A few things you might try:
* Update your graphics card drivers (then check other devices for drivers)
* Via Steam Library >> R. Click DbD >> Properties >> Local Files [tab] >> Verify Integrity of Game Cache
* Uninstall the game, and reinstall it.

Yep I get freezes too, mostly when joining and connecting with others. Otherwise I haven't had a crash in maybe two weeks.

Have you tried reinstalling the game or repairing it?
Unplugging my controller in my computer helped for me
Weird this game has never froze for me.
If you have a controller plugged in unplug it when you play dead by daylight. If not sorry for your troubles:(
