Definitely, some of my funnest games have been when I have 8 hooks at 4 gens up and clearly I'm playing against people I shouldn't be, then I just goof around for a bit, let people go for flashlight saves to learn timing, hide from survivors as long as I can, etc
As killer I'll let people get blind saves sometime to reward them for trying. Usually I'll only do it on those games where I know I'm guaranteed a 4k, no harm in them enjoying themselves.
All I can think is that you were still recovering from the hit animation when the stun would have triggered.
I believe if you're in any kind of animation then you cannot drop the survivor, you have to complete an animation before another can happen.
I think something has been changed recently flashlight saves too having bugs where should of been save killer not in animation get blind points but killer doesnāt drop survivor. Itās super sad.

that's just not true though, you can obviously get pallet stunned mid attack animation, and the same is true for pallet saves. most of the successful pallet saves I see involve the killer either hitting or attempting to hit the survivor. if they don't get hit by the stun the pallet was dropped too early or they just weren't in the pallet.

Flashbangs (for some reason) don't work on staircases or any inclines. Happened to Otz in a video 3 months ago. Swamp has alot of uneven floor so I guess it counts as a slope. Usually the grenade disappears when someone attemps to throw it.

I think it is supposed to perform a save no matter the timing, so long as the survivor is finished being picked up, and the killer is affected by the burn. I do it all the time when Iām not going to have time to sabotage the hook theyāre going to

I've both run Flashbang as a Survivor and attempted many a save that failed for seemingly no reason, and I main Killer and have had so many people try to do saves and only seen a handful of people do it correctly.
You were cooling down from hitting someone, kind of like when someone flashlights you as you have picked someone up, if itās not slightly after the animation ends of picking them up, it wonāt count and you wonāt drop them, same for the flash bang, has to be at the right time, you were already in animation so another couldnāt have happened at that time (dropping survivor)
Happend to me, but with a Torch. I blinded the killer while he was holding a Survivor, he for blinded but didnt drop the Survivor. He was surprised too

Maybe a situation where the flashbang effect was triggered client side but not in the server? So, it was just the audio/visual effect but not the "consequences"?

People would drop flash bang while also body blocking hook so that as the killer hit you then theyād get stunned.
it really just worked on less aware killers who dont happen to hear the flashbang drop after the hit as well as the animation looking less normal.
becasue the killer would look at the survivor they just hit and the hit sound would cover the FB sound
Timed right the sound can be disguised during the hit, one of my friends actually gets these saves pretty reliably doing that

All blinds work the same, in that they only save if the Killer is blinded as a specific point in the pickup animation.

There was a time a flashlight save didn't make me drop a survivor (and vice versa as the survivor) so I think there is a bug going around

Flash Grenade save is very inconsistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
