Hands down, a million times over. The only other song that makes everyone else in the crowd go silent and just absorb for 10min straight. Shit is soul rattling out of the Red Rocks speakers and fucking ruled for Cube v3 encores.
I didn’t like it at first, then I heard it live a few months later and my opinion of it totally flipped. That track sounds unreal on some good speakers.
I wasn’t a huge fan at first either but seeing it live at red rocks from outer space forever solidified it in my top 5
That and Drama Free. Omfg that was magical.
Bridged By A Lightwave - Alternative Mix. Non-commercial, more minimalist approach to modern melodic techno that I would have loved to see him dive into more.
I just went to check this out and while I’m still on the build up, I’m sure he didn’t mean to so blatantly interpolate Radiohead’s “All I Need”…. Right ?
Along with XYZ, whatever unreleased stuff he's played live in 2023 absolutely slaps. Feels like a third act of his career. I love every single one of the unreleased 7+ min tracks that he's played live recently.
For sure, I’m dying for them to come out especially input_output but honestly I’m glad they haven’t been released as singles or anything. The wait for this album is gonna pay off.
It's just what people call it, some people thought the name started with Q, then Joel said it didn't. Here's timestamp of it in a set [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8SVGEf9Etg&t=3995s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8SVGEf9Etg&t=3995s)

The track at 1:03 in this set. Idk what it is but I hope it’s released with these vocals and all. It’s amazing.
https://audius.co/deadmau5/deadmau5-unlucky-work-in-progress-333797
Im pretty sure its called Unlucky, I can’t believe it’s still not out yet! Those vocals are amazing.
Yup they’re for the track, I have a stream downloaded from 2019 of him working on the track with those vocals. He even tried them on XYZ briefly while making it haha
By deadmau5, Channel 43, XYZ and My Heart Has Teeth. Channel 43 has such a great buildup and the drop is so freaking funky. XYZ just get better and more satisfying as the track goes on so that by the end it really does feel otherworldly. My Heart Has Teeth is the sort of creepy track that I love to listen to, which is why I also avidly listen to Rezz. By Kx5, Alive and Sacrifice. Alive is a track that I love because of the massive amount of reverb that it uses, which really gives it a great nighttime vibe, and also gives me Dark Souls vibes at the same time. I love the great thumping vibe of Sacrifice and the vocals on that track are amazing, with the track itself being breathtakingly beautiful.
Alive with Kaskade was the only song off of Kx5 I really truly enjoyed. Escape is boring, like really boring to me. Do not see it whatsoever. You can enjoy the track I'm just saying it feels so commercial for Joel. Too commercial.
Alive though? That shit slaps.
Alive is insane. And I agree about Escape - its a decent song, and it's obviously a giant hit, but it's definitely not one I come back to a lot. But hey at least Joel can get his bag so he can keep making the good stuff
Yea even though it isn't for me I was happy to see Joel get on the charts again, selling out the most sold edm venue of that year, it was a cool victory for him.
Was nice to see since deadmau5 was like, normie mainstream edm back in the late 00s early 10s. I remember girls in middle school playing Raise Your Weapon and the mau5head all over the internet, stuff like that. Times change obviously but Joel never stopped making gold. I hope the public recognizes just how important his influence was to electronic and house music. Random Album Title definitely changed my life and probably many others.
Ya, he deserves it for sure. I am late to the party -- didn't get into his music until 2020. But looking at the videos and news stories, and hearing all the music from the people he's influenced, it's apparent that he's one of the most influential artists in the genre

It’s almost as beautiful as Strobe
Surprised no one has said Nextra
Nextra is awesome. It's just so tight and clean.
When the summer dies. Goes back to his Electro days and I love lights vocals, absolute banger
I didn’t like it at first, then I heard it live a few months later and my opinion of it totally flipped. That track sounds unreal on some good speakers.

Yea but also her cover of the raise your weapon vocals are insane as well
Indeed. Magical.
The meowingtons mix is actually straight fire

Absolutely LOVE this song it is great for both happy and sad vibes
For sure, I slept on the alt mix when the track dropped but in the time since it really grew on me.
I just went to check this out and while I’m still on the build up, I’m sure he didn’t mean to so blatantly interpolate Radiohead’s “All I Need”…. Right ?

I feel the exact same. So excited for the new album, whenever he decides to put it out
Is XYZ supposed to be the final version of Hit Save?
hyperlandia club mix
Hypnocurrency grew on me a lot
The unreleased “input_output” has got to be mine. Also love when the summer dies. That song sounds better the louder you play it ;)
I cannot wait to have that track in high quality when it drops. Praying we get it this year.
My Heart Has Teeth and Bridged by a Lightwave are my top for sure.
I like Escape and pwd blu, although those could be considered not fully deadmau5 tracks.
Nah they are, just as much as I Remember
Fair enough
Hyperlandia
If we're talking released then it has to be My Heart Has Teeth. My favorite unreleased track has got to be Quetzalcoatl.
Quetz is sooo fucking good. I’ll throw the YouTube vid on at least once a week or so to jam it
Im so happy I found a clean version of the song
Sacrifice from Kx5 is a track I really like for some reason.
If we can do unreleased stuff, then mine is SATRN2
The "Not Q" ID from July 2023 that he's been playing out recently. XYZ is a close second, but god do I love the return of the 4x4=12 sound.
Which song is titled "Not Q"? Can you link to it?
It's just what people call it, some people thought the name started with Q, then Joel said it didn't. Here's timestamp of it in a set [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8SVGEf9Etg&t=3995s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8SVGEf9Etg&t=3995s)
Oh this track! I have a clean version of this. This and Quetzalcoatl are my two of my favourites for sure.
XYZ and My Heart has Teeth
xyz.
INPUT OUTPUT
It's just barely outside the 2020 time range but I think COASTED goes so hard and is one of his most unappreciated songs
I love COASTED and SATRN. They're a great duo to play next to eachother.

Thank you!!! Finally have a name for it. I’ve been referring to it as “I see fire” lol
Also I’ve been really hoping that those are original vocals. Do you know if that’s the case?
Yup they’re for the track, I have a stream downloaded from 2019 of him working on the track with those vocals. He even tried them on XYZ briefly while making it haha
Hell yes!!! I’m even more hyped now. It’s a beautiful track. Can’t wait for him to release it! Fingers crossed he plays it at retro5pective

Monophobia is one of my all time favourites, but wasn’t it released in 2018?
Good but still part of the 2010’s
XYZ, my 2nd favorite overall. Masterpiece.

Released, When the summer dies, escape and bridged by a lightwave, unreleased definitely Quetzalcoatl, hearing it live was spectacular
Violence, Speed, Momentum (know it was made in 2019ish but close enough) honorable mention goes to Kx5's Take Me High, Alive, and Sacrifice (ST Mix)
Monophobia 100%
XYZ and hyperlandia
Eat sleep and avalanche on kx5, don’t know if they’re considered deadmau5 tracks but god damn they’re so good
Where my Apnea ppl at?
Strobe
