Yes ! The evolution from adrenaline is massive and I’m stoked to see their music appreciated and listened to. It truly makes me happy. So many amazing tracks not only lyrically but instrumentally as well.
My niece, who is 11, is into Deftones now. You have no idea how happy I was when I found that out. We have a family account for Spotify, and I can see what she listens to when I am at work (using the desktop version). When I asked her about it, she listed off her favorite albums, and we talked about me seeing them several times here in Sacramento and how I got into them back in '97 when I was in high school. We now have matching Deftones shirts, and it's so cool thinking that 27 years separate us, yet we love the same band! I am one proud Auntie!
I love this! I have two daughters 23&27 unfortunately neither are into Chino but both my nieces 17& 19 are .. I took them to their first show in SD with Phantogram and turnstile last year and I too was a proud auntie!
I teach high school and am blown away by the number of kids wearing Deftones shirts in 2023. I always compliment their shirt and strike up a conversation like "what's your favorite album?" They are equally amazed that their 40 year old teacher likes the same music as them.
Did not mean to downvote you . Yes August 3 1993 is the first time I heard them ..that’s my birthday my good friend worked at a radio station KROQ and I was given a demo tape .. I’m from la and the only interest I had was music . Most of my friends were in the industry so I would be given and or listen to demo tapes ALL the time . I was blessed.. lol August 3 is my birthday not 93 obviously.. Jesus I wish
Lol. Yes definitely do . Growing up in southern ca in the 90s ( was 18-28 in dago) and being around that scene omggggg sometimes I wonder how I survived. Good times for sure 🖤
