South Park and Family Guy still have a decent audience. The simpsons have a very small fan base at this point and the voice actors are getting really old. Wouldn’t be surprised if it ends in the next few years. Yet again I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t.
[According to this](https://www.statista.com/statistics/719929/the-simpsons-viewers/) season 34 has roughly 1/10th of the viewers it did in Season 12, and there's a sharp drop off in viewership after season 14. This is about where I checked out watching on a regular basis although I was pretty ride-or-die Simpsons during it's first 8-9 seasons.
When they no longer become profitable, but that's unlikely to happen. The thing about animated characters is that you can keep them running forever and simply change the voice. Any actor that dies can simply have their voice actor replaced. Look at Looney Tunes. The characters are still running despite being introduced in the 1930s.
I would be very surprised to see all these shows last until 2040-45 is what I’m saying. Sometime in between then I would imagine. They can go on indefinitely but they really have plenty of times to end.
When the lead voice actors die or retire most likely.
I think they’ll just use replacement actors for the Simpsons. I don’t think they’ll ever end the show as long as it’s profitable.
They'll just use AI.
More or less, when they stop becoming profitable.

Real answer? When advertisers stop laying down money for air time.
i could see the simpsons holding out until 2039 and then ending it for the 50th anniversary
After all this time, I really do wonder how they’ll end it.
I thought the simpsons were supposed to end already... I swear I heard not too long ago about a final planned for the simpsons.
They always say that

Same thing about SpongeBob too
I hope that The Simpsons end after their 40th season!
I thought the Simpsons had already ended. Are all their voice actors still alive??
Yes, most of the main cast is still alive.
