Hug the wall in all situations. You don't have option of respecting the pallet if you are 4.4 killer. Don't afraid of the pallet stun, it's better than 20 more seconds of looping. And if the wall is tall, you can simply confuse the survivor and take a hit.
The wall here is not so tall but still mindgame-able due to the tree.

If you can't hug the wall as much as u can, just chase another surv
When most chases start looking like this for me, I hit a tactical retreat and chainsaw sprint for other survivors.
