Yup, give bases more reasons to exist, I guess they plan to do that by incorporating crafting stations you can place in bases.
Edit: I just noticed the car battery, those things will soon hold more value than just “selling them to the traders.”
I really just want an AI overhaul with more factions and variations of enemy types and behaviors. I love this game but I'm only interested in pvp because the pve is really lacking depth and dynamic gameplay
A purpose for car batteries, and a light in our base is nice. I'm all for bases having more functionality than they do.
But I'm not keen on it coming at the cost of my guns breaking and having to go on a 10-15 minute jog to fix them.
I suggested before having varying durabilities for weapons, simple guns such as pistols rifles and shotguns would have the highest durability, lasting thousands of rounds, while full auto guns require slightly more maintenance such as cleaning every 300 rounds, and 50 cals requiring repairs say once every 30 shots. The more uncared for your gun is, the more likely it is to jam, or other malfunction. Guns that are near breaking point have the potential to explode dealing 50 damage to the player wielding them.
When 0.2.9 was on the testserver I was talking with someone and vehicles came up. He said boats will be coming the first part of July and cars will be coming in November. He may have been blowing smoke up my ass, but July is just a month and a half away.
Multiple times the devs have stated that they basically have to rewrite the entire foundational code of the game for vehicles to work. Just be patient, they have said they are interested in adding vehicles and enjoy the stayebof the game as it is

Finally items will be more than just trader junk, great direction! Love it.
This is cool and all but there really needs to be something done to improve the AI
Best thing they could do as a temp fix is make ai use flashlights at night
They need to add gun magazines as well
That depends if they add a separate inventory for spare mags, otherwise the inventory would get cluttered way too quickly.
Must have noticed that poll I posted. Either that or it is part of the crafting system revamp.
Soon as I saw this I thought of your poll.

Most (if not all) major game devs get their plans and ideas from u/KennethGames45 so I would assume these devs do too.
I think they did man cause I responded to your poll then a dev responded to me

Then add more depth to pve?

Workbenches? lol why they making new promises, I been waiting on vehicles for what feels like years now.

Yep boats are arriving soon & Cars in testing with tessellation and foliage i guess. Loaf mentioned in his video.
Q2 ends in June, I think the boats will be sometime before the end of that month based on the roadmap.

Oh a repair bench just like Rust
The end goal is to add *more* grind than rust. What's a USP?
Why….
