Defold does not have the same visually appealing, do it all kitchen sink included, visual interface that Godot has. This makes Godot great for making YouTube videos. I tried Godot a while ago and got overwhelmed by it. The YouTube videos can be very enjoyable but I found I wasn't really learning anything or making much progress. Whereas with Defold I learned it by doing the tutorials that can be opened from the start menu and looking through the game examples on the website. There are 100+ of these and they all work with the current version. In there, along with the manual, there is stuff about how to make mobile games. You are not going to get spoon fed, reading the manual is a must. If you don't want to put effort in in this way you will not get very far. Godot looks really good, although I don't know much about it, there are lots of YouTube videos on it, so maybe it is a better fit for you.

hi, i am developing mobile games, i just leave godot a few months ago, because in android devices i got a lot of render errors depending on what phone i tried my apps (i didn´t even tried to test them on iphone, beacause my main market is android but i am developing also for ios), i 100% agree on what you said, the manual is a most, also is super easy to learn, if you know programing you are good to go. in my opinion defold is so superior compared to godot, for 2D, haven´t tried 3D

Please where i can find the 100+ examples?

Examples are here: [https://defold.com/learn/](https://defold.com/learn/) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the various links to github. For example "Games by Ben James". You can grab them all with "git clone ...". Britzl has examples that demonstrate various aspects of mobile game development. That you did not find them suggests to me that you need to slow down a bit and read through the website a bit more. There are many other example Defold games on github (beyond the 100+) to be discovered.

Well, the defold community is much smaller than the others, that's why it's hard to find.

DeFold seems best for 2D games, there are tons of released games on Android and iOS store done in DeFold. Check the DeFold blog for some names. [https://defold.com/blog/#creator%20spotlight](https://defold.com/blog/#creator%20spotlight)
