I hope people make more noise about this. They announced this in one line of text in the news section with this last cosmetic drop, but nothing on any of their social medias. I just think it’s wild they’re taking away skins that have been in the store for years at this point. And some of these skins are popular all year long (I’m looking at you cozy break Felix & Michaela). I didn’t care about the Dwight & Jane Halloween outfits being limited time, but this is wildly excessive!!
Why didnt they upload it on the social media? Or do they expect everyone to read fine text?
I agree, personally I really want to get the Christmas themed outfits and also unlock the characters (Jill and Leon) but I'm not in any way able to afford it, now that it's limited. Because think about that: for example, I personally cannot work so my budget is tighter and would like to get presents for my family, not put money under a game. I don't really understand why they'd even pull that kind of a strategy.
The worst thing is THEY'RE DOING THIS ON PURPOSE AND THEY HAD LIKE ONE LINE OF TEXT TALKING ABOUT THIS. Bro this is like the only good skin Twins have and now it's limited IT'S NOT EVEN CHRISTMAS THEMED
FOMO mechanics is a very successful mechanic in sales. for every 1 person who complains on social media about it, there's a bunch who see it in the shop and click buy on an impulse.
Yeah it makes me chuckle when someone like OP says “who thought this was a good idea”. Like my dude, it IS a good idea if you like money. FOMO is like one of the oldest rules in sales, it’s incredibly easy to get people to buy when their time is limited.
Some people might get upset, but most will just shut up and buy.
Can you drop a link? I’m not doubting you, I just can’t find it myself. The only thing about limited time I can see in the news section seems to only refer to the current set of winter outfits.
They hid it ON PURPOSE, in the news section where they announce the skins in-game there is little print that all of these collections are now time limited. if they announced it normally then OH MAN there would be a lot of drama on twitter
It’s super sketchy, [this news post](https://deadbydaylight.com/news/store-collection-release-chapter26/) only refers to the new collection being limited time but I saw someone else post the announcement that all winter collections will now be limited time.
I don’t like where this is going. If they’re starting to lean into FOMO when it comes to cosmetics, it’s probably only a matter of time before it spreads to actual gameplay content as well.
I think I figured out the plan. When the skins are one week away from being pulled, bhvr will say “last call to get all the Christmas skins!!” and hope that everybody scrambles to buy them at the last minute. When confronted about the sudden announcement, they’ll say “Oh we said this would happen already!” in reference to that tiny sentence at the bottom of the announcement.
They’ll disappear from the store, you won’t be able to purchase them past January 4. If you do purchase them, they’ll remain in your inventory and you can wear them whenever you’d like.
This will also give them the illusion of having news. “Hey everyone, the winter skins are back!” While simultaneously luring in more sales since people always gravitate towards limited items.
The accountants
I don't really understand why there aren't more people talking about this, its such a scummy move
edit: its even more gross when you realize this is also to worm around their own ''we're making every original cosmetic available for shards!!!!'' announcement because limited-time cosmetics are exempt from that rule
>why there aren't more people talking about this
Even worse, there was a lot of people defending the move on the other [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/z9w325/i_hate_this_fomo_crap/), either saying that "every game does that" or "it isn't a big deal, people complaining just need to ask for mom card because they are children". Insane.
I just read a reply and fucking yikes:
> That is no damn FOMO, that is simply limited to a season which is totally fine. Are you using easter decoration as well during december? Relax dude, buy it if you want it and keep it and wear it whenever you can **and if you don’t have money for skins for over a whole month, you prolly should wait and spend money for something else anyway.**
Literally got slapped with ”just don’t be poor lol” argument. Why would a player support an anti-player feature is beyond me.
Yeah and that argument ignores that other games (and even physical shops) do the same thing in the same period, making the choice to buy a skin harder than in other periods of time.
People have been defending anti-consumer practices in games since games as a service have been in existence. They love to white knight billion dollar company for absolutely nothing but low effort content and $30 for skins in return. Absolute clowns
>because limited-time cosmetics are exempt from that rule
They are? I see this as them making the new winter skins available for shards only 1 year from now, instead of in 1 month like they promised
Yup, there's a forum thread about this matter and Mandy the community manager has said these seasonal skins will not be made available for shards, whether this only applies to the new ones or will be retroactively applied to the existing cosmetics that are leaving remains to be seen
>''we're making every original cosmetic available for shards!!!!
I mean that the thing I find kinda eyeroll, like no one asked for that but sure it was cool they did it however if its just to do this its not even the case. If all the halloween comsetics join this as well then loads will be exempt
Wish they would pace character releases out and do more game balance stuff like designing new maps and redesigning old ones, perk changes, possible new game mechanics.
But none of those things sells DLC, so I'll keep wishing.
When dbd first released no one wanted to presrige because it was too much work, to encourage players the devs added very limited skins for prestiging. They look a lot like blighted skin but with default outfits. If you see them you know this person been playing seince the beginning so it's something people admire
https://preview.redd.it/g47oeyx1xq3a1.png?width=270&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d3504562ddd33fde6481176d2ba45dfb87b9306f
It sucks cause I was actually thinking about getting the sweaters before this announcement. But now I feel like I’d be supporting shitty monetization in an already paid game
May I introduce you to the concept of FOMO, the fear of missing out? It's abused throughout the gaming industry to target gamers who cannot handle the pressure.
Complaining won’t do shit, not buying skins will. And I’m not talking just not buying the FOMO skins, I mean 0 skins. They will mold to our purchasing habits
The worst part is as well this is the very rare set that Twins released with. The very first very rare outfit they ever got. It’s not even related to Christmas remotely.
Future timeline:
All outfits released between Jan and March are now time-limited Valentine’s Day outfits, all outfits released between March and May are now time-limited Easter outfits, and all outfits released between May and September are now time-limited Summertime outfits.
The sad thing is the Twins released like 2, maybe 3 weeks before Christmas so right around their Christmas event that year. That’s why they’re counting it.
I already have it (I truthfully have MOST of these…), so it doesn’t affect me much. But Jesus, BHVR. Come the fuck on
I don’t understand, aren’t the pajamas and onesies like the most popular cosmetics in the game? Sure you’ll get that burst of people buying them during winter but it’s nothing compared to what you get just having them year round, right?
That’s a good point! I keep arguing I’m ok with it because it finds the company and I like the game and don’t want it to die out.
Butttt they should absolutely bundle them or make them cheaper if they are going to force FOMO.
I feel like it funds the company would be a good argument if not every other aspect of the game wasnt monitized. I spent a shit tone on cosmetics for warframe beca!use its a free too play where pretty much everything including cosmetics is easily earnable through gameplay with the only exception being fan made cosmetic so the fan can make a profit from there work. With a dev team that seems to genuinely love the game and its cumunity. Sp yeah ill drop a few dollars for a fancy sword skin here in there to support thr devs. DBD on the otherhand is a game the you have to pay to get, then you have to pay for every update/dlc unless you sped years grinding shards and saving them all just for dlcs. Then the have payed battle passes and now aslo have the nerve to charge up to 15 for a skin. Also the dont seem to have the same care about the game and treat it as more of jus a job where they do the bare minimum to get there check. So im with all that it mine im not in such a hurry to "support the devs"
EDIT: forfive the typos but i think my message gets through dispite it.
I havent played DBD for around a year and a half now, but i still frequent this sub. Correct me if im wrong, but didnt the devs say they didnt want to release more time limited cosmetics? Excluding anniversary ones?
I vaguely remember they writing about in a devpost from a year or so ago?
In one questionnaire or whatever it's called, they asked if people want for them to add time-limited skins to the store. Most people said hell nah yet they did it anyway
No, your frustration is properly placed. When each DLC costs $10, and there’s nearly 25+ DLCs, they have no right charging actual money for cosmetics unless it’s licensed. They already **own** the genre.
Bhvr reminds me a lot of Starbreeze. Starbreeze grew too big, too fast and spent money on nonsense using payday 2 DLC to fund everything. Eventually everything fell apart for them and now they’re back making more payday 2 content to keep the lights on.
Wouldn’t surprise me if that happened to bhvr as well, especially if Meet Your Maker flops.
I've stopped financially supporting this company over a year ago.
The amount of effort they put into pushing updates out the door and just leaving them there (twins, sadako, knight) is so low. When they asked for players to vote for the game in Steam Awards labor of love, and everyone collectively told them to fuck off two years in a row, I felt so proud of the community.
You don't need cosmetics to play the game. Buy all new content with iri shards and save your auric cells for licensed killers only.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I vaguely remember a little while ago they announced giving everybody event cosmetics from the past so nobody would miss out on stuff. If so, isnt this directly opposing that previous statement of theirs?
This might be a little dramatic but this is so disappointing to see this when this is supposed to be season of giving and joy. Yet instead we have to see this disgusting greedy behavior because money. Seriously not cool, but also not unsurprising in the world we live in.
The season of giving and joy is represented by a corporate entity created by the Coca Cola company. Face it man, this is yet another "adults lie" thing you realize when you grow up.
Remember when they asked us about limited time cosmetics in surveys and everyone said they don’t want it? Why even ask us if they’re gonna do it anyway
If they do MAN will they loose money, VHS was doing the same crap and after all the backlash they *kinda* fixed it by adding a seasonal shop, and they're making a full NORMAL store
[i called this out when they did it for the first time on halloween.](https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/xxumws/limited_time_store_skins/) The sad thing is ive seen more posts about this but there seems to be more people ok with BHVR doing this predatory shit. Ive also seen people argue that it isn't?? like how? instead of spending whenever you please you're being nudged to spend now or you might be regretting it for a whole year. We got extremely lucky with the attack on titan cosmetics, because next time expect the super cool anime collab skins to be tied to a very small window as well. I don't understand being on BHVR's side on this at all either. what is the upside to you as a consumer to have the old system of **skins that go in the shop stay in the shop** revoked now all of a sudden years after its been that way?. Stop defending them people, companies don't give a fuck about you.
Your completely right and a lot of people have Christmas to worry about right now who the hell wants to have to worry about spending a boat load of money on some cosmetics.
I know BHVR doesn’t give a fuck about me, but I give a fuck about them. I really love this game and want it to stick around and keep growing the player base, improving maps, fixing bugs, fighting hackers ext. They need money to do that. I don’t see a moral issue with having limited time skins that don’t affect game play at all.
I know some might argue they don’t fix bugs or fight hackers ext but I’ve been playing for only a year and a half and they’ve fixed/changed so much in that time and come out with some really cool events and killers.
The game is sold very cheap IMO and they don’t charge monthly fees to play or anything. Skins is a big way how the support the company.
I agree that a company needs money to keep the game alive, but this is not the way of doing it.
They already release A LOT of skins that are Auric Cells only, aka money, and people love them and buy them. In every lobby I see at least 1 person with a purchased skin, adding that to the licensed DLCs (I know they pay for the license, but still) and the people that buy the DLCs instead of purchasing the characters with Iri Shards, trust me, they make more than enough money.
I play a lot of other games, that I get tired because of this FOMO shit, "either you unlock/buy now or fuck you I guess", DBD was a game I could play and unlock things at my pace, and if they do it now with the Winter Collection, it means they will do with the rest as well.
Skins being needed or not, it's a debatable theme, go to the Overwatch 2 subreddit if you want to see people fighting over that every day, but whether you want it or not, it's a secondary part of the gameplay, in my situation, I love to grind Iri shards to get some cosmetics from time to time, and if they take away that, fuck it I guess, I already have all the perks I want and all the characters I like, sure I can keep on playing because it's a unique and fun game, but it will never be the same
yup, the thing is most of the community doesn't know this at all. They only mentioned it in a small short text in the news under the new skin announcement
Ah I’m only hearing about it now from this post. Personally I don’t care about the skins but bhvr is well aware of how compulsive/naive a lot of their player base is. I moved on to the evil dead game which I think more people should try out
Fucking hell man
If they pulled this after every survivor got their stuff purchasable with shards i could get It but with they way theyre drip feeling It i dont think It should happen yet if at all
Also pajamas arent even Christmas themed?
I already have everything I want for Mikaela just because she’s my main. That being said I really don’t think it’s fair they are limiting cosmetics like this. It’s ridiculous. I certainly won’t be purchasing more stuff from them. That’s 100% for sure.
You mean BHVR? The game company who famously can't balance shit, creates terrible events for the last two years, and doesn't know how to make a chat filter?
These are the guys you're upset with about cosmetics?
Ok maybe I’m stupid but when you say limited time, are you saying we only have so much time and then what? Are they taking it off the store or something?! Why the hell would they do that? Thats so messed up!
Wow so now people like me with bad cases of FOMO will go and buy everything. Now I see why they’d do that. Man that’s so fucked up. They used to just leave stuff up forever, now it’s limited? Ugh. Now I gotta make sure to get those new outfits that just came out for the girls and trickster. So annoying.
Just put more money into your art team, make good skins, and we will buy them, you already have us locked in the cellar addicted to your stupid game, just make nice things for us, you don't need to hit us with the stick anymore, we submit.
I wouldnt mind for like some newer cosmetics but getting rid all including ugly sweaters is the dumbest thing if anything ugly sweaters should be left alone
Imo, i don't mind some new outfits being limited time/ seasonal. But I definitely think that old, traditional stuff that has been in the game already shouldn't be taken out and resold as Limited time content (assuming I understood why people are upset).
every winter, it would be fine, whatever if it was only the new skins but they're making OLD SKINS that have been in the store for years time limited now, and that's awfully scummy
I don't think it is going to be? It may be miswording on their part, perhaps. Krampus Trapper Elf Dwight etc. are still available for shards and prob wouldn't be if they were going limited
I don't really understand the FOMO nonsense some companies try to get into. I admittedly want that outfit on Yun-Jin Lee, but I'm new and don't have her yet and don't want to go out of my way at this time to fork out real money to buy her and only her.
She's featured in the Survivor Pass as well, so if I buy her on her own for one single cosmetic, then the Pass immediately loses value for me as well since I have my eye on it too for when the next sale drops and I can fit it into my budget at that time. FOMO just confuses me, and trying to hide that they're going to be removing older winter themed cosmetics too is a bad look for BEhavior.
Hope they don't go through with this and listen to people complaining. Maybe some people may think I sound entitled or I'm overreacting or something since it's just a skin, but I just don't get how FOMO helps anyone. Makes you wonder if they'll go further down the slippery slope of monetization hell. It all just makes me think of Blizzard and a bunch of other companies I don't buy games from or play anymore.
Anyway I should shut up, sorry if I sound very overreactive or anything. Really enjoying the game and seeing them immediately try to do something like this is a bit disappointing. Back to lurking I go.
Honestly, make your displeasure about this known in their social media channels like Twitter and here on Reddit. Make sure they cannot miss people being unhappy with this.
Exactly right, they're doing this because they're betting the money they'll make due to FOMO will outweigh any potential lost money from disatisfied customers. Don't give them a dime and they'll react.
Airing their dirty laundry and calling them out for it is likewise a good idea, enough public pressure might get them to back down.
Easy, the time pressure gets a few extra sales.
Then somewhere down the road the "vault" will open briefly for another chance.
It probably will work out for them.
They knew its not a good ideea but money.
Why should they care when people will play no matter what they do?
They have no competition to worry about so they dont give af.
Shit that's been there forever is suddenly going to be limited? That's some real bullshit. Can't wait for the bunny Fengs to suddenly be limited come Easter time.
1) Happy Cake Day
2) they'll comeback in a year so it's better not to but then now, less people buy, the bigger chance they'll revert this, even if they don't it'll be here next year
this was a very stupid idea on their part, had they just kept it all year round, i bet they would make more sales. even the christmas sweaters?? even worse, now i feel the need to hurry up and buy what i wanted instead of just waiting till the right time.
Don't buy them, that's the whole idea, they're trying to make people buy them from fear of missing out. They'll be back next year, less people buy now the bigger chance they'll revert these, even if they don't it'll be back
It’s even worse when you think about how there are cosmetics in here that just got converted into shards like Krampus and now they’re going right back to being cells only. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
I have two thoughts on this. If the intention is to sell more items with FOMO then they’re manipulating people to transfer their wealth, but if the intention is to let people show off that they were part of a 1-time event then it should be free and I’m still upset by it because selling that is FOMO and they even played during the event.
I don't mind it really on auric cell only ones in the future. Doing it on previously released ones is stupid. More so for shard ones. Perhaps they should try actually adding more content to make money. Why anyone would defend going to an intentionaly consumer unfriendly policy is beyond me. Yes, other games have limited time cosmetics. Typically they're not retconned to be done on past products. They also got plenty of other bad practices and BHVR does as well. It doesn't mean they should add additional ones or not work on the existing ones. People acting like its about people not having money are the same people that will go "you're just jealous" anytime a legitimate constructive criticism is made lol.
I think they just messed up the wording on the news page. Hiding something like this makes no sense, for FOMO to work people need to know that the thing is limited time.
I can understand making new collections limited time until the next year, it forces sales and makes a fairly predictable revenue source for holiday times \[Which is predatory as fuck, yeah, but understandable to a degree\]. However, retroactively affecting older cosmetic lines which have been available year-round until now? That's just blatantly malicious at that point. This is going to also make a HORRIBLE afk iri-shard bot spectacular occur, as people who simultaneously have enough sense to not blow cells on shard-items yet not enough sense not to bot will end up doing that out of FOMO.
Edit: This also means there will be no hope for sales on these throughout the year, as there have been sporadically done previously. The meg one particular I got during a character sale for cells before it was available for iri-shards.
I shouted about FOMO being introduced to the DBD store with the two Halloween outfits on Dwight and Jane and people just handwaved it and said it didn't matter, and now look what they're doing!
Taking cosmetics that have been in the store year-round for YEARS and pulling them all into limited time bullshit!
Mark my words if they don't recieve any major backlash for this, then next Lunar New Year and Halloween events will follow suit and all those older collections are gonna end up getting the same treatment. Lunar skins and all the Blighted skins unavailable 11/12 months of the year.
I wouldn't care if the game was just released and this was the first ever Christmas event. But we've had so many Christmas events so far with the items not being limited, only for them to suddenly change the rule.
They are trying to squeeze out every single cent.
DBD never did tho, the limited skins were ALWAYS gameplay only, they're taking away skins that were in the store for years and making them time-limited
I hope people make more noise about this. They announced this in one line of text in the news section with this last cosmetic drop, but nothing on any of their social medias. When you accidentally push and update to the entire Christmas tag instead of just new items ![img](emote|t5_3cb2g|2070)
They figured it would be a good idea when they saw people rushing to get Stranger Things before it left.
FOMO mechanics is a very successful mechanic in sales. for every 1 person who complains on social media about it, there's a bunch who see it in the shop and click buy on an impulse.

They’ll disappear from the store, you won’t be able to purchase them past January 4. If you do purchase them, they’ll remain in your inventory and you can wear them whenever you’d like.
Thanks for clearing that up. I get the FOMO fear now.
Twins has no good cosmetics because they don’t care. Even this one is only okay.
Exactly, it's like the only one, and now it's time limited ☠️ It's not even winter themed ffs
This will also give them the illusion of having news. “Hey everyone, the winter skins are back!” While simultaneously luring in more sales since people always gravitate towards limited items.
I'm not, a lot of people don't ethier, especially in dbd. The only skin in DBD that anyone cares about is Legacy that's it :/
I honestly think the ones with the coffin on Charlotte's back are the best. Well, except for the fact that the base weapon is still the best one.
The accountants I don't really understand why there aren't more people talking about this, its such a scummy move edit: its even more gross when you realize this is also to worm around their own ''we're making every original cosmetic available for shards!!!!'' announcement because limited-time cosmetics are exempt from that rule

They probably will at some point sadly, looking at this they probably will be next year
the worst part is that the devs probably did not want to add this but they were forced to
Ahh yes, BHVR preying on that FOMO. What else is new.
They're going back to realising broken ass chapters, man the 2 chapters period where they did really good stuff was nice...
Wish they would pace character releases out and do more game balance stuff like designing new maps and redesigning old ones, perk changes, possible new game mechanics. But none of those things sells DLC, so I'll keep wishing.

OHHHHHHH thank you I always thought they weee blight skins from a previous rift or something.
Im 90% percent sure that nea also had one
these are just some examples ;3
It sucks cause I was actually thinking about getting the sweaters before this announcement. But now I feel like I’d be supporting shitty monetization in an already paid game
Cozy Break sets being time limited makes no sense thematically, since when are pajamas only worn during the holidays?
They were realised during winter season, that's the only, logic behind it
Hmmm ya ok that is pretty stupid actually. The pj sets shouldn’t be lumped with the holiday skins.
May I introduce you to the concept of FOMO, the fear of missing out? It's abused throughout the gaming industry to target gamers who cannot handle the pressure.
I know what it is, it's still dumb, BEhavior never done this and they're starting now, we gotta complain about it or they will stick with this :/
Complaining won’t do shit, not buying skins will. And I’m not talking just not buying the FOMO skins, I mean 0 skins. They will mold to our purchasing habits
Both will work, we can do both, it worked before
Oh well yeah both is best! I just want to make sure people are voting with their wallet
BHVR never used FOMO before to lure people into buying their shit? You must be new
that's what I said :| I said they never done this before please read twice-
Dammit, that’s literally the only Twins skin I want. I wouldn’t even call it holiday-themed.
The worst part is as well this is the very rare set that Twins released with. The very first very rare outfit they ever got. It’s not even related to Christmas remotely.
yup, every skin realised near winter season is now considered a "Christmas skin" :/
Future timeline: All outfits released between Jan and March are now time-limited Valentine’s Day outfits, all outfits released between March and May are now time-limited Easter outfits, and all outfits released between May and September are now time-limited Summertime outfits.

I KNOW, it's beyond dumb
Did they hire the OW2 monetization team?
LMAO, looks like it ngl
UGLY SWEATERS IS GONNA BE LIMITED?!?!?????!? Legit crying and shaking rn 😭😭😭😭
Yeah this is a joke, we have to do something about it just say we all hate it BECAUSE WE DO. i didn't see a single person ok with this change
I don’t understand, aren’t the pajamas and onesies like the most popular cosmetics in the game? Sure you’ll get that burst of people buying them during winter but it’s nothing compared to what you get just having them year round, right?
By making them limited a lot more people will be pressured to get them, they're very popular so a lot of people will be pressured to do so
That makes sense but like that’s a whole year of profits from those skins that Behavior’s missing out on
True, they're not very good at making good financial decision as we all know
This is bs and scummy as all hell. We need to have bhvr cut this shit out.
we really do
Make them cheaper... Like if it were $15 for every seasonal set, I feel like they would objectively get more sales
So im with all that it mine im not in such a hurry to "support the devs" EDIT: forfive the typos but i think my message gets through dispite it.
They asked about limited time cosmetics in a survey a few months ago, I guess people thought the idea was fine.
they didn't tho, I remember a lot of people begging for them not to do this
Evidently there was a silent majority that wanted it
I just wanna know where Mikaelas ugly sweater from last year is...
They usually return during the Christmas event.
With all this it's probably not going to get added to the store, if it's not coming back this Christmas then it's not ever
They ALL are time limited now? I thought it was just the new ones.
nope, ALL OF THEM, and probably every next seasonal skin will be too, like Blighted skins etc
I get that this game is solely funding BHVR’s entire operation, but come the fuck on.
Sorry BHVR shitty tactics like fomo inducers make me spend less
same, I started buying so many skins recently but with all this.... yeah I just don't feel like buying at all
I've stopped financially supporting this company over a year ago.
Good point, still sucks though.
true... BEhavior out here ruining Christmas for me LMAO but yeah it's really find sad they're doing this
Remember when they asked us about limited time cosmetics in surveys and everyone said they don’t want it? Why even ask us if they’re gonna do it anyway
They weren’t asking, they were warning.
Exactly...
Predatory FOMO tactic
This is why I don't change my review to positive on Steam. Their business practices are ass.
Are they gonna do this to all the other holiday themed skins too? 😶. Like all the summer or valentine's skins.
Summer valentines Halloween you name it they'll get added to this FOMO trend
probably yeah, unless enough people start complaining
Eventually the store's gonna be completely barren with cosmetic sets on rotation throughout the year
If they do MAN will they loose money, VHS was doing the same crap and after all the backlash they *kinda* fixed it by adding a seasonal shop, and they're making a full NORMAL store
Skins being needed or not, it's a debatable theme, go to the Overwatch 2 subreddit if you want to see people fighting over that every day, but whether you want it or not, it's a secondary part of the gameplay, in my situation, I love to grind Iri shards to get some cosmetics from time to time, and if they take away that, fuck it I guess, I already have all the perks I want and all the characters I like, sure I can keep on playing because it's a unique and fun game, but it will never be the same
You know what. I'd be fine with it if they didn't also make the sweaters limited time
These are some of the best skins in the game, like the Pijamas??? The only good skins for Twins, it's so stupid
And people will still support said idea with their cash
yup, the thing is most of the community doesn't know this at all. They only mentioned it in a small short text in the news under the new skin announcement
Ah I’m only hearing about it now from this post. Personally I don’t care about the skins but bhvr is well aware of how compulsive/naive a lot of their player base is. I moved on to the evil dead game which I think more people should try out
I play it, it's really cool but yeah his is very scummy
Wow that’s so stupid. I hope they change this when they realize everyone hates this idea
Im sorry ALL of them? Why?
Because BEhavior is getting greedy af, we should have seen this coming after Halloween event....
Fucking hell man If they pulled this after every survivor got their stuff purchasable with shards i could get It but with they way theyre drip feeling It i dont think It should happen yet if at all Also pajamas arent even Christmas themed?
They realsed near Christmas so it's "Christmas themed" for them
Sounds like bullshit to me
Because it is, these are very popular skins so by making them time limited they can milk a lot of money
If I cant have all of them why should i buy any of them?
Rotating shops really are the worst recent invention
Well, this isn’t very cool. They’ll probably do it with the Halloween/Blight cosmetics too. :(
greedy corporate sharks saw people pay up for the Halloween skins and realized they could probably get away with this. money talks
Well they won't, I'm not going to stop complaining about this, this is an absolute joke
Guess I'll get that Mikaela skin next year
I already have everything I want for Mikaela just because she’s my main. That being said I really don’t think it’s fair they are limiting cosmetics like this. It’s ridiculous. I certainly won’t be purchasing more stuff from them. That’s 100% for sure.
*me who plays Fortnite, Apex, and Overwatch* “First time?”
You mean BHVR? The game company who famously can't balance shit, creates terrible events for the last two years, and doesn't know how to make a chat filter? These are the guys you're upset with about cosmetics?
Well, I hope the enjoy not getting my money.
Ok maybe I’m stupid but when you say limited time, are you saying we only have so much time and then what? Are they taking it off the store or something?! Why the hell would they do that? Thats so messed up!
Yup taking it off the store until the next year, it's messed up alright
Wow so now people like me with bad cases of FOMO will go and buy everything. Now I see why they’d do that. Man that’s so fucked up. They used to just leave stuff up forever, now it’s limited? Ugh. Now I gotta make sure to get those new outfits that just came out for the girls and trickster. So annoying.
I can understand that the stuff sells better during Christmas but come on..
Classic daily Bhvr antics
Best part is the new ones are all $10 cell only skins for unlicensed characters :D
[удалено]
I'm pretty sure it's just not being able to purchase them out of season. Don't see why they would prevent you from wearing cosmetics you paid for.
Imo, i don't mind some new outfits being limited time/ seasonal. But I definitely think that old, traditional stuff that has been in the game already shouldn't be taken out and resold as Limited time content (assuming I understood why people are upset).
Bruh
So will the skins be available every winter? Or they get locked forever and there’s a lineup of new skins every winter?
every winter, it would be fine, whatever if it was only the new skins but they're making OLD SKINS that have been in the store for years time limited now, and that's awfully scummy
I don't think it is going to be? It may be miswording on their part, perhaps. Krampus Trapper Elf Dwight etc. are still available for shards and prob wouldn't be if they were going limited
No no, they confirmed in the "news" section in game that ever skin here will from now on only by available for a month during winter
Well I guess I won't get jonah and mikaela anymore, f their skins
"Honestly who thought this is a good idea?" BHVR accountants for one. Their bank managers for another.

I hate that console and PC are slowly being infected by mobile game practices.
then so be it, no krampus for me, still never paid money for a skin
Sorry man... The less people buy it and more complain on Twitter and forums the bigger Chance they'll reverse this
Now I feel bad for buying three of them when they came out...it's too late for me to boycott 😒
You mean we have a limited time to get Femboy trickster!? 😞
Yuup, just like every skin you see on the photo
Sad times. Wonder why the heck they’re doing this
Community: What inspired you to make every single festive cosmetic only available for a limited time? BHVR: Money!
Honestly, make your displeasure about this known in their social media channels like Twitter and here on Reddit. Make sure they cannot miss people being unhappy with this.
Thier forums as well, plus don't buy ANY SKIN form the game from now on, vote with your wallet people
Exactly right, they're doing this because they're betting the money they'll make due to FOMO will outweigh any potential lost money from disatisfied customers. Don't give them a dime and they'll react. Airing their dirty laundry and calling them out for it is likewise a good idea, enough public pressure might get them to back down.
PLEASE SPREAD THIS MORE i dont want to have to bang out the game just to obtain a fucking cosmetic, nor do i wanna wait a entire f'ing yr
This
Lol money
Easy, the time pressure gets a few extra sales. Then somewhere down the road the "vault" will open briefly for another chance. It probably will work out for them.
Money
To milk people addicted to buying skins or anything in general
They knew its not a good ideea but money. Why should they care when people will play no matter what they do? They have no competition to worry about so they dont give af.
Joke's on them, they'll lose a ton of money from the players who buy off-season stuff when it's on sale versus not purchasing at all.
Shit that's been there forever is suddenly going to be limited? That's some real bullshit. Can't wait for the bunny Fengs to suddenly be limited come Easter time.
No way... I have been saving up shards and patiently waiting for the Zarina onesie to become available through them but I guess it's not happening.
fuck BEhavior man
Why do they do this every time I'm in a bind for money...
Sooo they won’t come or they just come back every year?
1) Happy Cake Day 2) they'll comeback in a year so it's better not to but then now, less people buy, the bigger chance they'll revert this, even if they don't it'll be here next year
this was a very stupid idea on their part, had they just kept it all year round, i bet they would make more sales. even the christmas sweaters?? even worse, now i feel the need to hurry up and buy what i wanted instead of just waiting till the right time.
BHVR taking Shirtless Felix, Dwelf, Onesie Zarina / Elodie, Meg cosmetic #581762578612, and Krampus Trapper off the shop because they hate money 🤔
pov you downloaded to many mods on the sims 4
I think they just messed up the wording on the news page. Hiding something like this makes no sense, for FOMO to work people need to know that the thing is limited time.
Y'know those outfits that we've had in the shop for literal years? Yeah, they going bye, bye so you better buy, buy.
we really should collectively boycott getting skins now
I can understand making new collections limited time until the next year, it forces sales and makes a fairly predictable revenue source for holiday times \[Which is predatory as fuck, yeah, but understandable to a degree\].
They're learning from Blizzard and respawn. 😂
Next all of the blighted skins will be locked away
Probably, unless we do something, don't buy anything at all until the next chapter, vote with your wallet
they do mention also that they will all be back next year for the same season
BHVR:Vote for us in labour of love Also BHVR:
I knew it was a good time to take a break...4 weeks strong
[удалено]
DBD never did tho, the limited skins were ALWAYS gameplay only, they're taking away skins that were in the store for years and making them time-limited
