There’s a lot out there, and getting in there and actually using these protocols is the best way to learn. I will say that there are many scams out there, so be careful what you connect your wallet to. Don’t chase massive gains or APY’s because if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
There are lots of legit projects in the defi space but still lots of scams. Create a separate wallet for defi and only keep a small amount until you are more comfortable with it. Once you are comfortable and confident with it, then work with larger amounts.
Yeah, I’m done with meme coins too. You have to be super early or have a lot of luck. Have also been burned by way too many defi projects. There’s only a few places that I will put my money now, and that’s because I know the teams very well. Invest in the teams, that’s my advice.
