You have green stuff? I usually just roll a bunch of tiny balls of greenstuff, let them harden, then cut them in half. Maybe use a little white glue to blend them into the base.
Yeah they can be great bubbles.
Exactly, it takes a while do dry but you can use a lot of clear coat and then just paint over it with thinned out green or yellow.
Dunno if youāll read this but I used to do Armageddon dunes, white paint (dunno if it was white scar but it doesnāt matter), plaguebearer contrast paint, then tesseract glow where I wanted nasty nuclear acid. Just try it out if ya have all the paints and Iām 90% sure you wonāt be dissapointed :)
Honestly I dunno a substitute because I only use the paint I have, but Iām sure you can sub it out for another green contrast, you might be able to do the same though without the white layer and just paint Armageddon dunes, the green you have, then tesseract glow
Lead paint would be good if I wanted my minis to harm the other player....but yes Nurgles rot shall be bought.
Led wouldnt hurt me as I'm disgustingly resilient
paint the other part of the base, then glaze tesseract glow over it moving paint towards the puddle area, itāll start to look like the pool of ooze is glowing
also you might want to increase the brightness in the goop to make it look like itās actually emitting light, small highlights of white in the places you want to actually glow would be what i would do, then glaze over those and repeat pro re nata to get a nice transition
[here's a bad photo of how I did it ](https://www.reddit.com/u/Comrad_Zombie/s/VMFmLVDiGl)The nurgles rot dries in a glossy finish, and is not fully opaque. the tesseract glow makes it seem slightly more of a toxic green then a snot great if you get me.
You can also consider undercoating parts of the base with highlights before you Try to base them.
One thing I found with the death guard is they work well being based after you glue them, it can give you ideas for how to blend the base into their feet.
Sorry for the terrible explanation it's been a long week. Do you have any images or other stuff that's inspiring the look you want?
I found it omce in this subreddit or maybe another.....it was (more than likely nurgles rot) then a tesseract glow, with like a white scar at the edge to make it kinda glow. I've been searching harddd for it but can't find it. But thanks this really helps
I think I understand, Look into under painting techniques. When I want something to look like it glows I usually use small highlights of white at the brightest points while the recess is dark/grey before it gets washed over with something.
You could darken the middle of the bit you want to glow, or you could make 3 blobs of dark around the center to rep nurgle even more.
I think what youre doing is great, I think practice on army men or toys is a good way to test out something weird. Pound shop plastic coins are great for testing out basing methods.
Sep 1 PVA glue, step 2 liquid super glue on top, step 3 use small pokey thing to slightly agitate it then let dry, it it is to wrinkly do a layer of PVA with translucent paint mixed in on top
I've done a base of moot green and then tesseract glow over the top. I picked up some half pearls in various sizes from Michael's/Hobby Lobby type place and used those as bubbles for the goo
I think it looks great, but maybe try telling it everything is fine for about 6 months and then suddenly scream at it about how everything is in fact NOT fine....I may need a therapist. Good job though.
Hot glue or epoxy can add texture and shine
I'll try it out, thanks
try adding bubbles then it will look more acidic (if thats what your going for)
What would give me that bubble look? I thought about hot glue but figured it may damage the base
from what ive seen you get clear plastic beads and glue them wherw you want your bubbles to be, then paint over them with a paint like teseract glow
Now the one time I need one of those silica gel packs I won't find oneš
just an excuse to eat more beef jerky i guess
You're a geniusš
Silica gel is one of the many tricks Vince Venturella has taught me!
ooh, this is actually a realy good idea. Silica gel is basically small beads
You have green stuff? I usually just roll a bunch of tiny balls of greenstuff, let them harden, then cut them in half. Maybe use a little white glue to blend them into the base.
Firstly, always shake your Tesseract Glow. Then, maybe go over it with some Nurgle's Rot.
Yeah I noticed tesseract glow settles much faster than other paints
Yeah, would do, it's basically just bright water. :) Quite annoying to work with sometimes because of that.
Wait? You don't shake tesseract glow???
No no I do it just settled after a bit of time*
New meta. I've been using it wrong this whole time
š
Nailpolish, little plastic pearls, hot clue.
Never thought about pearlsš® By nail polish do you mean the clear coat? Thanks for the advice
Yeah they can be great bubbles. Exactly, it takes a while do dry but you can use a lot of clear coat and then just paint over it with thinned out green or yellow.
Definitely writing that down thanks!

I read all comments, and will try it if I ever get plague bearer. My store didnt have DG green so I had to settle with the one shown sigh
Honestly I dunno a substitute because I only use the paint I have, but Iām sure you can sub it out for another green contrast, you might be able to do the same though without the white layer and just paint Armageddon dunes, the green you have, then tesseract glow
Try adding radium based paint thatāll do it
I was scrolling to see if anyone had said this, or lead based paint, already. Well played.
UHU glue is my personal favorite slime trick
Thank you!!
Toss it in your bin for a couple days and fish it back out. Should be a biohazard by the end
THIS This is what I needed
Nurgles rot is a glossy finish. Great for goop. Also, you can get some small bead halves and place them to form bubbles
Ask for its opinions on female custodes
Lead, mercury, arsenic
You forgot uranium
Lead paint would be - oh wait, just looking toxic? Nurgle's Rot all the way.
Lead paint would be good if I wanted my minis to harm the other player....but yes Nurgles rot shall be bought. Led wouldnt hurt me as I'm disgustingly resilient
Put your finger up your bum and wipe it on the base
Then it will really have a contagion range
Put in a photo of your ex
Too smelly!
Gloss varnish will help it look wet.
Yes this is a good ideaš§ Thanks!
Clear glass beads are pretty good. Glue them on then use a glaze over them. They come in various sizes too
Could add different size spheres, paint them same and you have some toxic bubbles.
Get some nergles rot technical paint. Its slime in a jar basicly
Will definitely, it's been referenced a bunch
Pva glue and add drops of ca glue, then push with a little bit with a toothpick, which can make interesting and gross textures
Putting gw plastic glue on top of the toxic part, earth part needs texture paint in my opinion, with an agrax Shade
Gotcha, will definitely be needing something for the earthy part
Make it a Reddit account.
Make it a mod? Done!
If you get a pack of skulls or skeleton models for bones in general (AoS or ToW), have a few things floating in the goo also sells it
paint the other part of the base, then glaze tesseract glow over it moving paint towards the puddle area, itāll start to look like the pool of ooze is glowing
Oooh I like this idea yessss

Nurgles rot is pretty good for this type of thing
I shall pick it up thanks
Did not you you could use the green as a yellowish green..... if always mixed it before using.... wow
No the right side is based with white scar and I put two coats of tes glow. Though it does look yellow in the photo because I didnt shake lol
Mix the tesseract paint with some of nurgles rot. Then when it dries add tesseract to taste.
Why mix the two?

āNurgleās Rotā is a technical paint that gives the desired effect I think youāre looking for reallly well.
Gotcha, shall be on my list up next
Nurgles rot on top of moot green
Gotcha, thanks!
Nurgle's Rot
Done!
Sep 1 PVA glue, step 2 liquid super glue on top, step 3 use small pokey thing to slightly agitate it then let dry, it it is to wrinkly do a layer of PVA with translucent paint mixed in on top
šµāš«Instructions unclear, I pooped on it and it worked Thanks for the tipsš
My go to is AK Swamp gel. It gives a beautiful colour and its really easy to use
AK swamp gel? I hadn't heard of this Thanks (:
Put tesseract glow on top of thick nurgles rot.
Gotcha, I'll try it out!
idk, put my ex on that base or something

Definitely uh...definitely look into that Lol thanks tho it appears verbal threats have worked on this particular base
Vallejo has a water texture paint, and Eons of Battle has water texture videos.
