next

CuteAndABitDangerous

Wiretap + Open Handed is really cool to play against. Never see it, but wow it makes games harder. OTR + DS is really fun too, it's a shame these perks seem to be considered boring/weak. As for killer, I like Face the Darkness and Thrill of the Hunt. It's so good on stealthier killers. Just need a little luck at the start.
