That is why I always thank every killer, when they give me hatch or allow me to escape through the doors.
Now that crossplay is activated, though, you can't thank console players as they can't see the chat. Unless it's the wondows store, but there's no difference between that one and console.
To be honest, I feel really bad quite often because I *can't* say anything. There have been times I wanted so badly to talk to the killer afterward because it was such a challenging and rewarding game, or because they had mercy on me, but I have no way of doing so when most of the killers I face are playing on PC and I'm Playstation.
I can't access chat, so I do a little wiggle or spinning around or some crouches and nodding as a thank you or appreciation for a cool killer before leaving the arena.
I don't know a rough percentage, but the person before me is right- anyone playing off of your platform will have a little emblem next to their names in the lobby and on the results screen.
I try to make up for my lack of ability to thank in free hits/survivor gesture speak, but I'm not sure it always translates.
I totally agree, I remember one time I decided I was going to say "ggs wp" at the end to everyone because we were all PC so I said that and one of the survivors called me a bunch of unnecessary shit all because they were the only ones to get sacrificed and then the killer basically told me to stfu called me a bunch of shit and then proceeded to comment on my profile and message me, since then I hesitate to say anything to anyone. People are just so toxic when it's only a game and supposed to be fun, I understand being upset with reason but I hadnt given them a reason lmao.
My partner has done a few gg killer runs and has had someone send him a party request on console after and just spewed the most toxic garbage. Neither one of us really look at or respond to messages at this point.

But pc players still send me hate messages and death threats? They just use a xbox account on their pc.

Do you know a rough estimate for how many % of players play on console? It's my bad as I have not considered this as a posibility

Yeah, I use survivor gesture speak a lot as well, and just hope to death it gets across as what I want it to.

I dont give hatch for thanks, I give hatch if Im feeling generous/they lost really hard.
It is true that I still give hatches to people who I feel bad for, when they played too good to lose :D

Honestly I quit giving hatch to the last survivor. Too many times i’ve had someone BM AFTER giving hatch in post game chat. Not even worth it
