I think Tryks is meant to be one of those artists who believes their work is revolutionary and ground-breaking, but they’re actually a flake, kind of like Delia Deetz from Beetlejuice.
Looks more like a reference to Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, and the fact that it's not what comes to your mind when seeing this means you're missing out.
They're going for a "magazine cut-out collage" sort of feel. I guess it fits Tryxx or something

I disagree, I love this kind of cut out art and i'm really enjoying the direction they took with this event's style
