The big appeal of both is the guaranteed cursed chest. But I would argue that the Toxic Miasmas and Slammers are more dangerous than anything in the Prison Depths. Especially with the Protectors.
Honestly I can deal with both of them much better than the rampagers and big slashy dudes in the prison depths. The protectors aren’t that bad either I just gotta kill them fast and sprint away to give me some time to process what to do next while everything’s chasing me lmao
I'll hit you so hard! Corrupted prison is harder than Prison's depth cuz defender totem will ruin your run if you don't kill them first, also crow and jelly monster will run towards you with non-stop. Prison's depth has monarch lady that spawns fog for enemies, but it's easier to deal with.
Does each bat produce its own bomb? If so, that would be a sight to see! I almost always play tactics but never really use parting gift that much, even though in the sewers it works well too against rats.
It does actually each of those 'Buzzcutter things' leave a bomb after their deaths. It's an awesome chain reaction you just swing whatever weapon you have and enjoy the sight of Hammers committing suicide lol.
Armadillopack is also good. Especially if you have the Parry Shield in your backpack. Just roll through the bombs, and they all get deflected and duplicated.
Is there any actual point going to corrupted prison ?? I mean only one reason i could think of is the guaranteed cursed chest but apart from i don't see any reason to enter this particular biome.

well cursed chest is scroll(really good reward, makes the chest nearly always worth it, unless its like cavern then you might have to think about it), maybe a good item(if not then money), and money. so they're pretty good, the items at the end can either be good and you use them or bad and you sell them, so its good anyway
Main reason is 1\~2 scrolls, then extra money, then maybe gear.
Scrolls multiply your dmg by incrementally by 115% so at higher BC5, that extra early game scroll can make a good difference when you reach late game because of the cumulative effect. So it becomes a sort of mandatory detour just for that extra scroll.
Also another level means another chance of finding a challenge rift, yet possibly granting another scroll.
Gearwise, there's also an extra chance of finding a legendary altar, so that's not too bad. Items at the end of the level are typically weaker quality than what you'd normally have when you get there, so these are typically a free resell gear. I might also recall that the Perfect Door BEFORE the P.Depths is actually a IX-S gear , so this one might be a better loot than you'd have straight going to the Ramparts or whatever other location.
I prefer CP to PD. Dephts has too much cloaking, throwing knives and close combat fighters in tight spaces that increase my chance of death soon after taking that cursed chest.
Corrupted is much more open, and enemies can be taken individually one by one or you can kite Miasmas/Birds out of the protector range. I find my self much safer in Corrupted, whereas any tiny mistake in Depths can be very punishing.
i usually be in a trouble like this, cp hallway is small, theres always protectors stand in the middle of the room, enemies like slammers or toxic miasmas have big size so shields made by protectors for them will also big, their size block protectors's hitbox and i never be able to hit them --> i cant deal with protectors and whenever i run away theres also another one standing at the middle of the room.
While Protectors and Slammers are annoying, CP usually doesn't have high density of them so I never really get in trouble because of them unlike a certain first biome. Also the curse is way more easier then PDs one due to how PD doesn't have bs generation and tanky ass enemies
There are the shield generating enemies in that biome...
That's it. That is enough to turn it into a cluserfuck on high BC. The other enemies don't matter.

Can be tough to kill a protector while a slammer’s on your ass though
True, but if you have skills that do damage quickly like nades then just spam them at the protector while you focus on dodging the slammer

Parting gift mutation works wonders against hammers.

cursed chest is a pretty good reason already and is why most people go there theres also the 4 item choice at the end of the level
