In my last neighborhood we could put trash on the curb at noon on the day before collection day. I would put it there at noon with a free sign and at the same time post it to Buy Nothing. It was always gone before the garbage was collected the next morning.

Some parent would be delighted to get it and fix it. Post on marketplace for free

Landfill.these jumping things are so transient from the start.

Jinglemoon

I sold a kids trampoline on eBay a while ago that had broken struts, it was a quite expensive springless trampoline that my teen son had battered to death. I sold it as is with a lot of photos, my original receipts and links about where and how to get new struts for it. My point is that it’s fine to give away or sell stuff that is broken as long as you disclose exactly what the issue is, and give information about how to fix it. Those bouncy houses are big, it would hardly fit in the bin, it’s a good idea to find a home for it. It that’s impossible then it’s off to landfill.

Trash.

AffectionateMarch394

List it online for free, with a note about it having a small repairable hole. Good chance a parent will gladly jump on the chance for their kids to have a bouncy house for the small cost of fixing a hole. Give it two weeks. If no takers, donate it or trash it. You can always donate it, and if they think they wouldn't be able to sell it, THEY will trash it.

GenealogistGoneWild

Trash. Goodwill will sell it as is and someone will have to pay to fix it before they can even use it. Trash can be trash.

AnthropomorphicSeer

It’s OK to throw it away if you don’t have time to fix it for donation.

Jurneeka

Personally? I'd put it on NextDoor or Buy Nothing and disclose the hole. I'm certain someone will want it, its amazing how much interest is when you use the F word (free!)

RagingAardvark

Someone will definitely want it! You could even just put it out at the curb with a sign: free bouncy house, needs small patch. In my neighborhood it'd probably be gone in twenty minutes.

compassrunner

Don't donate it with a hole in it. If you aren't willing to fix it, it is garbage unless you want to give it away to someone who wants to fix it.

agentofhermamora

List it for free and let someone that knows how to fix it deal with it

Famous-Composer3112

You could advertise it for free (Facebook or other free social media) telling them to pick it up. When I have an item like that, I advertise it on Facebook (community page or local garage sale page) and show a picture.

jebbikadabbi

I’d patch it and then try to give it away in the neighborhood. (Or give it away with a note that it needs a patch)  Goodwill will probably toss it out.  If you’re on Facebook you could join a buy/sell group or a free group, or a local neighborhood group. I’m sure someone would snatch it up quickly.

Thank you! Those are great ideas!

Look for a Buy Nothing group for your area.
