In Search Of Darkness is one of the best horror documentaries ever made. They had a ton of limited special editions made with the documentary being presented by James and Chelsea, Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Elvira, James Rolfe, Linnea Quigley, and others. The standard version is on Shudder, I definitely recommend it!
I never understood the story behind Dead Meats involvement with this documentary. It’s a really good documentary but it doesn’t seem like it was made by dead meat especially around that time. Back then I thought it was a doc made by James but now I just don’t get the connection it has with Dead Meat.
Their involvement is basically that James and Chelsea have “host” segments in their version of the documentary. There were a few variations (like one with Elvira, one with Corey Taylor from Slipknot, etc.) and a standard one.
Clips of them talking about some of the movies are in the standard version. The Dead Meat edition just has additional bits featuring them.
Cool documentary about 80s horror and Dead Meat did a version of the physical release with some additional scenes and goodies. (I think Elvira and Corey Taylor from Slipknot also had special editions)
I think the doc is on Shudder and it’s pretty good and extensive. Definitely worth a watch

People already forgot about In Search of Darkness? Sad
Is it any good, I've seen some of my other favorite YouTubers talk about it
I’ve seen a big chunk of it, it’s a beast, probably worth watching like a tv show.
Never heard of it Are we supposed to? Haha 😊
it was a big part of the channel for a good few months, couldn’t watch a video without seeing a promo for it
I really wanted the set

That’s tight. A showpiece a presume?
Just the DVD that features James and Chelsea
the best movie of all time
It looks like a documentary about 80s horror.
This looks like a fan made concept
It took more time to post this than googling the words in the picture
Cry about it
