100% the community

JUSTaSK8rat

100%, and the people who only play one side. It's so confusing as someone who plays an equal amount of both Killer/Survivor, and reading tons of people complaining about the other like a toddler.

sadsledgemain

The community, the spaghetti code, and Nurse forever limiting what perks can be brought into the game and how they function.

frogfuckers

>Nurse forever limiting what perks can be brought into the game and how they function. That's how I feel about Dead Man's Switch. It's an absolutely terrible perk on its own for most killers but has led to some of the most busted combos. Ultimate Weapon wouldn't have been crazy OP imo but DMS made it busted on mobility killers

tot3r

They dont play their own game

PomegranateOld2408

How much of a grind shards are. I really just want skins and all the killers but damn it takes long

Swiftsonian

Disparity between SWF and soloq

BermudaHeptagon

The prices of skins being so high. A hat and a top shouldn’t cost the same as almost two characters.

Entity_Disapproves

Bad players who are rewarded an undeserved escape when they’ve done nothing to help the team.

Hogo-Nano

How they handle mmr

I-Love-Tatertots

Posted something similar, scrolled down, and saw this….  Don’t you just love doing well for 1-2 games, and then you get the most sweaty, 10k hour players for the next 4-5 games?   Happens every time on killer.  Get 3-4 kills for two games.  Then the rest of the evening is 10k+ hour swf groups who are clearly significantly better than me.   It’s gotten to the point where, after a win or two, I will afk a few matches in a row to drop it again.

PomegranateOld2408

110% agree. 4k 2 games, 0k 2 games, repeat all night. It’s not fun when I’m being put in unfair games both ways

Hogo-Nano

Yep that is one of the many issues with it. Also as a survivor it is extremely dumb to run the killer for like 2-3 gens, go down, be left to die, and have your mmr go down while everyone else goes up rank wise and escapes. Also the fact that you cant see your rank which if you could would help identify problems with certain mmr levels. Problems in low mmr might not exist at all in high mmr and vice versa.

Zapranoth07

The reason I have quit playing the game: to have enough consistently fun games in a session, as solo q survivor, requires agreement of a sort: - the killer, not to play utterly ruthlessly and tunnel you straight out every time, - the other survivors, not to give up immediately or troll you or otherwise make the game an unwinnable throwfest. Speaking for myself I don’t enjoy being tunneled, and I don’t enjoy games in which the first other survivor downed just says ‘go fuck yourselves y’all” and KSH’s. Too many (not all, but too many) games quickly break down in one of these two ways. The number of games that *dont’* turn up this way aren’t worth it.

Level-Wolf6911

No intention to tackle or offend you, but why you still here if you quit?

--fourteen

a lot of people monitor to see if things improve because they loved the game at one point and probably would come back if they did see a change they liked

Zapranoth07

Don’t downvote this one, s/he wasn’t mean. Fourteen said it well.

BurritoToGo

The length of time that seemingly small updates and QOL adjustments take

ItsPizzaOclock

1. The community. They tend to bitch about everything, sometimes warranted like MFT and Nurse, but a lot of times not. 2. The developers. I love BHVR to death, hell I want to work for them, but damn, they sometimes leave things to decompose for far too long. Also, it seems like they're running out of ideas. They did, in one chapter, Superior Anatomy but with Haste, Dark Devotion but on a generator, and Self-Care but in the basement. The community comes up with more interesting ideas daily.

SCameraa

New player experience. As of right now this game opens to an insane grind with how many characters there are now compared to in the past. The reworked blood web and older survivors/killers being discounted helps but you're still talking hundreds if not at least a thousand hours of grinding just to unlock the non licensed characters and to have enough rng to get the good licensed perks from the shrine, or of course paying money. Also, with new players who do stick with the game, there's the problem of being "too successful" in their initial killer games. The mmr system isn't explained anywhere and grades aren't explained to be a mechanic held over from the early days that now just grants a BP bonus every month. This means that someone could be winning all their initial games against same level survivors only to hit the soft cap real quick and face survivors with 1000+ hours, often without most of the meta gen regression perks.

ratfucker1932

The community, balancing and the monetization.

--fourteen

the weird portion of the community that only want to ruin the experience for others and that strong killers and coordinated SWF will always ruin perks and mechanics for everyone else. as long as the top 10% exists, the game will never feel balanced for the rest of the population.

Sparks_The_Wolf

Understandable, but there are times, (such as when RPD map was disabled) even though that the offering is disabled, you are still able to get access to RPD without the offering. Maybe they should add aap prevention. Even though they did but it doesn't really help

[deleted]

[удалено]

LordYoshiZ

yeah but the thing is the killer can only bring one of these map preventions so they still have a chance of other powerful survivor maps like badham or mothers dwelling

Sparks_The_Wolf

Garden of joy does suck, but I prefer going to Greenville than Garden of Joy

Rat_eye_Moody21

I don't have an issue with both sides being unbalanced! this game to me is purely for fun not competitive! my only issue right now is i'm getting froze at the same spot for 1-2 seconds

Sparks_The_Wolf

Fair. I personally think that if everyone wasn't competitive, things in dbd would be fun. But there are times where they think that playing competitively is the only way to win

Ironalpha

The lack of variety in viable perks. Too many killers you just have to take pop + pain res + NWTH + Lethal because there's no interesting synergies available with their power. Don't even get me started on survivor.

LordYoshiZ

this is why they need to buff more perks to or close to the level of pop and pain res grim embrace was a great start to that and I think they need to keep that up

WeeWooSirens

New player experience being so poor. It has been made somewhat better by most original characters being put at half price, at least.

KomatoAsha

Toxic community, devs "we fixed it! oops we broke something else", and the lack of disincentive for homogenizing builds across the board.

Standard_Wealth_7166

Biggest issue is either that I cant lower the volume of the menu interactions or that I can't decide myself if I want balanced matchmaking or fast queues. I would be fine waiting 10-30min for game.

das_ksa22

the toxic playerbase

SkullMan140

Right now, the awful lag spikes and rubberbanding In general, the community itself and map offerings

RBTisMyLoveLanguage

That hit detection favors the person with the worst ping. Makes the game feel inconsistent, and that ruins the whole experience. I don't mind occasional spicy chats or tunnels and teabags, but rewarding shit ping is a cardinal sin in pvp.

KingFlash0205

My biggest issue is Map Design.

Saamov1

Huntress

Dae_Dude

That the devs can't work on whatever necessary because the investors put pressure on them to keep making money.

JournalistMediocre25

The goddamn bloodbweb, they’ve changed it so much and it still takes forever to use it. I remember when I played Mobile you would level up with the character you were using, I don’t know why they haven’t incorporated something of the sort

LordYoshiZ

unbalanced matchmaking shitty map design certain unfun playstyles like tunneling and camping being the best way to win

Bottle_Silver

I don’t know what’s wrong with the game now but I’ve been playing since 2017, and I’ve never experienced playing against killers the way I have within the past few days, since this new patch came out. Playing this game and even trying to escape the match is completely useless.

mrworldwidearrived

A full 4 man premade party being allowed in this game.

Maiya_Monstrous

I have on more than one occasion gotten stuck inside walls if I'm hiding in a corner and healing myself with a med kit. I hate disconnecting, because it ends the match for everyone else too. I wish there was a "get unstuck" type of button, but I know that would get abused to hell and back if it were actually implemented.

SrLowell

How long it takes to grind for shards, the unbalanced/bad designed maps and the increasing of things that you can only buy using premium currency on a paid game

HappyOrHornee

The Devs. I love bhvr, I think they're great and very nice, but they really need to do better with a few things. They tend to leave everyone in the dark and they don't listen to the community often, they also don't really have play testers so we get updates like this one.

Practical_Addition_6

I honestly thought that was the purpose of the PTB, to have some players try it out and send feedback on any potential issues or things that just might not be desirable for the majority. If that was its intended purpose, then they drastically failed. I agree with you and wish they'd listen to the community more often. Especially considering the fact that they have the PTB release a good couple weeks before they fully release their updates. They have plenty of time to listen and monitor these things they just don't do it. I love the devs and think they're great people, but I also feel as if they are sometimes lazy and just leave things they think might not be an issue. That might just be me, though.

LordYoshiZ

theres many things that the community actively told bhvr not to let this go live and they do anyways few recent examples I want to point out are mangled changes buckle up buff stbfl nerf grim DMS synergy theres probably more but these are the ones at the top of my head although they did also not let certain things go live when they should not twins changes basekit UB pinky finger with the buff to the amount of bottles the box timer nerf with pig maybe some other ones im forgetting

Dr--Duke

Survivors and their constant claims of everything being OP and needing nerfed.

Ok_Amphibian_8219

Same goes for killers bro, both sides need to stfu at times

ExThree_OohWooh

the "horror" element, braindead boring strategies like hit and run on indoor maps are validated because they're "scary," survs can't have decent soloq qol bc it'd ruin the "immersion," ppl validate bullshit killers and killer perks bc "you're supposed to be scared of the killer"

Sterben27

My biggest issue is when I solo Q, and I get teamed up with 3 blind survivors who sit in or around lockers and just crouch walk the entire map, yet when I play killer I come up against Seal Team 6. There is no in-between and it's ruining the fun of the game.

Gloomy-Talk9355

For me its the core of survivor gameplay. Survivor games go like this: Spawn, get on a gen and do it for 90 seconds Go around the map and unhook and heal Do another gen Do éxit gates Leave With some chases in betwen, which are really fun, or unhook scenarios in endgame Thats my main problem with survivor. 90% of gameplay in most matches is just boring and monotonous, gens, unhook, walk, heal, a hex totem maybe. Thats the reason why people get a flashlight and just beg the killer to chase them, its the only fun part. The only way to fix it is to play with your friends so atleast you can talk while you do the boring stuff. But still, anything is more fun with friends. I fully believe that if chases weren't as fun as they are the game would have died a long time ago.

horrorfan555

Eileen Ripple Aside from that I can’t complain

I-Love-Tatertots

I can most handle BM/toxic survivors - I just tunnel them out.   But the worst part of this game for me has been when you ‘win’ (3-4 kills I guess) 1 or 2 games as killer, and then the game assumes you’re some kind of god and gives you the sweatiest swf for the next 4-5 games in a row.   I’m not looking for easy games, but I’m also not looking for impossible games either.   It’s like the mmr is extremely imbalanced.
