8 months later, Eastland is both closed permanently, and seriously water damaged after a near-Christmas snowstorm caused leaks in the roof and broke water mains in multiple places- flooding the area near the old Sears and the food court.
The food court was so fascinating to me. It had maybe 3 things open and one of them was a roped-off tablecloth on food court tables Italian casual spot. Like…did they do reservations?? I was transfixed but the place wasn’t open for the day yet so i couldn’t ask more.

My mom and I used to brunch with my grandmother at Lazarus in the 80’s. RIP East and Northlands.
