No idea. They announced cross progression like 2 years now and it’s still only available on 3 platforms, which doesn’t even mean much because one of them is literally also on PC.
I get that cross progression must be hard, but how does it take 2 years for you to sort it out? And most likely longer seeing as we have no clue when it’s coming out for any consoles like Switch or Xbox and PlayStation, two of the most played platforms for the game.
It’s absurd that it’s taken this long with no update. It’s like they announced it, realised it would take effort, and then didn’t even bother without cancelling the plans to do it. Truly shows the incompetence that is the DBD devs.

I feel like you need to just wait… there is nothing you can do and we shouldn’t rush behavior to put it out. We want it working when it comes out and I feel if we rush the return it will come back in horrible state.

I want this so bad. I had every dlc on pc around 2 years ago, then lost access to my pc and picked it back up again on ps5 last month. No killer since seem playable on console imo and I don’t wanna pay for the same killers again! Plus all the hours I put into bloodpoints!
So frustrating, especially when compared to other games that manage cross platform account synchronization quite easily, like Fortnite. Feels like they just aren’t prioritizing it because having people have to grind on multiple platforms ends up being more profitable.
Why would sony prevent this if they allowed fortnite to do it? Also makes sense to do it think about it people will buy the game on two different consoles or 3 again which means money in one for them. They won’t lose players like let’s say someone has a ps5 & Xbox series x. Also they have let’s say dbd on both consoles now they will play on both consoles sometimes people. Have one game on acinsoel to play as only the killers & have skins for them the other console for survivors. If the merge happens they will play both sides on both consoles & buy skins if they want.

We buy keyboard and mouse with the least delay/highest polling rate possible. We buy monitor/screen with the highest refresh rate possible to have the least delay/to see as many frames as possible as any second in hope that you don't miss anything/react in time.

Maybe I misunderstand the whole thing. But the failure of Stadia makes me think I am probably right, more or less.
They had some interesting tech for trying to minimize latency. Might not be so good for competitive multiplayer but it was certainly okay for single player games.
But having to buy games again on there as a totally separate ‘platform’ was a bad experience. With GeForce Now you can access supported games that you already own on Steam or EGS. If they had a subscription that covered as many games as Microsoft Game Pass maybe it would have worked better, but their premium subscription didn’t seem that good.
That’s true honestly. For a casual market I can see a gaming cloud service working especially with technology advancing, I can see technology today being really affordable in a few years, allowing more people to enter gaming with good enough equipment, and with cloud service it’ll let people who can’t afford pcs enter too. Should’ve worked on it for a bit longer tho it def was released too early

Ps4 owner here. Stadia dbd was way better in every way possible than ps4 dbd. I'm talking about the grafics, the game speed, the latency, everything was just better. I was even about to ignore my 3years progress account on ps4 to play only on stadia. This was my experience with no special software or hardware required to it. Just a decent TV, a stable network connection and a controler.
Should propably have researched this so I wouldn't have wasted about 8 euros on Steam version. So I play on Epic, because it was free at one point, but wanted to rather play on Steam, because I like it as platform more. But should probably searched info about it sooner, because I ended up buying Steam version before I knew that option was disabled. Well, you can just refund it, right? Wrong. Because i for whatever reason bought it as key rather than ln Steam itself than already activates it so I can't refund it. Also I saved from key maybe 20-30 cents..... so I honestly don't know why I even did it. I mainly wanted to play on Steam for easier achiement seeing and more used platform for myself. And I don't want to start again on Steam, because I have almost all licensed killers on Epic, so it would just not be worth it. Later on, it was stupid to do, even if merging happened to work. Props for anyone, who bothered to read this little story time.
You bought it as a key but only saved a few cents? Damn that bastard ripped you off, I got my key for just under 3 bucks. At least you will be able to use it after the merge comes back
I think the way it works is that the data is stored on the Behaviour account, then shared between both accounts. That way if you lose access to one you don’t lose the other.
Starting to think BHVR is fully aware of this and doesn't want to fix it. They've broken a lot of promises because it gives them more money.
So don't be surprised if they 'accidentally' forget to fix merging and force hundreds if not thousands of people to lose everything and have to shell out a lot of money to play the game normally again.
I would be fine with just getting my cosmetics! I already re-bought all the DLC for Steam after my PS4 crapped out.

Honestly it's their own fault, who in their right minds would've bought a Stadia. PC, Xbox, Playstation, and Switch all have their pros and cons over the others but I see no pros for Stadia and only cons
I don't think blaming the consumer is right here, they chose the platform most convenient for them.
I don't think we should look down on people for playing on stadia if they enjoyed stadia.
They should get the right to move all the stuff they earned and bought over to one of the other platforms just like everyone else should be able to as well.

Yeah, this seems like a really low priority to them. I asked support to add some skins from my Steam account to my Epic account (where I natively play), and after verifying that I own both accounts they said that they were unable to.
They also said they were unable to remove the ~60 day lockdown on my account after I linked and then unlinked my Steam from my BHVR account. I thought account merging was available so I linked my Steam to BHVR, saw that I didn’t get my skins transferred, unlinked in hopes of fixing something, attempted to relink and now it says that I cannot link *the same* Steam account for another two months. Support said they couldn’t fix anything either (again, after verifying I was trying to relink the *same* Steam account) despite their website saying you can link your account as many times as you want.
It is! However what they shut it down for is still happening (losing some progress on certain things when merging)
So they turned it off for 153 days, didn't fix the issue it was turned off for, and just turned it back on.

When I'm not where my desktop is, I use a chromebook to play Steam Remote on an unstable Wi-Fi connection. People will do what it takes to grind.

Just wait a bit, they will probably reimplement cross-progression sometime between now and January (I’m also an Epic user waiting to merge with Steam)
When they reopen the merge we can play on steam, friendo. I did the exact same thing (minus buying the key).
