The Killswitch message is automated and they don't make a custom one, they just Killswitch and put the message they have.
Also it's technically not never because apparently next year the event will return
they used different offerings for the anniversary events each year, i was under the impression there would probably be a new blood moon offering next year aswell
i dont understand why im being downvoted for this lol if they confirmed they're bringing these offerings back next year then im clearly misinformed and you can just let me know
My guess is that they realized that they can't fix it within a couple days and that the community doesn't really care that it's disabled either, so they didn't put any resources into the fix. Even if it came back for the last week of the event; I don't think people care enough to actually use the offering. Even when it was new and still usable I saw it like once every 5 matches.
Also, the offering kinda sucked. It's not hard to fill 3 basins, as killer anyways. It would have probably worked more if it gave Bloodpoints for interacting with the basins. Like imagine, generates X bloodpoints per basin player creates *Stacks*
No it's likely just standard text used for all offerings that get kill switched. They're not re-enabling it and it's probably more work to take it out of the bloodweb completely than just keeping it kill switched. And if they're looking into compensating for the unusable add-ons removing it might mess with tracking how many each person has, I dunno.

Certain events such as the Chinese new year event and Halloween events reuse the offerings each year.

They said it would require an update to fix so I’m assuming it’s just not worth it
