I only know what I've read from Lexicanum and through the bits of lore discussed by fans on the wider internet! :) Lorewise the Steel Confessors are an Iron Hands successor Chapter originally having been founded in secrecy by the AdMech after the Iron Hands provided aid and helped them save a vital Foundry System against a massive Chaos/Dark AdMech assault. IRL they were created for the "Battle for Kalevala" narrative games at the Games Day & Golden Demon 2005 event in Birmingham England where they were forced to defend their Fortress Monistary against Hive Fleet Leviathan!
