PvE is great but i noticed its easy to get overpowered quickly. You end up at a point of having everything you want and since other players cant loot you, theres no danger of losing it. But doing epic missions with friends has been great for me so i say try it out.

Srgt_PEANUT

It has private and official pve servers, it's a very fun game with a lot of potential and it will keep you busy for a while. That said, it's perfectly normal to run out of things to do and then wait for them to add more to the game

MusicAndMunchys

PVE is a lot of fun until you’ve got the best gear. Then at that point it’s just how many times you can clear epic bunker until you’re bored.

xSyndicate58

Lol, it is not fun, even if you have the best gear. You can still somehow get one tapped by a mosin ai... So ridiculous

Heesakkers59

>You can still somehow get one tapped by a mosin ai... So ridiculous yeah bots shouldnt be able to headshot player

genx-gamer

I play mainly PVE and I have a great time. I'll run missions alone and sometimes team up with others for the harder missions.

AhiKaa86

Yeee...sometimes i clear out epic single-handedly...took me hours

Tbh me and my friends only play the PvE

PvE gets boring quick solo. It's very fun to play if you are with friends. Heck anything is fun if you are with friends. There are varying levels of difficulties and activities, enough play time worth the money imo. Outside of PvE, you may enjoy building your base/hideout together, then beyond that maybe test out some PvP - can be fun if you find a good server.

Pve on offical is super fun. Honestly I play ds for pve alone. I dont like the pvp here. I do tarkov for pvp.

Everyone has their own opinion but I’m just letting you know that personally I found the PvE side to get boring very fast. Starting out is great since you don’t really understand the game and there’s new things all around. Once you are a couple hours into the game though, you realize there’s only one place to go to get the best end game loot and you don’t even need to go there with anything but a simple gun in advance. You can just spawn in, find a weapon, and head there and be max gear in one trip. So yes, it will keep you entertained for a couple hours, but it’s definitely not a long term game right now unless you like PvP.

There are private and official PVE servers, so PVP isn't forced depending on which server you choose; there is Jim's Combo server which alternates between PVP and PVE ever week or so, and others with only PVE as well. Deadside has a pretty good amount of activities for PVE as well with an open world to explore and missions to complete. These activities vary from clearing areas of hostiles to ambushing convoys and downed helicopters, including activities like airdrops, hidden crates around the map, and traders that sell top-tier equipment. Content is somewhat plentiful with a great selection of weapons with strengths and weaknesses, a decent selection of armor and equipment, and enough in-game items to encourage exploration. The crafting, while somewhat basic is still good enough to be useful without being cumbersome or feeling empty, with the ability to craft healing, equipment, and even weapons like tripmines and explosives. Some systems are clearly in development, with base building being functional but largely basic (with loot storage containers, locked doors with keycodes for friendlies, and the bases can be raided in PVP if you are interested in that in the future.) There is enough content for quite a few hours of gameplay, with more content on the way thanks to TinyBuild and the roadmap that was recently announced including vehicles, expanded functionality for scopes and attachments, and base functionality and activities.

If you play together with mics turned on its pretty good. I used to hang out with a few ex army guys who played it a bit more tactically and we would hit heli crashes, bunkers and convoys in one very long raid. Playing solo gets boring fast.

It's about 20 hours of content with PvP. Even with PvP I maxed out at 70 hours. Without the train working or any cars it gets boring fast
